[Question] How to test GPS hardware...

Hi all,
suddenly my GPS is not working anymore. Can enable GPS and it says it is ok. But when i want use Google Maps, or navigation program the icon in taskbar is not there anymore.
Did try GPS Status, nothing....
Did a fresh rom install and wipe everything i can wipe.. nothing not working.
now i want to know is there a tool or adb option to test the hardware if this is still working.... (maybe GPS is broken)

Did a RADIO rom flash with the one i already had on my HTC... and problem solved....
Still wondering how it can happen that maybe the radio rom was getting crazy...

had the same problem two days ago, same solution... same no idea for the cause

this kind of strange things was my idea only for windows... suddenly it is not working anymore.. But.. Solve this problem was mutch easier haha

This seems to happen whenever you flash a 2.1 ROM. Even going back to 1.5 doesn't fix the problem and a new radio flash is required.

Every now and then manufacturers like HTC will release an update to radio which controls your wifi, data, blutooth. If your current radio is having problems, you will need to update it. Most of the time new radio is included with the update but you can Google individual files as well, hope this explains

[Q] Is There a Radio Rom to flash to our U8800?

is the possibility to flash radio images to our U8800 like the HTC Desire Z for example? i have wi-fi problems with it,... even not turning on with diferent firmwares and diferent customs roms. its giving me error when turning on wifi
i read in htc devices that can fix problems of wireless conectivities like signal,bluetooth and wifi...

What exactly do you mean by "radio rom"?
If that means stock Rom, then yes, there is a variate of stock roms available, that will upgrade the firmware of Wifi/RIL/etc
Try upgrading to one of the B138 Stock Roms...There are no Wifi problems with those.

He means RADIO as a FM receiver. cause our phones have radio but it's disabled, but there is some mobiles with the same cpu and with app they enabled radio feature. i think he was asking for this. What rom enabled radio - answer - there is no such right now.

Is not the FM radio... my wifi is not working, giving me error is the AMSS then? i flash the B162 firmware from huawei, is the latest chinese firmware/rom available, i cant find the B138 (Global latest Firmware available)... in the build.prop is a string that says...
"wifi_hw_is_bcm=true" or something else ---> bcm = broadcom?
is there varios versions of U8800 with diferents wifi module? with broadcom and with qualcomm wifi? i suppose that the chinese market have the broadcom module and the global have incorporated with the qualcomm chipset, i dont know.... sorry for my bad english.... of course Thanks

He mentioned the he couldn't find a stock Rom and that's why I sent him a PM...

if you refer to this news http://www.qualcomm.com.au/news/releases/2009/091112_Qualcomm_Bringing_Flagship_Gigahertz.html it could be there but you need someone who has disassembled the X5 to check if the chipset QTR8600 really exists. once hardware confirmed then its a software matter.

just now was going thrue android 2.3 source and in one audio hardware source (AudioHardware.h) file found this line:

this just tells if somebody made HAVE_FM_RADIO as true than do the rest as you see..so maybe the only think we have to do to enable radio is just make HAVE_FM_RADIO as true and compile the rom... would be great

Stock roms have some files regarding fm radio, so they were probably planning on it. Dev of "spirit fm" said that he might look into the matter...

I have a fake chineese Mini PC stick with Rockchip RK3066 and RTL8723BS WiFI and Bluetooth, 1GB/8GB.
Printed on the case: MK809 III Android 4.2 Mini PC Quad Core---it is a dual core !
I have made also some extra holes in the front to open it up for wifi antenna signal --plastic was shielding it !
Memory chips are : Two Samsung chip
The ROM has a white sticker:

Tried to flash already some ROMs, none booted up, needed to reload vendor supplied original ROM.
Looking for a suitable ROM for this device, any suggestion ?

Have you this original ROM. I have this same Stick. Dont work with any custom ROM. I havent make backup

I have GT08 clone watch and your firmware i can flash to my watch but dont work touchscreen.
It will start, show the home screen and lockcreen button is working too but the touch screen do nothing. :crying::crying::crying:
Golem_s DZ-09 Firmwares arent not good for GT08, because the screen on this watches is mirrored, camera is upside-down ,...

The problem is its a clone. It isn't official that means that the watch has some random clone firmware which no body really knows whats on it.
The screen dose'nt work because the touchscreen is incompatible with the firmware. The only thing you guys could do is keep searching for GT08 32MB firmwares and keep flashing until you find the one for your watch

I find ROM on 4DA russian forum of my GT08 clone (MTK61D_btdialer_11c) and i flash (FlashTool_v5.1420.00 Azeem) it and everything works.
Then I have a problem with Invalid IMEI.
I was use SN write tool and bplgu file from Golem_s firmwares of GT08 (MT6260) and i writen to the watch a correct IMEI number.
Now is my smartwatch like a new and everything is OK.
Big thanks to Golem_ and AerogamingHD.

It is just original firmware, but it is work good. It is the same like it was in watches when i bought it.
No new options, no new faces...

Hi, I am facing a similar problem with my gt08. its a mtk6261DA, 32mb winbond rom. i have tried all the roms posted here and on the google drive. i still couldnt find one that works for me.
I have these problems when i flash with 32mb firmware:
1. the display has inverted colors like a photo negative.
or 2. the touch doesnt work
0r 3. the touch is inverted
or 4. the screen is inverted but touch doesnt work.
or 5. the screen is inverted in colors and shifted a bit up from bottom which looks like a broken display with vertical lines.
or 6. in some cases it may be the combination of two or three of the things listed above
i just got these watches a dz09 and a gt08 both have the same board and specs.. i even verified it by opening them. but unfortunately and stupidly i didnt take a back up of the firmware and because of my bad luck i couldnt find any firmware working with that. can you help me? i saw ur firmwares on the drives.. i hope you or someone can help me thanks.

even if you had a backup you cannot reflash it because on these fake watches there is no space allocated for installing anythink even 1mb of data.

Trying to fix my radio that stopped working the touch buttons after a hard reset, I tried to install another ROM.
I know, I know, but my radio had a strange firmware and I don't know if there is a compatible firmware for it. MCU: CVD1810-WJ_19.12.30.16, Build: ZXDZ_2019.12.30.16.
I opened the radio so that I can take photos of the motherboard and labels. I'm lost here.
The radio connects to SP Flash and enters download mode, but the ROM that I got its not compatible. The screens stay black.
Please let me know what you guys think and if you can throw me a hand with a compatible firmware better...

marchnz, Honestly, the search that I have being doing is looking for something like the MCU and Build #'s that I had.
I have read many threads and its my believe after reading the posts, that there are many different MCU's and that I should install something like the one that I had.
Mine started CVD, and I don't know if I can use another MCU like YT9217 , YT9218 or something like that.
I dont know which software is compatible with my hardware so that I can fix it.

Some of the firmware that are posted here are the two (2) .bin and .upd files that I cant flash with SP Flash.
And the ones that I download with have scatter txt with all other files, they give me errors on SP Flash, I assume that is because I'm trying to flash something that is not compatible with my headunit.

Did you find a solution for this? I also have a CVD1810 ZXDZ unit which I'd like to root, but can't find much information specific to the unit..
