Hi to all newbies
I decided to make this thread because I have found several newbies entering here to Universal section thinking that Universal refers to all models and IS NOT!
Here I present you HTC UNIVERSAL:

Anyone?
I don't know what to make of it but some programmer might find this interesting. That is the reason I'm posting this. I personally don't understand how this app can improve the speed of our phones. If that is it's intention in the first place.
Read more about it here:

...and a demo of it in work?

Here is where I read it in the first place:
http://androinica.com/2010/07/22/dr...ms-to-pulverize-java-code-execution-on-froyo/
They mention XDA-developers
It seems to be a toolchain for GCC and they sell this to the OEMs only.
P.S. There are some threads about it already!
Hi!
I'm willing to dig into the driver layer of the trackpad because i would like to try some tricks.
I'm comfortable with system dev, Java, and other stuff, i just need to know how to start to get to it? Which files to look at, should i install the whole SDK from Google, should i install even more stuff to edit the system... ?
Thanks for your much appreciated help
This thread should be in General read the [REF] next time.

Yeah sony, I would love to build my own linux kernal. Anyway, the question is - Can someone explain to me how can this be useful ? Is it better than custom roms or is it the exact same thing? Does it give any advantages for xperia users? I know this isn't exacly the newest thing but I don't understand really, are you using this for building roms ?
Hi!
In my job we recieved a bunch of android-motherboards that's been used in info-kiosks.
They're a crippled version of android 7.1, and i was wondering if its possible to install stock android or perhaps some lightweight linux distro on it?
I can connect with adb, but don't really know what to do next :-/
Any pointers in the right direction is much appreciated.
