I picked one of these up and i must say, it is impressive. Size and weight are nice build quality is acceptable. and features are in the middle area of good enough. It can and has been dual booted with Ubuntu and does have full driver support for Linux. I am waiting to see an Android x86 port.
Some Microcenter's have this tablet open box for $159 which is a steal for these specs.
I bought the 8" for $99. which is pretty much the same thing - just less memory. I would like to try install linux on this device also.
Winbook TW1000 Tablet
I picked one up this week. Microcenter also sells a keyboard/cover/stand for $39 (I believe) but the store that I buy from is currently out of stock.
This tablet is pretty nice for the money - Full version of Windows 8.1, pretty good performance...
Oh, and it'll take up to a 64G micro SD.
EDIT: The Microcenter part number of the "Key Cover" is 409235
someone can help me and upload the driver's for the tw100 10.1" ...I installed the windows 8.1 on these and I don't have now the drivers

Cube iwork11 - 10.6 - 1080p - Atom Z8300 - 4GB - 64GB - Windows 10 - Wacom Stylus

Hey all, I have just ordered the Cube iwork11, it's basically a cheaper version of the Cube i7 Stylus reviewed here in the forum. It's got the same exact screen, housing, wacom support and keyboard dock. The only thing that has changed is the Core M, has been replaced with the cheaper Atom X5 Z8300 (1.84Ghz boost) Gen8 12 EU Intel graphics and the 64GB SSD is now a cheaper and slower 64GB eMMC drive.
The current price $273, I ordered it from Gearbest here: http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_261671.html Once I receive the tablet and keyboard I'll post my first impressions.
Cube iwork11 Atom X5 Z8300 specs:
10.6 inch 1920 x 1080 PLS panel (Same panel the Surface Pro 2 SAMSUNG LTL106HL01-001)
Built in wacom support
10 point multi touch screen
4GB of DDR3 Ram
Front 2MP Camera and 5MP rear camera
Realtek RTL8723BU Wireless B/G/N and BT 4.0
9000mAH battery
Support for keyboard dock, with 2 x USB 2.0 ports and slot to stow the stylus
MicroUSB 3.0 Port
Mini HDMI Out.
Press images and info:
Reserved space for downloads, hands on videos etc etc
Any luck with the shipping? I ordered mine on the 12th of November and it hasn't even changed status from 'Processing' to 'dispatched'

» RockChip Limitations & Disadvantages « When to use RK or AML chipset devices???

G'day guys!
Has anyone read any reseach or articles regarding AMLogic and RockChip-based Android device differences (i.e. benefits and limitations)?? Apart from the same obvious information repeated and regurgitated thousands of times of other sites (hexa core, big little, blah), what are the real-world benefits / disadvantages of RockChip RK33xx devices?
For example, I just learned that RockChip (even RK3399 / RK3368) does not support HDR?
So I felt a topic should be created, to identify a clear and concise answer so it can be added to the topic FAQ or some Topic sticky.
So I hope an RK veteran could answer some questions, or atleast point to a relatively recent article, already covering this information on a deep-ish level:
What does not having 'HDR' support mean for a media centre device? What can't I do?
Where will not having 'HDR' affect/restrict my use of a multimedia TV box?
When is it best to avoid RockChip and return to AMLogic devices?
How can I plan to avoid experiencing issues with this lack of HDR support?
Thanks for your time and Cheers! :good:
There are so many items for sale on eBay that state they support "HDR", "HDR10", ...
What the hell!!! Maybe it was just RK32xx devices, as there are too many if this sh!tty old reviews around!
Looking at the devices with a minimum spec of:
? 3+ USB 2.0, 3.0 & OTG Ports (Optional: USB-C/Type-C, USB 3.1).
? HDMI 2.0 4K UHD 60fps HDCP 2.2 Video/Audio.
? AV Port - AKA 3.5mmm Audio & CVBS Video/Audio (red, white, yellow RCA's).
? SPDIF/TosLink/Fibre HD Audio.
? Gigabit LAN Ethernet.
? Wi-Fi B/G/N/AC & Bluetooth (BT) 4.0-4.1.
? TF Adapter - AKA a Micro SD Card Slot (Trans-Flash Memory).
DDR3 RK3399 models:
* CloudNetgo CR19 at $199 AUD (4GB DDR3, 4x USB (Type-C), BT 4.0, e-SATA, 3.5mm MIC, 3.5mm Headphones, External antenna, ...)
* R-TV X99 -or- K99 Max at $170 AUD (4GB LPDDR3, 3x USB (Type-C), BT 4.1, ...)
* H96 Max at $189 AUD (4GB LPDDR3, 3x USB (Type-C), BT 4.0, ...)
Then DDR4 S912 models:
* Beelink GT1 at $100 AUD (3GB DDR4, 3x USB, BT 4., ...)
* R-TV S10 at $100 AUD (3GB DDR4, 4x USB, BT 4.1, ...)
* Tanix TX8 Max at $100 AUD (3GB DDR4, 2x USB, BT 4.0, ...)
Have I missed any other models with RK3399 Hexa-core (6 core) CPU and 4GB DDR3 or 3GB DDR4?
