I have a redmi note 7 china version... after 2/3 days i m going unlocking bootloader ..i thought after release of global rom i will flash it on my device... but todays launch event make me totally confused as note 7 releases with 12+2 mp and pro version releases with sd 675 having camera 48+5 MP...so which global rom i can flash?? One having same processor but not same camera other different processor but same 48+5 mp like mine one!!!!????
U can install rom from xiaomi eu
if board name of two phones is the same, you can flash global on Chinese version. Chinese rom enable some features not on global rom, so 48mp on chinese rom maybe just a feature like that.

I'm curious about Xiaomi Redmi Pro, but I'm so new with Xiaomi device. Does anyone know what is difference between Redmi Pro Globle Edition vs Chinese Edition. I heard that devices have the same hardware, but Chinese version cannot flash MIUI International firmware. I just wonder if it has the same hardware, why it cannot flash international firmware. Can anyone tell me the difference between Redmi Pro Globle Edition vs Chinese Edition?
As far as i know you can flash the Global rom when it comes out without any problems.
There is no Global ROM or Global version device. Redmi Pro is only for china market, and have only chinease original MIUI version ROM. Reselers flash custom roms for some markets so that is not original ROM. You can flash custom recovery TWRP and flash ROM from xiaomi.eu. Difference is that custom eu rom does not have chinease language throught system, no bloatware and much more language selections, it has google play services etc. When Xiaomi release a Redmi Pro for global market, than we will get original Global ROM from Xiaomi, till than you can use custom ROMs.

I bought Redmi Note 7 3/32 Indian Variant few days ago. It's saying that I have MIUI 10.2.7.0 Global Stable Version (PFGINXM). Is it possible to use Chinese ROM or Global ROM on this device? I know I have to unlock bootloader first, but answering my question will help me enough.

So here's my problem I have a rn7 indian version which now Xiaomi discontinued because Xiaomi launched a new rn7s model in India which is same as rn7 China or global versions
Now as I think after discontinuing of this rn7 device Xiaomi won't give regular updates and even don't gonna think abut this device so I thought of Flashing rn7s or rn7 global rom on my device as there is no difference between them the only difference is about the back camera module indian version rn7 have 12+2 and global and rn7s have 48+5 mp camera other than that everything is same so I want to know can I flash indian rn7s or rn7 global version miui rim on my rn7 indian version bcz I love miui and I don't want to flash Xiaomi EU rom on phone I only want official rom

Just purchased a redmi note 7, looked at the miui ROMs for this device and see there is an Indian, russian, global and EEA version, labels on my box say Global version but the s/w installed is the EEA version, I'm guessing I cannot install the Global version, it was so much easier when they just had Chinese and Global versions.
Does anybody know if the Global Rom can be installed on the EEA version of note 7 without causing any problems such as bricking it ? Reason, wallpaper carousel does not work properly on the EEA rom

Sorry if I am not asking my question in the right forum section.
I just got my hands on a OnePlus 8 Pro Chinese version (I actually live in China). It came free, so I don't complain, but it came with ColorOS 13.
Any pointer to the proper methodology to flash it with OxygenOS ?
For information, it is a IN2020, with 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM, Snapdragon 865, running ColorOS 13.
