1) Download the Stock ROM for N910V
2) Got into Download (Mode Power + Home + Vol Down)
3)Flash the downloaded firmware via Odin
4) Reboot
5)Repeat Step 2
6)Flash CF Auto Root for N910V Via Odin
and you are done
Note: This is all only possible if there is a CF Auto Root for N910V or of there are other methods of rooting N910V but since you are already on custom I am guessing there is

You might want to flash a "safe" firmware instead of the official one. If you use a non modified firmware it's going to lock your bootloader again and you'll have to do the bootloader unlock procedure again.
Link to safe firmware- this one has the bootloader removed so it won't lock your phone again. Flash that file in Odin and then flash this file using Twrp.

Can I just flash this file if I want to unlock Bootloader? I mean like download and flash this safe firmware via Odin, will that unlock ? my Bootloader?

No, unfortunately not. The "safe" firmware doesn't contain the bootloader (aka the aboot.mbn). Therefore it won't replace your currently locked/unlocked bootloader so no changes would take place either way. So whatever state your bootloader is in before you flash the safe firmware is what will remain after flashing.
I don't know if I'm making this more confusing for you or less. Let me know if I need to explain that better.

Downgrade from 4.3 to 4.1.2

My phone have
Custom Binary count: No.
Device status: Official.
In the setting>about device>status>device status:Normal. Now, I'm getting on 4.1.2 from MJ5 4.3. I used the followings
1. flash the respective official 4.1.2 firmware from sammobile.com. after finish flashing , go to recovery mode and wipe data.
2. flash Philz recovery via Odin.
3. install updated 4.1.2 modem (XXDME4 / DXDMF1 / DDMG1) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044937 via CWM (at this step you should get IMEI back.)
4. root the device with CF-auto root.(CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar)
5. install Triangle away to reset flash counter.
6. full unroot super SU
7. wipe all data/factory reset .
Check the device status in setting. And then go to download mode to check again.
I'm not sure is this steps working on every Galaxy note 2 N7100. But actually I've been downgraded to 4.1.2 and I can get OTA also (already checked).
I decided to downgrade my N7100 because most of the custom roms use high RAM usage.
When at the firmware upgrade fail status,
1. Just flash "Philz recovery" via Odin.
2. After finished, Long press Vol up + Home + Power button to get into recovery mode.
3. Choose Wipe data/factory reset and "CLEAN TO IN STALL NEW ROM"
All of this step finished, Go to download mode "Vol down + Home + Power button" and flash the firmware (4.3 or 4.1.2 again).
NOTICE.
Dear all,
The latest 4.3 official firmware (MK4 or later ) has KNOX enabled bootloader and can't be downgrade. So, don't try to downgrade If your bootloader is KNOX enabled.

Remove KNOX bootloader to return to stock - using Dr. Ketan Method
Hi Guys,
I just want you opinion before i do this step. Hence asking
KNOX enabled boot loader has messed up my idea of return to Stock either via KIES or via ODIN.
I flashed the official Indian 4.3 ROM on my EU model NOTE 2 over the leaked ROM with MJ5 and it failed. I couldn't recover the phone with KIES either.
KIES will say that firmware update / emergency recovery has encounterd an error.
ODIN says FAIL and "Device Unsupported" appears in Download screen.
Shall i try Dr. Ketan's KNOX bootloader removal method to get my mobile back ? ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500823 )
Can i then flash the original firmware N7100XXDMF1 on my Note 2 (EU version) ?
Would appreciate if you guys could help me on this.
I can still access the download mode with KNOX boot loader.
Thanks

I am using Indian 4.3 rom on my EU device (N7100 Note 2)
It use Know enabled Bootloader.
* When I try to flash MJ5 bootloader with Odin, it failed. (incorrect version)
* When I try to flash EU 4.1.2 rom with Odin, it failed. (incorrect version)
Is there a way to downgrade to EU 4.1.2 rom? I guess NO

Right now, there is no way ti downgrade the bootloader once you've updated to the official 4.3... however dr. Ketan said he will start to work on it soon

Same problem here
I flashed the 4.3 indian version. After 40 minutes it doesn't finished and my laptop battery is discharged. When i switch on the phone, it shows me the message error "firmware upgrade encountered".
Kies doesn't work.
I'm not able to enter in the recovery mode. I'm able to enter in the download mode. If i try to flash the rom again with odin, it shows me this error:
Any suggestion? thanks
flash recovery thru odin then maybe restore a nand backup or flash the new rom via cwm
So is there some other here already tried this step and got success??? please post location and if your from custom rom or from official rom? thanks

I'm able to flash the recovery thru odin, just do it and now i'm able to boot in recovery mode.
But i'm not able to flash the new rom via cwm because i'm not able to mount the sd card (it works only as usb storage, not as sd card mode and so i'm not able to upload the rom file on it).
I can find a solution for this, but i'm not sure it will work because now i have the knox firmware (warranty bit 1) and it isn't downgradable. Am i right?
thanks

[How-To] Update to G900P_OD3-5.0 and KeepRoot w/Knox(0x0)

**You can begin the following process from any Build/ROM but you must already have Root Access**
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
Downloads:
- G900P_OD3_Stock_Rooted_ROM
Set your screen timeout setting to 10 mins before beginning!
1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Open the FlashFire app and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Press "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Leave "Auto-mount" unchecked under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and set "Reboot" setting to *"Download."
6. Press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the **flash.
7. Once the flash is complete and the device reboots into "Download" mode, flash the G900P_OA6_Bootloader using Odin's PDA/AP slot.
*If you are already on the OA6 bootloader, set "Reboot" setting to "Normal" and skip Step 7.
**The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition.
Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the Sprint splash screen for about 1 - 2 minutes before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Known Issues:
- None!
Notes:
1. The above process will not affect your Knox Warranty Flag.
2. The process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, and Stock Recovery to OD3. The ROM will not update your bootloader to OD3 in order to allow downgrading to previous firmware versions.
3. No need to wipe prior to flashing! The ROM will automatically perform a factory data reset.
4. If you do not already have root access (or to unbrick) you must flash the NE5 full Odin .tar using Odin's PDA/AP slot and root with TowelRoot, before continuing with the above process.
5. To learn more about FlashFire's capabilities on locked bootloader devices see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60070810&postcount=2

3. No need to wipe prior to flashing! The ROM will automatically perform a factory data reset.
4. If you are currently unrooted and on a non-"Towelroot-able" firmware version you must a)downgrade to NE5 using Odin, b)root using Towelroot then proceed with the above process.

Since the ROM will not flash the OD3 bootloader you will be able to downgrade back to 4.4.2, however you will need to Odin flash the OA6 bootloader in order for the ROM to boot. As for sim unlock, I know nothing about how that works on this device.

Okay, can you check if I understood the process correctly?
1. I'm in stock OD3, not rooted so I need to root my device first. (Is root necessary? and do you know how to root OD3?)
2. Get flashfire app.
3. Copy G900P_OD3_Stock_Rooted_ROM to storage.
4. Flash using flashfire app.
5. Flash G900P_OA6_Bootloader using ODIN.
6. I can now downgrade to stock NE5 using ODIN. (can I use the one from sammobile.com?)
Can you check if I understood the process correctly? Thanks.

The point of this process is to keep knox (0x0). Twrp will trip the warranty bit so use towelroot. If you do not know what root is I suggest that you first do alot of reading before flashing anything.

Okay. Let me just clarify if I understood this.
The things that I need:
1. Flashfire
2. G900P_OD3_Stock_Rooted_ROM.zip
3. G900P_OA6_Bootloader.tar.md5
4. SM-G900P_NE5.tar
Process:
1. Flash G900P_OD3_Stock_Rooted_ROM.zip in flashfire.
2. Flash SM-G900P_NE5 .tar in ODIN. What will happen after I boot this?
3. Towelroot
4. G900P_OA6_Bootloader.tar.md5 in ODIN.
Can you check if I understood it right? Thanks.

Root process for SM-A300FU

I just got an A300FU, and would like to know a few details about how to root it, basically: do I have to root it first, and then update it to Lollipop?
I take it, while on 4.4.4, CF Auto-Root should work just fine, but what after that? Can I use Samsung's software update app to download Lollipop? If not, does it have to be flashed with Odin?
There are numerous ways. If you are rooted, and lose know fuse warranty, then you might as well do a proper job.
The way i prefer to root is through a Customer Recovery. Flashing preferably TWRP, will allow you to flash the latest SuperSU package, or it will ask you to root with any older version from it's ability to detect root access.
I am not aware nor informed of any root method keeping knox 0x0 as i never bothered with it.

Yeah, I know that, but what I'm asking is, whether to root first, while I'm on KitKat, and then update to Lollipop (and if that's possible after rooting), or root it after updating to Lollipop.

I suppose you dont give a damn about Knox? Good.
You should flash Lollipop first, as it features a newer Modem and Bootloader, unfortunately we dont know the changes, but they can add to things like better battery life, better signal.
so, download any latest Stock ROM, if you are branded (Carrier) then choose a branded rom as it has a hidden partition which doesnt match with the Unbranded ones. You can tell if it's branded as sites that keep firmware information put the Carrier on brackets, look here i.e for A300FU, just hover over the Region value.
The latest Unbranded firmware is A300FUXXU1BOL3 CYV (Cyprus), there are loads of Branded OL3 as well.
After you do all this, flash TWRP, flash SuperSU. and your set.

Nah, Knox doesn't really matter all that much.
So, I have my A3, currently on 4.4.4. I go download the firmware you linked, flash it using Odin, and then flash TWRP, through Odin as well.
I don't know. I feel like there's something I'm missing... don't I have to flash CF Auto-root before SuperSU?
Also, sorry for bothering, but are there any other place to download the firmwares? The one in the link originally said it would take ~5 hours, but then failed twice already.

Exactly, the Stock ROM will update the overall stuff, the TWRP will replace the Recovery. The TWRP is actually optional, it's up to you if you want a custom recovery, personally it makes things easier.

CF Auto-Root, it's the only (easy) way to have root without touching the Recovery. If you have TWRP, no need to go for CF Auto-Root, instead you just flash the SuperSU.
Just so you know, CF Auto-Root and SuperSU are made by the same person, and CF Auto-Root includes SuperSU, thats why you dont need it if you have a custom recovery.

you can use sammobile, it offers a bit extra speed if you register.
Kingroot works on lolipop (5.02) without triggering knox. I successfully rooted my phone (simple: I downloaded apk, install, root).
Personally, i'd trust rooting only what contains SuperSU.
Kingo has its own manager and desktop software which make it very uncomfortable to use.
Fairly though, it's the only non-knox flipping root method

I know thread is old, but I am trying to find a walkthrough to help a buddy with his A300FU...
Where do I find an updated guide to root, TWRP and find a basic slim rom?

The roms are on the Original Dev and Developer boards. That's exactly where you'll find TWRP too (just search A300FU and A3FU on these boards and you'll have a view of your options).
And flash SuperSU in twrp for root.

Would you use Odin to root or Kingo PC version?

I dont like/trust any other rooting method except SuperSU.
1. Flash TWRP.tar with odin, make sure you untick auto-reboot on odin, as it will reflash the stock recovery.
2. Flash SuperSU.zip in TWRP.
DONE.

Can I reboot to system after that?
How can I reboot to recovery with buttons?
When should I flash a basic ROM and gapps?
Which one would you suggest, considering that she does not expect additional weird functions but just a rom (at least 5.1) without bloatware and other heavy stuff to load
ROM and gapps are up to you, there are a few of AOSP options you can choose.
To flash TWRP through odin, use vol down + home + power
To boot to recovery (twrp), vol up + home + power.

[SOLVED] bricked my phone using twrp app...

tried to install twrp from app.. got the "software not authorized..." message.. tried to boot from download mode as others have suggested but still recieve "software not authorized..." message..
phone was loki`ed from begining and never took at&t updates. in odin 3.09 phone shows as a com..
is there anything i can do to bring this phone back to life??

thanks for your response... holding the up-volume and power only results with the same "not authorized" screen.. also adb does not list it as a device but odin does add it..
Download mode is power and volume down.

Just flash the stock rom in Odin and perform a factory wipe before booting the stock rom for the first time.

well that worked brilliantly. what should i use to get twrp and root back?
You can use Odin to flash twrp and root with an unlocked bootloader.
Twrp: https://dl.twrp.me/jflteatt/
Flash SuperSU from twrp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/stable-2016-09-01supersu-v2-78-release-t3452703

Towel root works with the MDL bootloader for rooting. Can't tell you how to get TWRP, I use CWM on my at&t S4.

i just used the CASUAL app i linked earlier.. it worked to get root and installed twrp..
now i'm looking for a decent rom to install.. all the ones i used to use aren't supported any longer..
I hear Thor ROM and Golden eye ROM are nice and fast TW roms. For non touch wiz there is probably an CM or AOSP rom out there somewhere.

Remove frp lock in rooted soft bricked phones.

SORRY ABOUT MY BAD ENGLISH
I am writing this tread because i recently unlocked the frp lock on my bricked ROOTED samsung galaxy note 5 (SM-N920C). I faced problem in flashing stock firmware as my phone lost drk. And hence i do research and it took about a month to find a solution. I am sharing it here.
Tools i used.
1. Samsung tool pro( cracked version)
2. SM-N920C Combination file:
http://shell.boxwares.com/default.aspx?DeviceModel=SM-N920C&Type=All#fh5co-table
Because i am on nougat firmware the Samsung tool pro doesn't work and at the same time i am not able to down grade the firmware due to frp lock.
3. TWRP RECOVERY
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxynote5.html
PROCEDURE:
1. Flash the combination file in download mode. And wait for the phone to boot. In my case the phone doesn't boot.
Then go to download mode agian and remove frp lock with samsung tool.
2. Flash TWRP.
3. Flash any custome rom from TWRP. :good:
simply go to download mode and flash official firmware
after phone starts go to settings>>developer mode>>enable oem unlock toggle
that's all no frp lock anymore. i wonder why it took you 1 month to figure this out.

Actually, when the phone is under the frp lock. Flashing stock firmware under odin will not work. At least it happened to my n920g. I used the emergency restore through the samsung smart switch app.

Flashing firmwares will not undo FRP. No matter how many you flash. Solving the FRP problem lies elsewhere. And to another comment some FRp locked sammys will flash in odin under lock,Others will not. FRP lock is contained in a Partition in the device that is not touched by odin. If flashing orig stock firmware does not boot due to DRK problem then that has to be addressed first. I have not had a Note 5 in a while but This much I do know.
