Best head unit to buy for a Jetta mk6 - Android Head-Units

Hello, I'm looking to buy a good stereo for my 2014 VW Jetta, which is the latest in the market that has the form to fit perfectly in the console of the car, the idea is to later play with the rom and mods, I saw stereos of 8 cores and 4 ram px5, in terms of MTCB or MTCD, which should I choose?

Im looking Joying units, there are new ones with 8.1 system, Intel chip, do you recommend them? So I see the roms there are only for 8.0 with PX5 chip.
The Joying I think are the best, plus the 9-inch buttonless that looks fabulous, other brands that look are the Pumpkin and the Atoto, are the most named in the forum.

Head Units with non-crappy displays

Hello. I'm looking for a head unit for my 2005 Mustang. Most of the full android head units I've been seeing use a quad-core 1.6ghz cpu and have a 1024x600 display.
Can anyone recommend a unit that is better than that? I'd prefer it runs Lollipop or newer, since I plan on installing AutoMate on it, and it'd be nice to have a unified flat UI when using other apps such as Plex.
What do you think you need for 7inch display?

At least proper 1280x720. Anything material design looks a heck of a lot nicer with a higher PPI.
dont know the specs are up to your desires, but the 8 inch screen on my Joying looks pretty great:

Autopumpkin replacement unit

Good morning all.
I've being in a battle with autopumpkin now for over a year. I purchased a rk3188 with 1gb ram running 5.1 around about this time last year. My argument is on the basis of that the mic quality is dreadful.
They have agreed on going half price on a new unit. The units they have offered me are:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0756Z2MKS
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0756GCQGH
Unfortunately they don't state what cpu/,board are which are powering these units.
What do you guys think? Would the mic quality be any better or is it worth me seeking out a auto technician to sort out the mic setup on my old unit?
Thank you
First link is the same px3 as you have (rk3188) but improved with 2gb ram and 32gb Rom
Second link is a px5
I will go to px5....there is good support on forums by developers.
My px5 has external Mic and I don't have any major issues

In the end I went for the px5 unit. Difference is night and day performance wise. Feels less like a HD2 running android and more a mid ranged 2016 smart phone. So far no hickups with play music downloading and playing music while also running a sat nav
The screens a little smaller but made up with a higher resolution and more brighter.
The call quality has certainly improved though not 100 percent. But it will do.
Thanks

Will 4gb Px5 be enough, or is a Px6 worth the cost and lost features?

I found a Wondefoo PX5 (mtcd) unit for my Volkswagen that has the OEM look (important to me) so I don't get robbed, 720p screen, DVD, and most importantly the DSP, $270. Dasaita has the DSP with Px6 but costs about $430and is definitely aftermarket looking, and 1000x600 screen, and no disk drive.
Is it worth sacraficing features and the extra money and to get the Dasaita PX6 performance and supposed quality? Everything I'm reading points to Dasaita as the go to
You don't say which car you have but I would suggest the K3 high from Ownice just because it's a MTC PX5 with an IPS screen and there's lots of support and customization for it here. There's a pro version and it appears to be PX6 with 64GB but I wouldn't bother with it. I have the PX5 K3 pro and I don't regret buying it but I don't think it was worth the extra money. If there's a feature you would like from the pro version you can ask for it when you place your order. And ask to ship with the HU not mounted to the faceplate that will save you headaches their packaging is not the best.
I think the Dasaita has a CSN MCU. I haven't been following development on it so I'm not sure what customization is available.

Are there any units with a higher resolution than 1024 x 600 yet?

I'm looking at getting a new Android HU, but despite the newer ones having a faster CPU (I assume the PX6 is faster?) and 4GB RAM, the resolution is still a relatively chunky 1024 x 600.
Yes...1280x720
Dasaita new px6 is on this resolution

There are several units, including Joying, that offer rotatable 1024x768 screens, or 1280x720 screens. But many resellers have them now.

Which Dasaita units have 1280 x 720? I just bought a new Max6 a little over a month ago and it's 1024 x 600. I had a quick look on their store and I can't find any Dasaita units with the higher resolution. Not saying you're wrong, just that I haven't seen them, so if you have a link that would be great, thanks

TDA 7850 vs 7851, big difference?

Hello, I know what i'd like to buy, just not sure which of the two:
TDA 7850 + intel SC9853i
or
TDA 7851L + Rockchip PX6
Check the community support.
