Overall speed - LG V50 ThinQ Real Life Review

Would you say that the LG V50 ThinQ is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the LG V50 ThinQ exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?

Snapdragon 855 is a very fast mobile processor, barely second only to the updated 855+ in 2019.
6gb of RAM has yet to present me any real world limitation, because apps reload fast enough if they have been dumped from RAM that you can often not even tell much if a difference anyways.
Loading a large game is decently fast, and installing apps is very quick.

You will struggle to notice any difference between any Snapdragon 855 device. Yes, it is fast. Maybe faster or slower than competitors but it doesn't make any difference. V50 is just fast enough and there is no so many place for improvement in v60 because of in most daily task snapdragon 855 based devices are lightning fast.

is it just me or does the phone (perhaps only the launcher?) feel laggy all round

Snapdragon 855 is top of the line. Plenty of ram and fast storage.

It is better than average. But again, I think the software is holding this phone back. It's nowhere near with a Samsung or other phone with same hardware.
Performance is comparable to other 855, including the S10 series. The ONLY way to slow the phone to a crawl is by switching to LG's aggressive maxinum mode. Otherwise it's a certified flagship, and a darn good one for < $250.
The LG G7 (TMO) and v30 (ATT) had a poor showing relative to other phones with the same SoC, but this doesn't extend to the G8 (ATT).
Super impressed. This phone is so fast and smooth and just fluid all the way around. I actually prefer it over my op6t and mi mix 3 5g thinking about buying it's big brother the 8x but the screens not as good.

Speed is on par with previous generation of snapdragon 8XX perhaps. No sign of lag in game even with medium power saving ( 70% cpu speed).
I second this. In about two months of light and heavy usage this phone never lagged. Interactions are very smooth and fast (coming from a Galaxy S7, which started to lag after very short usage)
overalls performance is good ui very responsive & fluid, no signs to complain about it. great combination between SD730 soc with one ui

The Honor 20 Lite has the Kirin 710 chipset, and my model comes with 4GB of RAM. The overall speed of this phone is very good. No lag or performance issues when using the phone for general tasks.

Everything is buttery smooth on this device. Its internals are fundamentally an S10e so it's no surprise that every app and game I've tried has been flawless. 8Gb of RAM isn't bleeding edge but it's certainly plenty for current games and the Snapdragon 855+ is beefy enough too.

The LG V60 seems very quick especially compared to V40

comparing to the Essential PH-1 this phone is very quick, though not as quick as some of the other more bare boned (or is that less bloated) Android phones.
Lightning fast compared to the V30+ I replaced.
Pulling up GBoard to type something up used to take a half-second too long, just enough to be noticeable and annoying.
Not anymore. I'm very happy so far.
Multitasking powerhouse. No issues here.
