Anyone know how to reinstall Android from Ubuntu Touch? I have a OnePlus One and most guides require TWRP which can’t be installed on Linux.

Yeah, I proved myself wrong. I have now successfully installed LineageOS via TWRP. Thank you!

Hello, you don't need to root for flashing TWRP. All you need is an unlocked bootloader.
For starters, do you have SDK tools setup on your Mac? Also, is your phone's bootloader unlocked?

Unlock the bootloader then fastboot twrp and your done
./fastboot flash recovery twrp twrp.img
Put twrp in your adb folder what should be on your desktop
Say your folder is called android type in CD Desktop/android in termal
Got it, thank you! Now with TWRP and no root, I can't do OTAs right?

Nope, you need stock recovery to take an OTA.

But saying that Google has just released a zip ota don't know if you can flash that in twrp and be OK
I mistakenly deleted my Nexus 6P internal memory with TWRP. Now my phone turns on and gets stuck at Google logo.
I am able to go to recovery mode but it reboots again and gets stuck at Google.
When I try to reboot it, it asks me "There is not OS, do you still want to reboot?"
I am able to go to CMD in Windows and when I try to unlock the bootloader, it gives my error "Remote: boot loader can't be unlocked".
Is there any way to install the OS from scratch even the bootloader is locked.
I am not able to access the internal memory of my phone on Windows computer and there is no TWRP on my phone anymore.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I would recommend looking at this guide, section 10 or 11. It will get you back to stock and from there you can start over with the TWRP, rooting, etc... Hopefully it'll at least get you back to a bootable OS and you'll have something to work with...
Thanks
Thanks buddy. I will try it
You won't be able to use those sections of my guide with a locked bootloader so don't bother. Check out section 13 though, that involves using adb sideload and the stock recovery to flash one of the full OTA zips.

Yeah I figured out that with locked boot loader, it doesn't work. I will try to see section 13.
Thanks for the tip.

What Linux distro are you using? And how did you install adb/fastboot on it?

I used a mac, sorry about that had a brain fart when typing that post. Installed using a guide on xda. tested it with a nexus 5x and worked fine.
found this info from this source
http://androiding.how/huawei-mate-8-nougat-root-twrp/
Thank you for the info; I was waiting for this.
Any idea where is the developer's thread or site; androiding.how didn't provide the link.
As far as I know this was for honor 8. @LastStandingDroid built for honor 8 nougat. It currently cannot flash SuperSU anyway
Thank you! I have just found LastStandingDriod thread.
I have tried this TWRP. You can boot into TWRP, touch is fine. But it cannot flash supersu into system. Got a reboot when I tried to do that.

thanks for the info.

can boot to recovery... but cant do anything else
Hello everyone,
I have installed fastboot and adb universally on my mac. Going through this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sThVB1wu7nc) will grant me a successful root or there are some complications I should be aware of ? like encryption or something with the latest OS?
Any help is appreciated. I have only one phone in the house for me right now, so cannot afford to brick it or not boot it.
Thanks
You should be fine. Flash twrp, flash magisk for root, that’s it...

Hey guys,
I have a 2nd Shield TV that id like to install twrp on and flash LineageOS.
For whatever reason when i go to boot twrp from fastboot it goes to the nvidia logo and hangs there, never moving.
All the drivers are installed (yes even the family drivers)
I've followed several guides to the T and still cant get it.
Can anyone help a nerd out? I'd appreciate it very much.
Thank you!
