Hey there,
I saw some users requesting for the Modem Files for XT1068 so here you go! If you accidently flashed the Modem files while updating to Lollipop using a different firmware, then these Modem Files will help you restore your Network signal.
The below zip file contains the modem files:
fsg.mbn
NON-HLOS.bin
If you already flashed the wrong modem files, just reboot to BootLoader and flash these files using the following commands:
Code:
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe reboot
Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9m4R-49mhLuTWlLUGJtUVpjY1E/view?usp=sharing
Hit Thanks! if I helped and do let me know if you need any other files from the following firmwares (I have these firmwares on my Drive and can upload individual files if necessary):
XT1063
XT1064
XT1068
That is modem firmware with all frequency bands enabled, yes? Are Motorola known to send outsome phones to retail without restricting them to regional bandings, or has someone inspected the binaries? ... Sorry for the noob question -- I'm just curious
No

Different models (XT1063/64/68/69) are all locked with regional bands. XT1068 is for Middle East & Asia, while 63 is UK, 64 is US and 69 is Brazil.
But it possible to recover signal of a different region by flashing the appropriate Modem files for that region, i.e, on a XT1064, flashing the XT1068 Modem files will allow you to use the US fw in MEA.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Can someone please tell me that for MFN.....we provide a single imei no. instead of 2 for xt1068 India?
Coz i have two Sims with different IMEI's
Yes

They ask for only 1 IMEI. :good:
SOURCE: Cause I registered for the MFN and they asked to enter any one IMEI.

Sure, the different model variants evidently have different bands enabled/disabled in firmware, but what is less clear is whether the modem firmware you posted is common to all retail XT1068 devices, regardless of the region/country in which they were sold.

XT1068 is also sold in Brazil which will have BR in the system version, these modem files are for the RETAILDSDSALL version only. Check your Settings->About page to identify your device.
Please delete! XT1068 has different firmware for Germany, India, Brazil and UK so flashing these files is bad of it does not match your firmware! People are posting stuff without realizing what they are doing! This is bad

Hello,
and thanks for this forum.
I have the same problem. I have a Moto G (2nd Generation) which I flashed with Titan Prime ROM for my XT1068. Everything is cool but no network.
I hang on that forum that treats the same problem with XT1092. I downloades the ZIP file and followed the instructions. But I have the same errors like "System stopped..". And I realised that I don't have the same version. With some Google I downloaded the corresponding version with that forum . Thanks guys!!!!
But I see that when downloading we have 4.4.4 (KitKat). But anyway I used it. Now it detects my SIM, displays the network name for each SIM, but always "no service" like I am in airplane mode.
Helps guys!!!!

Anyone know the difference between the retca (Canadian) xt1064 and the retus (american) xt 1064?
I'm in Canada and bought retus unlocked from eBay. I tried flashing the retca modem files and lost radio. Both xt1064.
AFAIK, the same bands are used in both USA and Canada.

I tried flashing them in fastboot mode after installing cm12.1 worked like charm......☺ both sims are working fine
xt1068 lost IMEI number,Base Band Number, network after Marshmallow update recentrly
I recently updated the Marshmallow 6.0 update and after that everything one xt1068 stopped working except Bluetooth. After that I tried lot of things like factory reset, cache format but nothing changed. Then I searched the forum and unlocked the boot loader and tried flashing kitkat to marshmallow again but with no output. My base band version is unknown my Imei number is null and my wifi is also not working. Please advise me if this is a hardware problem or is there any solution to this. I shall be obliged if somebody gives me step by step genuine solution.
PS. I sent it for moto g service dealer and after hearing the problem and handling my phone he said its a motherboard problem. Same problem happened to my friends Nokia windows phone last month and his problem was solved flashing the software..
Ok guys if you're like me and have unlocked your bootloader and installed a custom ROM coming from KitKat or below, you probably noticed no speakerphone capabilities.
Here's how to work around that:
First have adb and fastboot set up along with the Motorola drivers.
Here's what I did:
Download and extract bootloader.zip from the mega download link.
Put the phone in fastboot
Open command prompt/terminal
CD /adb (or whatever adb and fastboot are located)
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
Let it run then:
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
Let that run. And voila, speakerphone shall work.
Note: this may work on other variants who have installed a custom ROM coming from KitKat, just update gpt/motoboot/modem/fsg for your variant.
Attached are for the xt1050, they are from the xt1060 variant. Will not brick your phone. I'm speaking from personal experience.
For gpt and motoboot=> https://mega.nz/#!xAYSEDaB!vQ2jIUlQ17Rx1OyWK5VpFY--VfWxPuyDcl9Tj-j4LRk
For vzw modem=> https://mega.nz/#!0URBnJwK!bLYJI87ivbT5a8RLBxyQQWNEnvrXrVPavuPd3-hmWEA
The above modem will allow you to use a Verizon sim card that's already active if your current modem won't allow it as mine didn't but my other Moto x did, (vz will NOT activate the xt1050 x, I was told by a vzw CSR that it can be put on a postpaid account, I'm unsure)
Also if you use GSM on this phone, you would be getting Hspa data, I was told by a member on here(XDA) that I could flash the non-hlos.bin and fsg.mbn from either the xt1058 or xt1053 to get LTE on AT&T towers. I have not been able to do so successfully, sticks on H+. If anyone knows how, please let me know.
If any links are broken contact me at [email protected] add subject "xt1050 tips XDA"

Hi! I could really need some help over here!
I have a G5 Plus that i bought in Sweden, Europe. I unlocked bootloader, and flashed a ROM.
But now i´m going to sell it, so i need to reflash the stock image (ROM). Also i need to relock bootloader.
Can someone help me find the latest, working firmware, and also with the right commands to use with fastboot to do this?
Modell is: X1685.
Why would you need to relock the bootloader? I guess you will sell the device warning the person that it doesn't have warranty, right?
I was going to type this but then found this post....

Watch the Video which will help you to flash the firmware.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blYQ28DZJQk
Use FastBoot Command to flash the firmware (Backup you data as it would erase the internal Memory)
Fastboot command:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot

Be careful, it will flash the bootloader. If you have a newer version of the bootloader than th one you sumbitted, you will harfbrick your device.

If the stock ROM is older than what you have on your device, then the bootloaders usually prevent you from downgrading.
Hard bricks usually do not happen when you downgrade, they happen if you've downgraded and then take OTA updates (mismatches between the bootloader patch level and system patch level are a culprit). Best way to avoid this is to not downgrade.
At any rate, you cannot lock a bootloader with a build older than your existing stock firmware, regardless of custom ROMs flashed. You need a firmware of the same or newer build than your device stock firmware to relock. To the best of my knowledge, NPNS25.137-33-11 appears to be the newest or nearly newest firmware for EU devices. You can download from here https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto G5 Plus/Stock/ please confirm that this firmware is suitable before flashing.
You could try re-locking with other firmware, however NPN25.137-35 is for US devices, so would not likely receive OTA updates if flashed onto EU devices. As for warranty, the warranty isn't transferable as far as I know and as Motorola's got a record of the device being unlocked, the warranty is void. However, under EU consumer laws, you or the buyer could still get repairs if you're both resident in the territory. Would be wise to check this and let the buyer know.

There appears to be no fastboot flashable file for this version available anywhere on the internet. I've searched for days and had absolutely no luck!
Looks like both the OP and I are stuck on custom ROMs. Why Lenovo don't make these available I don't know...
If anyone knows of anywhere to get this please help us.
EDIT: Oh, also mine is XT1684 which I've seen virtually nothing about on XDA.

Mines a 1684, seems moto made 2 models for UK with same specs.
Regarding fastboot did you extract download zipped archive into fastboots folder.
When I say download follow the link above to firmware centre, if using phone to browse you need phone in landscape otherwise you cannot get name.

Thing is, there's no xt1684 version or retgb version. I fear it could be the wrong one, can't afford to replace phone so can't risk hard bricking it. Thanks though.
I am considering switching to Verizon and not sure if anyone’s successfully used Verizon on a Sprint 10, or even tried it.
I’m currently running stock Nougat, haven’t updated since July because HTC’s OTAs don’t play nice with TWRP last time I checked. Already manually unlocked my phone. Have not done SuperCID yet but will definitely do that before flashing anything.
Confused because AT&T and Tmo SIMs work fine and I get LTE instantly when I put them in - but when I put in a Verizon SIM (activated) I get nothing. I did enable Band 13 through cdmatool, and Verizon has Band 4 (which works fine with AT&T/Tmo) in my area, but no signal. This leads me to believe Sprint could have locked it on the stock rom, and enabling Verizon would be as simple as flashing leedroid or viper.
Or if that doesn’t work, I might have to RUU the latest Verizon update and hope for the best. And hopefully not completely brick my phone. Since I’m just testing at the moment, I want to be able to restore back to stock Sprint.
So the possibilities are: (after supercid)
1) flash leedroid or viper
2) select Sprint when installing
3) hope it was a lock on the Sprint rom and Verizon works
Or:
1) flash leedroid or viper
2) select Verizon when installing
Or:
1) erase modemst1 and modemst2
2) flash the Verizon radio over my current rom, no idea where to find a good .img for this
Or:
1) install the entire Verizon RUU
Any thoughts? Which method has the best chance of working? Can either of these brick my phone for good?
EDIT 1/26
Just tried wiping the radio, modemst1 and modemst2, and flashing the Verizon radio. Interestingly, sprint still works with this radio, though it may just be LTE that works. Verizon doesn't work, still thinks it's roaming just like on the sprint radio. So definitely a lock in the ROM.
Anyone wanting to try this - be aware that information such as unlock status are stored in the modemst partitions. So if you erase them, they will restore on the next reboot (anyone know what partition stores backups of these?) but if you manually unlocked your phone or added LTE bands with cdmatool, they will be restored to default.
Backup your radio partitions before doing anything:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p30 of=/sdcard/backup-radio.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p39 of=/sdcard/backup-modemst1.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p40 of=/sdcard/backup-modemst2.img
copy these to your computer.
To restore your sprint radios, boot to bootloader (not download mode) and:
Code:
fastboot flash radio "C:\path\to\files\backup-radio.img"
fastboot flash modemst1 "C:\path\to\files\backup-modemst1.img"
fastboot flash modemst2 "C:\path\to\files\backup-modemst2.img"
It might be possible to restore through dd, but it's extremely risky so use fastboot to do it.
