thats for network specific, not for unlocked ones...that image you show, i already go to that site and have 1 or 2 more v20i but none of them is for OPEN_EU unlocked, all of them are for network locked ones.
and maybe didnt have the february security patch, only january, since is specific for locked devices.
wait a little and maybe the v20i for unlocked EU appear.

isnt weird, different carriers have different letters in the firmware, like vodafone could do a v20d with december security patch, and orange could do a v20a with the same security patch, it depends from the carrier.
but is better to flash the OPEN_EU everytime cause the more advanced the letter is, the latest security patch is built in. Carrier wise isnt the same way...

Today I received a patch including security updates for the Factory Unlocked version, probably the Stagefright fix, but don't you think that's a lot just for a security fix? Google's patches were very small (less than 100MB) compared to that, anyone has additional information about this update?

Just checked for the update and my factory unlocked version M9 is currently downloading the file. Does seem like a large file size to simply contain "Android System Security Fixes".

Agree, fun fact? Or the fix released for OEMs and Google doesn't work at all or the app developed by Zimperium doesn't.
After I finished the update ran the app and guess what?
To be sure I deleted the app cache and data, and then after getting the same result uninstalled the app, restarted phone and installed the app once again, the result was the same.
Since I was curious I installed the app on my Nexus 10, which got the patch from Google and it also says is vulnerable.
Is there another reliable way to check it out?

I see the same result - first is vulnerable and the rest are not. Hmm. Don't know what to say or what else the update contained...
Was it all 7 before the patch?
7th exploit came later and wasn't part of Google's original patch.

The result was the same before and after the patch. There was a time when there was no patch at all and the Zimperium app detected the phone as not vulnerable, then they found an additional exploit and added it to the list, making the result appear as vulnerable. Then this patch came today, and we're at the same place, with that first one being marked as vulnerable.

The dev edition is the exact same hardware as the AT&T version and it has the name in its link URL... but they don't have the same software released. The World Wide Edition (WWE) and Dev edition share the same software.. the link I posted above is for those.
The AT&T RUU link is: http://dl3.htc.com.s3.amazonaws.com...01_72.02.50602A_F_release_446474_signed_2.exe
Latest for ATT is 2.6.502.18 with stage fright fix.
Also, for those that care, T-Mobile will be releasing their M9 stage fright update mid month.. it will also come with Android for Work.

The International model has been stuck on V20D for quite some time now. Seeing that new firmware is released for a lot of countries with updated security and stuff makes me think we'll get an update soon (crossed fingers!).
I'm getting tired of waiting. When I bought LG G4, I was hoping for regular updates for flagship phone. I have updated my phone on 3.3.2016 and there were no updates since then. It is still on v20d! Terrible support! Half of a year with 01-01 security update! Really safe and funny. These regionals updates are not smart and are not good. They should have push now firmware for everyone, not just for selected countries! I'm angry!
Why exactly we still didn't get 6.0.1? Are they planning to skip it and go straight to N?

Well considering how they ignored M they must release N even thought official support ends in August.
If they don't release N they must release latest available M 6.0.1 revision...
They are doing something but this is like one time a year and not a major updates, for flagship I think this is a joke if you compare it to how iPhones get updates...
P.S. I just checked that iPhone 5s which is even older than G4 have received latest iOS update long time ago really makes me wonder what is happening with android and OEMs...

You can't compare LG with Apple. You can compare Nexus phones with iPhones though. And you can see older phones getting new updates as well.
As for Android N, it'll be released officially this Fall, so OEMs have a lot of time to prepare for it. But LG has really had bad support all over the place.
Do you think there would be a problem if I updated my international device with this kdz?

I keep getting"unfortunately app updates have stopped" popping up all the time.. Other than that seems good.
Samsung has today started rolling out this month’s security patch to the International variant of both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in Europe.

In my experience, the only security patch that was delayed was last month's September security patch. We got that very late in September, the previous months' security updates were always released mid-month here in Denmark. And regardless of whether you think it's late or not, you can't deny the fact that Samsung is the best non-Google company to provide monthly security updates. Says a lot about Android updates, right?

Well we got the updates around these dates in the nordics:
11 march
9 april
10 may
16 june
18 july
20 september
So yes in the middle of the month, but we missed august. Also, they are late compared to googles patches. I don't know how samsung compares to other companies, however, I know that they are quite slow for major updates. Anyways, I'm hoping it will be released soon.

Sorry, I meant the security update. I know android n will come late. If and when it comes I hope it will be 7.1 as it will be released soon.
I have just bought a V20 from an Ebay seller.
It comes with Android 7.0 and it says that there are no newer versions to download.
However, my security patch level seems quite old being December last year.
The SW version details are as follows:
Android Version - 7.0
Android Security Patch Level - 1 December 2016
Kernel Version - 3.18.31
Build Number - NRD90M
Software Version - V10c-TWN-XX
Does anyone else in the UK with a V20 have more up to date software and if so how did you get it?

So do all TWN phones have a security patch from December 2016?
Do other variants of the phone have later patches?

Thanks for that.
I had seen that link but I had no idea if that would install a later version of software than I already have.
Just so I understand - why does my phone say that it is up-to-date if there is a later version of the firmware on LGs web site? (Where does the V20 check for firmware revisions?)
You're welcome. I was also supplied the link by another user, that's one of the great things about XDA and the members here.
Because a lot of us TWN variant owners don't live in the region the phone was released in we won't get OTA updates.
That's just how LG operates. I find it ridiculous that they release variants for different regions with different specs, hardware etc..
How do they come to the conclusion that the V20 will not be released in the UK and Europe?
People of some countries prefer 64GB but others will be happy with 32GB????
Wireless charging only for some?
Then there's the bootloader unlock farce........
This phone is really awesome and root would make it even more the perfect phone for me. But I knew what the situation was before I got it, and I'm still happy I own it.

Just so I understand - why does my phone say that it is up-to-date if there is a later version of the firmware on LGs web site? (Where does the V20 check for firmware revisions?)

Because the updated firmware is NOT meant for your branded TWN V20. It will work but you will not get any upcoming updates anymore. You will have to that maually.
Hi Pierre.
You're absolutely correct, but updating to where we are now is better than no update at all don't ya think?
And it's easy now to check for and install future updates :good:

Hi, you are absolutely right about that. And I think it's pretty safe to switch firmware. it's quite easy with LGUP. But maybe LG will surprise us the coming weeks with a fresh new TWN update
And a bootloader unlock too?
That would be awesome, I'm already missing all the stuff I was able to accomplish on my Z2.
H990DS can be flashed to same model firmware of other regions. My TWN H990ds had flashed to Philippines V10g and working without any problem , only two pop-up message after every system restart , but it didn't affect to any function..
Base on the hardware of H990ds is similar to H990n (HongKong) , I tried to flash to V10h(H990n) and it is working as well.
Both version's performance are better than TWN-V10c , i think it's worth to upgrade.
V10H-HongKong

Kernel Version is 4.1.18 from May 27 and security patch is from May 5.
Austria here, WiFi version, received BTV-W09C100B302 OTA - anyhow had the 302 version installed wie firmware updater before but this one seems a little newer
Also it started to install some apps I did not had so far (deezer, news republic etc) automatically. Removed them and all is fine.

Do you have/had some kind of custom version? See last line in About Tablet...

This is the current information.
As I said, before that I used the same version (dont know the custome version) but installed via huawai firmware updater
Thanks. What is interesting for me is that you have the same custom version. Because i read somewhere else that this custc100d002 version won't get an update. Ok, your update path seams to be not standard but there is still hope that i will get an update also...

My device also has version CUSTC100D002. Like I posted above, got it OTA.
I'm in germany and have no OTA Update until now.
Hello to everybody. I bought my M3 with LTE a month or two ago from Amazon DE however I live in Bulgaria(I use UK local settings for the tablet). I'm still at BTV-DL09C100B009 with which it came and I'm not getting any OTA updates. I keep it without SIM because my two cards are in my mobile phone and I don't need one for the tablet in everyday usage. I only use data-only SIM with it when I travel.
Anyway I moved one of my SIM's from my phone to the tablet in the hopes I would get the update and then return it back but still nothing. I even installed the latest HiSuite but even there it says I'm on the latest official build. Am I missing something? Why am I not getting the official update and is there a way to install it manually(FirmwareFinder perhaps? and how to differentiate it from the previous file with the same version)? Also from what version did you receive your updates when they came?
I would appreciate any help.
Best regards,
