Running beta 4. Stock. I am getting warp charge speeds when plugged in and phone on, but no blue lightning bolt icon, and status on lock screen just says charging. Not warp charging. However with phone off the battery charging icon switches to the blue lightning bolt. Any ideas???

At what mA should the Nexus 4 be charging?
With current widget, and the same charger, my phone charges at 200mA, my wife's at 600-700mA. This is using the USB wall charger from LG
I switch to a wall charger and mine goes to 400mA.
My phone charges so slow

It's normal. Mine charges slow as well.

With no background apps running, my Nexus 4 charges around 800mA until it reaches about 80%, when it starts to ramp down until battery is fully charged.
Thanks. It seems so weird that my wife and I have the same phone, same setup , and hers seems to charge twice as fast.
Mine is always 200mA and hers is 400mA, or when mine is 400mA, hers is ~700mA
I'm going back to complete unrooted stock. See what happens.
The only difference is my phone is newer than hers. Her phone was out of the original batch, mine is very recent. For example, hers is original, mine had the nipples at the bottom to prop it up for the speaker.

Went back to complete stock.
Wife's = 800mA
Mine = 400mA
Crazy

Stock charger sucks, sometimes charge goes as USB and not AC. I have to re-plug
normal. that's good things. almost all old android device charge very quick. sometimes 30mins for 86/100 battery
but the temerature is getting high either. so if you charge slow ,that 's a good things

It's true, stock charger generate a lot of issue imho. I swap to my old HTC desire charger and all fine now

try charging your phone when your battery is like ~10% or so.
Mine is very very slow, sometimes only added 1% after an hour of fast charging.
Though when i turn off fast charging on the phone, it charges normally (faster than when fast charging is switched on).
I'm using the Samsung original fast charger (the new tilted model) by the way.
Anyone experiencing the same problem? looks like a firmware issue?
Most times you have to reposition the phone until it says that it's actually fast wireless charging. Kinda Irritating. Also make sure the fast wireless option is turned on in the settings.

No such problems here. Drop it on the fast charger as it lands and away it goes in fast charger mode. Are you sure you have it enabled in settings......

What charger are you using? Are you verifying each time that it's actually fast charging?
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
I use a Samsung fast wireless charger. Now I also remember that if you don't have the Samsung one then go to your local store where they do have one and land your phone on it. I read that the fast charging wireless feature only starts working after you use a genuine Samsung fast wireless charger, but remains functional thereafter.
Yes it says fast charging and I can tell by the short time from empty to full charge (usually around 1.5 hours) approximately.

yes as mentioned i'm using the original samsung wireless fast charger, the latest model which it's at an angle so there won't be the problem of misplacement. and yes again fast charging is turned on, cables, adapter are all original stuff that came with the phone.......

S7 Edge (Exynos), using Samsung tilted wireless charger with phone original adapter / cable. Phone it's saying fast wireless charging, but is only fully charging in about 4.5 - 5 hours (starting from 10% or lower).
Tests from 45% took same, about 2.5-3 hours.
Charging by cable: about 1.5 to 2 hours. Also saying fast charging.
Samsung is waiting for me with phone and charger to test them in their shop.
Will keep you updated.
agreed, have noticed that it occasionally shows normal charging rate when in fact attached to a quick charge source... reboot/replug always seems to fix but I've learned to check each time I plug it in so that I don't come back in an hour to find it's barely moved

Fast charging by cable, normally takes ~100mins from 0-100% on S7 Edge. However, my S7E has the same problem as yours with mine charging at average 25% per hour with and without the wireless fast charge option checked.
just wondering how's everyone fast charge is, back when i had my note 7 it usually only takes an hr and 15mins for the phone to get fully charge, even in use. I'm currently using the stock charger and I'm not happy for it

Yeah....., did you plug it in and immediately take that screen shot? Are you using the stock cable with it? And lastly does it say fast charging in the notification bar?
Mine takes roughly an hour and a half to go from 20ish% to 100%

Your using the phone so the charge time hasn't adjusted. My Note 7 didn't charge in 1hr 15 min while I was using it.

My V20 charges crazy fast. There has been 2 times where It seemed to charge very slowly but I chalked it up to a likely bug or something. Other than those 2 times the device charges as it should, even when I'm using it providing the screen brightness isn't all the way up.

I will say if its charging slow make sure the usb end is plugged all the way in to the plug that goes in to the wall. I noticed this morning I was getting a slow charge and when looked at the connection it was not in all the way. Once I pushed it all the way in it started charging fast

As a v10 user I can tell you that sometimes (even using factory charger and cable) it doesn't go into fast charge.
Unplug it and plug it back in the lock screen should state "fast charging.." not just "charging.."

V20 doesn't charge as fast when using while charging. I am guessing that is a firmware thing or intentional to protect from heat, which I rarely notice.

that's understandable... back in note 7 it gets pretty hot but never exploded or smoked... but note 7 in use while playing a game will still charge the phone in 2hrs...
for me its a really big difference coming from note 7
thanks for everyone's input
using note 7 charger is actually a lil faster than the stock.... as far for my experience
I bought my wife the convertible charger and it says fast charging but for instance the phone is on 37% and it says 2 hours and 6 min to full charge. I plugged it into the wall at 37% and it says 1 hour 8 min. Any ideas? I will return if I can't fix it that is unacceptable

Wireless charging isn't as fast as wired.
Never ever will be.

First of all turn on Fast Wireless Charging. By default it's not on. You have to tap on the notification you get when charging starts. You are jumped to the charging settings and there you can activate it.
Second thing, Wireless charging is, as just said here, not as fast as wire in Fast Charging. Wireless Fast Charging should be something better then normal cable Charging (no Fast Charging).
Ok thanks. I returned it. I guess if that's the case I don't like wireless charging. And 90 bucks for something that's not fast charging sucks balls. Luckily I was on the 10th day of my 14 day trial

i looked like crazy but when i start charging, wireless or wired , when i tap charge, i choos advanced there i can only choose fast charge using cable
any ideas?
Here's a random observation I've noticed: I have a 8T that I bought so that my parent can take my 7T. I'm using the 7T charger because I'm waiting for a 6ft warp charge capable cable to arrive from Amazon. Using the 7T charger and a 6ft warp charge cable, the 8T charges at around 360 mA as shown by Ampere. It's crazy because the icon at the top right and the lockscreen shows the warp charge lightning logo but it's charging at a snails pace. You'd think that the 30W 7T charging block could at least charge the 8T at a slower warp charge speed but for some reason it's charging far below capability, almost like charging from a laptop port. In comparison, the 8T block using the stock cable charges around 2230 mA.
