ROM search - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hi, as there seems to be no ROM guide to those devices, I'd like a to have a few recommendations for the A5 2016. I am looking for a ROM that is fast and - most importantly - stable. Android 8 would be preferred, Nougat would be okay too. That's pretty much all I care about on this device, I do not need lots of customization options here.
Thanks in advance
Colin

Can someone modify resurrection remix for SM-A700FD so I can Install it on my A700H?

Please... I recently updated to marshmallow and it's buggy and a bit slow and I'm completely infuriated about the fact that I couldn't find ROMs for my model (I know it's not popular but I thought someone might already have done it). I'm learning how to program but I'm still not advanced enough to be able to modify a ROM. It should be relatively easy though bc SM-A700FD & SM-A700H share the same processer! They only differ that the first supports LTE while the second 3G (they both have two sim slots). Thanks for anyone who will help me! I own the 2015 A7 btw. If you can help me find a ROM for my device I'll be grateful! Doesn't have to be resurrection I just want a stable stock build with useful features.

Rom for my old Samsung Galaxy s3 i9300

Hey!
I just picked up my old S3 from my drawer becouse i needed a backup phone, but the big problem is the phone is out of date so cant download any of the "daily using" apps.
It is android 4.3, i like how everything look like, but its basically not useble in 2020 becouse lack of apps and everything. Are there any rom that is good enough, that are kinda simular to 4.3, atleast by the looks of it, that are still supported that this phone can use?
Sorry if here already are threads about it, but im new to this, and it would be fun to learn
In my opinion, the only fully working custom ROM for S3, which have latest (security) updates, is LineageOS 14.1 (nougat 7.1.2). At the moment, it's maintained by orgert. Look for his links here (last page) :

Official update soon
Stock Android 9 ROM for now.
I would like to switch to an Android 11 Custom ROM, but since it's my daily driver phone, I wouldn't encounter bugs or problems with banking apps or camera.
Any suggestion for Pixel-like ROM so much stable to use it everyday?
The goal is to make the best use of the phone's hardware features, as well as being up-to-date, you will never go back to the phone's ROM stock once you try it. I suggest you use one of the ROMs

Thanks for making this thread. This should be the most important topic on this forum because Mi a2 stock rom is really bad due to last updates.I thought the result will be very helpful. The results make me even more confused now.As I see LineageOS has troubles with gcam modes and Pixel Experience is discontinued.I'm trying to find the most secured and stable ROM for my device with a working Gcam(the_dise) and banking apps.So which one is the actual winner?

In fact none of them, I think Lineageos and unuficial Pixel Experience are suitable for everyday use
Of course, it is mentioned that some features do not exist, such as the Gcam 5 and Twrp
Pixel-based ROMs are also not very stable and have problems
I suggest you try these two; PPUI and Pixel extended
A good Android 10 ROM is undoubtedly Paranoid5

What are the differences between PixelPlusUI and Pixel Extended?I don't really care about extra features. All I want is a secure and reliable OS with working GCam.I don't find any comparisons between these 2 ROMS.Which one of them you like more and why?

It's quite tasteful, you better try these
PixelPlusUI ROM has many features and settings, good customization capabilities and good Maintainer
Pixel experince ROM fairly closed but stable

Lenovo Rab 4 8 Plus (TB8704F / X / V)- Attempting to build LineageOS 18.1

The title. Basically: I'm looking to try and build for this device (I have TB8704F), and potentially start official support. Figure I'm better off starting with what I have and working my way up to other devices I want to try and build for.
Are there any hardware quirks of this device I should be aware of? I've heard of the fingerprint reader being a problem, is it a significant one? And other general issues in development I need to be aware of?
Also can someone link a TWRP /OrangeFox version that can support android 11, the TWRP / OrangeFox build guide is just confusing to me.
Looking forward to it very much

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Did you ever get LOS 18.1 working for the Lenovo TB-8704V

what would be for you the most stable rom for daily use?

I recently rooted the phone, but I don't know what rom to use, I just need a stable one for daily use, I'm not a gamer, I prefer to use it for multimedia
For daily use, i have been using los 16 (9.0). Never crashed on me.
I tried all sorts of roms.
In my experience all android 12 roms for tissot work great but the phone is not powerful enough for android 12. I get lag spikes and such while using the phone normally not even playing a game.
Idle memory usage is around 3gb.
But you probably want a "custom rom" feeling. So los is not gonna cut it.
Go for corvus os android 10. I have the official build of corvus os 7.5 OMEN. If you want i can give it to you and you can check the checksum if they exist.
Thanks for answering, I'm not that expert in this rom thing, I put one from android 12 and it's somewhat unstable, which one are you using?

I need rom that's stable and with good battery for my mother. She just uses her phone for video calls.
Which rom would you recommend and that has fairly good support? Rom does not have to be updated much ofter, occasionally would be enough.
