Hi people!
I am wondering if anyone has noticed any extra battery consumption whilst having the screen on adaptive display setting?
Thanks!

You mean ambient display?
Not quite. There's a display setting among RGB, default, etc. Pretty much changes the colouring of the screen, and it's called Adaptive Display Setting.

I don't think it consumes any battery, but if it does, I don't think it would be noticeable. Just a guess though.

You could check out Light Manager, which kind of works, but it seems no LED notification app really works properly with the always on display at the moment.

I check it and install it and test it but no luck... it kind of works but no good led colours are showing and only few one works. Also it allows to have only 20 apps configured.
I will keep on searching

The XLED module for Xposed is old but it still works. Ultimate Notification Control in GravityBox should work too, though I haven't tested it.
My S8 experience laggy while pulling down the notification bar when the battery saving mode is on. Is this normal? Do anyone experience this too?
I solved all my sttutering and lag problems of the s8 turning back to 1080p screen res

i always set my screen res tp 1080p but the laggy problem still exist
I don't have any lag problems.. do you use bixby remap app? That causes lag

i use to use it but i have uninstall it. but still can see the laggy.
Store applications are not very good, and I think many would like to have this functionality.
If anyone offers it we would be delighted

If you are using blue light filter apps that has those orange tint to prevent image retention.
Use Night Screen by Paper Airplane dev team instead.
No ads.
Switch to Overlay System Mode (it also apply the filter to the navigation bar buttons) and set the slider to 80-95. And the screen looks normal without the orange tint, only slightly darker.
I had to set it to 80 because my screen has image retention really quickly.
Only downside is when using some stock apps or apps that has white themes. Your status bar nor navigation bar will not switch the font color to black.

I moved from sFilter because it didn't cover the navigation bar.
Night Screen covers it in the Overlay system mode. Makes the screen "retention proof"

Witch retention proof? I only see retention in normal use.
