Mostly noticeable while scrolling fast through a feed on facebook, instagram, twitter etc. everything gets very blurry when scrolling fast.
The Redmi Note 5 has very hard blur effect, apprently the Redmi Note 5 display has very bad grey to grey response times according to notebookcheck.com. thats why I am asking...

Does anyone use a Note 2 prior to Note 3?
I'm interested in the quality of Note 3's camera relative to the Note 2. I've seen reviews saying that for outdoor pictures, the Note 3 quality is very good. But indoor is OK at best. To me the Note 2 camera has sufficient quality for my use both indoor and outdoor. So I'm interested in how the Note 3 camera performs when compared to Note 2's.
Thanks in advance.

From the various reviews I've seen, the camera on the Note 3 is only bested by the Note 2 in low lighting situations. The Note 2 had a "night mode" which helped in low light. The Note 3 does not have this mode and the reviewers say it suffers because of it. However the PhoneArena review suggested to turn on Stabilization in low light which helped the Note 3 achieve better pictures under those conditions.
I have both phones and the Note3 camera is the better one in all conditions Sharper with more details and more natural colors

Glad to hear that there's good things about the real world usage of the Note 3.
Now,...I'm just hungry.
Here you go, Note 3 v/s Note 2
Note 3
Note II

Not much of a difference.

Note 3 color is much constant and vibrant and sharpen, but it is just a slightly.
The important point here is Note 3 camera focus speedy fast, I can much more easier capturing compare with Note II.
The low light capability of the Note 3 camera is much worse then Note 2. I hope that a camera FW update will fix this. But I think that it is more of a sensor thing. ..?

I read a review that unlike the Note 2, a feature has been taken out from Note 3. As a result, it is not as good as the Note 2 in terms of taking photos in the dark. Is this really true? How bad it is?

Hello
I would like to have Incoming call display on Edge screen like i did on the Note Edge on side
I really Miss that
It is better than the full screen or top bar kind answering calls

What all would you like on S8 Plus & Note 8
I remember in the (I think) the S7, the edge display was used like a ticker that showed incoming calls, text messages, and so on. I could be wrong, but that would be great if that could be programmed in the S8/S8+

Just saw some videos, 6.4", 6gb & 256GB, exact specs as the MI MIX and hopefully those specs stay true.
Would love to hold out but too excited about the S8 plus. I should get good resale on it for when the Note comes out
I've cancelled my Bootloader locked T-Mobile order and will wait & see what the international variants have to offer. Or the Note 8 or Pixel XXL....
Unlocked bootloader...Done!
can it do vr?
Yes it can. I have it but keep in mind that the VR experience is not that great. Fps tend to drop and it does not seem fluent at times. Also, the screen has a laggy feel because it uses a ips lcd. The xiaomi redmi note 4x was way better at vr but the miui os is absolutely buggy and I had to change it for this p10 lite.

ok thanks...Im getting one tomorrow and i just wanted to know...???
No problem.
I don't think its a good idea for you to use this phone for VR. The Display is 1080p - that means that if you go into VR mode there will be 2 pictures displayed in half the quality (each eye will see the picture on its half the display so 2x 540p)
The ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019) has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm really curious as to the screen quality. I realise its gonna be different from an AMOLED panel that I'm used to, but all the other specs are so appealing!!

Asus zenfone 6 , Honor 20 pro , Oneplus 7 pro camera test side by side .
OnePlus 7 vs 7 Pro / Zenfone 6 / Pixel 3a XL / Mi 9 Battery Life DRAIN Test.
Between these two videos you should get a decent idea of the display compared to other led displays .

I think the zenphone looks a shade darker than the other led display due to its ips
I can confirm that there is a noticeable difference to a AMOLED display (coming from the Lenovo P2) and a side by side comparison clearly shows a better contrast in the Lenovo. But I also have to say that I only noticed that after a couple of hours with the Asus when checking back on the Lenovo. The display of the Asus is good and also in the dark not too bright.

Off topic but damn I loved that phone, really sad when I cracked the screen.
hi, i am using zenfone 6(2019) with latest update installed. the videos on the social media (twitter, fb, instagram) plays pixelated and in poor quality.
how can i fix this?
i think it's the same problem mentioned in android issuetracker: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/124593215
I'm having same problem. Did you find fix to that? I fear that we need to wait for update. Twitch video quality is poor too. @megamefta
Apparently the max brightness the phone can go is application dependent, in Chrome it's 600 nits and in photos or its 550 or something. Can we expect a mod or anything to make it even that is 600 across everything in the future?

Double post.
Does anyone actually own this phone here?
How is the display in the real world . ALOT of folks on youtube are saying its pretty dark . I want to get it and understand its not oled but I dont want a dark display .
Yes sir, i own it. [emoji23] From left to right- P30 Pro, Zenfone 6, P20 Pro, i was outside under the tree, max brightness.
In general: for me the display is very good, just needs to be a bit more brighter.
PS: unfortunately this picture was shot by Galaxy A5 2015 [emoji16]
I'm coming from a OnePlus 3 and haven't compared to other recent phones, but I'm impressed with this display. It can get bright enough, at least for my usage, and even though blacks aren't as black as an AMOLED display, they're still black and not what you see on some cheap displays. Is a <Samsung-flagship> display better? Yeah, but the price is also higher than the ZF6.
The only setting I had to change was the colour mode. The two pre-defined options are "wide color gamut" (used by default) and "standard", which is more like sRGB. This is completely personal preference, for me "standard" looks more what I'd expect to see, not super vibrant colours that almost look fake. Anyway, it can be changed so it's not really a problem.
I didn't use the "always on" feature on my OP3 in order to save battery, but I can see users that liked that feature missing it on this phone.
