I've got a T-Mobile 6T, and I messed up. First, I installed TWRP and that went well, then I tried to install Resurrection Remix.
I wiped all of the partitions except Vendor because thats what I used to do on my OnePlus 3T, but this time whenever I would try to flash Resurrection Remix, it would give me an error. I tried and tried to fix it, and then I went to reboot into the recovery through TWRP to see if that would fix it, it just booted into the bootloader. Now I'm stuck in the bootloader, and I'm not sure what to do.
I've got no ROM installed, and no Recovery installed(I assume because I can't boot into it), and I can't get the MSMDownloadTool to detect my phone. Thanks.

Turn off phone completely, hold volume down (or up and down, can't remember) and plug in phone to PC. MSMTool should recognize your phone now.
To get the phone to turn on and enter Qualcomm 9008 mode, turn the phone completely off, hold down both Volume Up and Down, then connect the phone directly into the PC without pressing the power button. If MSM does not recognize the device, reinstall the drivers. If that fails, make sure you are connected to a USB 2.0 port, not a 3.0.
Since you can access the bootloader, just flash a fastboot rom. Allow it to flash completely and reboot. Use the flash_all_partitions file.

Just fastboot boot twrp and flash full rom zip or restore a backup if you have one.

Or you can use the fail safe MSM download tool.

So I took the OTA for MM and everything seemed fine. I noticed that if I tried to go into recovery my device would just restart. I flashed the recovery image but the same thing happened. After I tried to flash the recovery file, ADB did not recoginize my device anymore. I flashed TWRP to see if that would work. From the bootloader ADB did not recognize my device but if I went into TWRP my device showed up. I did not install SuperSU from TWRP but when I rebooted I was in a bootloop. So I used the restore to stock tool to reset everything. It flashed fine but failed on the radio file. Now I can't set it up because it hangs at the WiFi screen, ADB does not recognize the device for me to flash again, and I can't figure out how to fix this.

Are you using the new SuperSU beta? The play store / alpha version of supersu is not compatible with MM. I suggest more reading, specifically this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133/page425
Also, because you did not fastboot flash the LP modem after returning to stock, your radio/wifi will not work. It's not an issue with the phone, but rather user-error. Fortunatally, it is a simple matter of getting you working again.
My advice is: Flash the stock unrooted MM TWRP backup (you should already be on the MM modem) and you should be able to start over. Just be sure to use the appropriate supersu beta, and DO NOT modify the boot image.
Hi guys
SO Ive tried a number of things.
Im currently stock in recovery or fastboot.
It happened after I applied a substratum theme on 8.1 Resurrection Remix and I restarted the phone because it froze on applying the theme.
No mater what I do I always end up in recovery.
Things tried so far:
Everything besides ext. Sd wiped numerous times before and after reinstall.
Full restore including everything (bootloader, recovery, cache, all the restore options you can use in TWRP aka the full monty. based on Fulmics 4.2 ive used to restore beforehand)
Full reinstall of Resurrection Remix
Full reinstall of Fulmics
Reinstall of TWRP
Reinstall of MElina TWRP
Each and every reinstall and restore takes me promptly to TWRP just after the LG logo..
My question is, how do I fix this?
I have full access to both fastboot and recovery
Lgup and uppercut clean flash
Thanks do you know how I get Windows 10 to detect it as a LG handset not just ADB or Bootloader interface? LG USB drivers are installed.
It does recognize it as portable device. (probably MTP mode as I have full access to)
Edit 2: I discovered as soon as I plug in USB on the PC the phone boots up and into TWRP even if I've turned it off prior to that
So I thought locking the bootlooker was a good idea.. Apprently not as I now can't get past "Your device is corrupt" screen.
I can almost boot into bootloader until the last confirmation "delete userdata screen" after where it goes back to "your device is corrept" screen..
Can get into iMEI display screen - Never seen that one before
Power off your phone and when the screen turns black press and hold vol up and plug in your usb cable. Your pc must find your G6. Then download a stock rom and flash it with lgup and uppercut.

You're a godsent!!
Alright so, I've managed to uppercut down to 13a from 1ca, unlock the bootloader, install twrp. Never installed supersu, but when the phone booted to twrp I installed the magisk zip with no errors. After booting the magisk manager never showed up as installed. Installed it manually, ran it, said magisk was not installed and device fails safetynet and pts. Downloaded the latest stable magisk, booted into twrp and tried flashing it AGAIN. This time I get an error that it can't flash it. I'm totally lost here. This is all I lack to have systemless root here. Also I can't seem to boot into recovery via button presses. I keep getting the pink triangle and despite holding vol+ and power, the device just boots normally. I have to force recovery via adb on pc.
Any ideas?
Bueller?

It's his day off
Sent from my LG-H910 using XDA Labs
I kinda ran into a issue with magisk not installing properly and how I got around it was to get your roms boot image file and make a zip of it. Then, go to twrp and flash the boot image, then flash magisk.

You installed the magisk zip and the magisk manager apk? Did you try flashing the rom and installing masik and the apk again?
For some reason on the lg phones it won't boot directly to twrp. when you boot to recovery and it ask if you want to reset, select yes. If you have twrp installed, it will then boot into recovery.
I have not since my bootloader is unlocked I heard u can't go back to stock on the vs995

Nothing i suggested requires stock.
With the phone off
press and hold volume down
press the power button and hold until you see the lg logo
while holding the volume down, release only the power button and press it again and hold
if you did it correctly, you should be in recovery
it will ask if you are sure if you want to reset your phone a few times
select yes, and yes
If you have twrp installed it should boot up in twrp
Or
If you already have the bootloader unlocked, make sure that developer options are enabled
go and enable adb debugging
connect usb cable
use adb to boot into fastboot
use fastboot to boot into twrp
From twrp you can flash the rom zip, magisk zip, and then install the apk after the phone rom boots up
which rom are you using? which magisk zip? which magiskmanager.apk?
My device is stuck at fastboot, I messed up bad. I had a backup from OOS from 9.0.6, I upgraded to 9.0.10, I flashed TWRP installer and Magisk, then the phone would boot up to the lock screen but immediately say powering off. So I tried restoring the device and then I got an error. Now it can only boot to fastboot mode and is only recognized as a fastboot device by my computer. Any one know how to help?
Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-6t-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-oos-9-0-5-t3867448

Double posting isn't the most surefire way to get help here, just wanna point that out.
I love you
I was stuck and my phone didnt turn off tank you so mutch
I got my Mi A1 today and it came with Android 7 installed, so I decided to install LOS. I unlocked the bootloader and then I booted into TWRP using fastboot (I didn't flash it), it gave that "system is read-only" warning. I tried to reboot to system without doing anything and it was stuck in a boot loop. Then I booted into TWRP again and flashed LOS sucessfully. When I tried to flash gapps, however, it failed claiming I was still running Android 7. I rebooted and it booted sucessfully into LOS, but that was the last time the phone ever booted. Now it shows the unlocked bootloader message and then gets stuck in a blinking black screen. I can't even boot into recovery or fastboot anymore.

It seems you will have to flash stock ROM using Mi Flash (no idea how to use it so search it) and, once is done, flash LOS again.

I somehow managed to get to fastboot and then I used MiFlash to flash the stock rom. I'm back to the bootloop, which is an improvement, because at least I can consistently get into recovery and fastboot.
The phone got stuck in that black screen after I tried to flash LOS, should I actually do it again?
EDIT: I flashed the stock rom a second time and it's working again. I don't know why, but I'll take it.
