HW Upgrade options for Joying MTCD rk3188 5.1.1 1024x600

Hi,
I have a Joying HU
Code:
Model number: 2818H-5.1 J0623 (1024x600 W) (this number actually changes depending on MCU fw version)
CPU: ARM Cortex-A9 @ 1.6GHz (x4)
Memory: 1024 MB
MCU: MTCD_JY_V2.06_2
Build number: rk3188-userdebug 21122016
with Malaysk [rk3188] ROM installed.
Now, I am a bit confused about hw differences between "rk3188" and "PX3" ROMs: is the same thing or not?
Second question: is it possible to replace the existing rk3188 SOM with PX5? (E.g. the one sold by Witson for cca 100 USD.) It is not clear to me if the SOM is vendor dependent or not.

Root / ROM options for ALPS 8227L HIFI 2G+32G emulated Android 11

I am getting so confused looking at the various options here and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Basic info:
Model: D02022HA16 / 8227L (HiFi version)
Specs: 32GB ROM / 2GB RAM
Android: 11.0 (system reported), 10.0 (AIDA64 reported)
It's tagged as the brand CAMECHO on Amazon, but it wasn't from the Camecho seller. It has some PODOFO apps included. The ZLink app that drives Android Auto is garbage, but I bought HeadUnit Reloaded and it's pretty smooth. The FM radio is borderline useless; stations that my old ATOTO unit picked up without issue are "poppy" in the native tuner app.
Overall, the software is kind of janky and so I'm looking for ROMs I can replace it with. I feel like most of the threads on here are specifying YT9216xx, but I can't find any reference to that anywhere in the system. It looks like Android 8 API27 SUPERMOD for YT9216BF YT9216CFJ YT9216BJ YT9216BFJ YT9216CJ by @ExtremeMOD would work, but I can't figure out a way to verify it before trying (and don't want to brick it.
Any help in figuring out what I'm working with would be appreciated! More detailed information about the unit is below. Thanks in advance!

Followed steps in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rp-custom-ui-brick-recovery-and-more.4318121/
Replaced Step 1 firmware with https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?sho...&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp#entry115168364
Step 2 TWRP was 1GB version.
Radio Patch was not needed.
Works perfectly!
