Volte working ?
What's up with Google assistant not hearing me when I talk? It was the same in your other Rom Havoc OS.
Hello! Does your build support substratum engine? I mean, rootless mode.

No volte until that outgoing call screen bug is fixed.

Of course, all ROMs built by me are built with same trees, so same bugs will exist in all ROMs built by me.
As I said in other thread, can't help with audio issues until xiaomi releases Oreo kernel source.

Then how come you're the only developer releasing "so called" stable ROMs for Rosy that have this problem. Every single other ROM I've run, the Google assistant works fine?
In fairness you shouldn't release something as stable if something as integral as Google assistant doesn't work. You're doing yourself and the users no favours.
---------- Post added at 08:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:00 PM ----------
Plus there should be mention of the ROMs downfalls and bugs so we know this up front instead of flashing a poorly built ROM and ending up having the entire data partition encrypted on us so we have to format data in twrp and lose everything stored on the internal storage, and before you ask, yes I was using your twrp build with the latest firmware.
It's just poor form man, seriously. Causing this kind of trouble for an end user is a ****ty thing to do to someone.

Stable means the stability if a ROM. Google assistant is a feature. If it works fine with other ROMs then why don't you just use those ROMs.
This ROM doesn't encrypt the data partition. None of the testers faced this issue.
And I guess you forgot to read the disclaimer in the OP.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Nowdays open-source community only has beggars complaining.
Which END-USER do you mean ? This isn't a MSFT Corp disclaimer. You are mistaken. This is a ROM without gapps.
STABLE isn't even a thing if a bug for one guy in other ROMs for example don't have a,b,c completely backed in. You can't use Google assistant and it is not stable, for YOU.
We have no SOURCE code, yet you get to experience Pie ROM AOSP-way. be thankful, report just "Hey, I have noticed this doesn't work, can I help with logs, I really need this" and maybe you get better treatment. Try it sometime.
What a mess.
I really wish some moderation clears up the thread.

That's what I'm asking dude, since the ROM doesn't has volte, and the carrier which i use only supports volte and no other band like 3G so if I flash this rom, I will be able to make calls or not??

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
- Flash the latest version of this ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below
- Reboot and ENJOY!!
**If you fail to follow these instructions, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use Xposed, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use another kernel, please don't bother reporting any bugs**

nice to see more development, thanks dev
Really nice room for initial release. Some annoying bugs that I found are
- messaging app disappeared after some time
- can't make outgoing calls (temporally solved by rebooting)
- can't change system themes (substratum also won't work).
On the other hand room is absolutely gorgeous, battery backup just fine, super fast and smooth.
Can't wait next update which will hopefully fix bugs.
Thank you
Edit
All this fixed with v35 firmware.
smooth, kinda drainy i dunno? probably my battery fcked up or i havent calibrate it yet. anyway its a cool rom, flashed 2 hours ago, havent faced any bug yet
Nice
Fantastic performance with Xprise kernel
Really Nice ROM
Great ROM and DU is my fav ROM
Please add feature quick setting to edit status bar toggle line if it possible :fingers-crossed:
I need to say (after using this room for 2 days) that this is probably best oreo room for santoni (and I tried them all). Everything just works, no glitches, no need for custom kernel.
Everyone need to try this and believe me you'll wish to stay here forever. I'm really thankful for this room. Great work once more.

I'm using 30 march update so I'd go with yes. As far as I know this is the initial build, I don't know anything about frequency of updates. DU have new features and bug fixes at weakly basis so I hope developer will follow their policy for nightlies.

Any bugs known?
Thanks for the ROM and Kernel, Soura. Btw is there any way to fix the adaptive brightness bug? I can't seem to turn it off.
*UPDATE:
I fixed it by restoring my vendor partition backup from 33bca's v2 Treble. Currently still on LiquidRemix now. Thanks for putting inside the InfinityKernel as base kernel for LiquidRemix. I'll be rooting for your updates.

GAPPS: DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your kuntao, or coming from another ROM: <--THESE MAY NEED UPDATING FOR YOUR PARTICULAR DEVICE; BE THOROUGH IN INSTRUCTIONS-->
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip <--& vendor img, if applicable--> to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

If you flashed lineage os 16.0 and want to flash this rom then you are not required to decrypt you can flash this ROM directly but you are flashing this coming from any Oreo ROM then maybe decryption required.
Video recording fixed on stock camera and 3rd party apps like WhatsApp etc but will not work in apps like gcam, footej
Just one question does bluetooth calling works in this rom or not

I had a problem with installing magisk too. It was fixed when I switched my twrp version to this one: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528044694
I also had the problem of immediately shutting down after encryption. It was solved by switching my screen lock to "Swipe" and then encrypting.
Hope it helps.

AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customizations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended
#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. -Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Yes, full Substratum support!
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

FAQ
1) Will there be regular updates?
Atleast once/month, usually after aosp security patch is merged.
Apart from that, Ill release a new build in case of major bugs that breaks the ROM to be used as daily driver.
2) When will you fix VoLTE?
After xiaomi releases miui pie stable for redmi 5.
On a serious note, I don't have volte only sim, so I have no idea.
Fixed.
3) Reporting bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if
• if you didn't perform a clean install.
• if you're running a custom kernel.
• if you've installed Xposed.
• if you're using battery/thermal mods.
4) How to report bugs?
• Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
• Mention what custom stuffs you've installed in the rom, like Magisk modules, etc.
• If the problem disappears after disabling selinux, disable SELinux and grab logs using SysLog app.
• If its a random reboot, grab dmesg. [Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless.]
5) Disabling SELinux
Needs root. You can disable SELinux via the following options.
• SELinux Mode Inverter Magisk module
• SELinuxModeChanger App
• Terminal Emulator App
To disable SELinux using a terminal emulator, run the following commands
Code:
> su
> setenforce 0
6) Taking Logs
Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.
• Using adb
• Using MatLog app
• Using SysLog app for audit logs
7) When official?
Probably never. So, please don't spam me for official. :crying:
We're Official.
Kudos to the new project but can u make it official?

Wow, the ROM flies!!
Thanks man!
Absolutely phenomenal ROM.
Correct without ugly rounded corners, fully loaded customization, but the speed... It is incredible!
I hope you didn't boost the clocks or something, plus I want to test battery but this thing FLIES!!
Thanks again.
Thanks to AEX team and whoever is involved in sources!
Thanks all for opensourcing.
Fantastic ROM
Volte works
Is there any way to fix the IR?
It does not work, maybe it's something from SE Linux

Yes.
I've dropped cardinal caf as I don't have enough time to maintain multiple ROMs. AEX worked better out of the two, so ill be maintaining just AEX from now on.

Daisy = MI A2 Lite.
Miui global beta = rosy.
Volte, some say that it's working, but some say that it doesn't work.
Please check OP for all details.
Sir, I'm using your wow kernel (14 jan build i guess) from sometime. Lemme tell you it's great.
I tried your aex rom yesterday. Volte doesn't work. So i moved on. Please fix it asap. Otherwise it's great.
And if possible, make selinux enforcing. I know it's gonna take a lot time. So I'm waiting.

Hi everyone, I wanted to know about a few things:
-- Does this ROM support signature spoofing? I intend to use MicroG, if possible.
Edit: Yes, it supports signature spoofing and therefore MicroG.
-- Are these new changes available via OTA updates or subsequent update packages? Or we have to do a clean install every time?
Edit: Will wait and see. (Probably yes, as per one of the screenshots shared)
Thanks.
Hi, I have a question, does this rom have camera2api?
After a week of usage i can tell its a good ROM, only issue i have found is that during testing different themes and changing stuff around setting app have crashed multiple times, but you can easily just relaunch it and keep going. I would also like to request adding compass "tile" in drop down menu, thank you Pranav Temkar.
Hello, i would like to install this rom. i followed your "tutorial steps" but from twrp or orange fox i got the same error while flash "invalid zip file format". i used the 2022 07 18 build.
