Hi guys, with the release of the Lollipop factory image for our Nexus 4 I tought that even the new camera features like manual focus would work; Sadly they don't.
Now the question is: "Is it possible to modify the camera drivers (or I don't know what else) in order to obtain full access to all the features or it is impossible?"

You're ignorant.
First of all search, then complain. Camera won't be updated instantly.
Try this and see if it works: https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera

I have a OnePlus One and i've installed CM12 unofficial, so i want to try if the new API's work here. I followed that procedure many and many times but i can't download it, i'm trying to download the beta from a mont so far! It results that i'm a developer but then it redirects me to the official page of Camera FV-5 and it says that there is no update. So i can download the "normal" version (because i've bought it), but i can't download the beta (and i have Lollipop, so it should install!). Thank you
Hey guys,
I have a problem. I try to install the HDR on my A1. I use this video as a basis.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OozhQNhHqTQ&t=221s
The problem is that my device gets stuck every time TWRP starts and does not reboot by itself. As soon as I restart the phone, a message appears and I end up in the bootloop.
I had version 7.12 on it. Oreo 8.0 is currently installed.
What's the problem?
Would be nice if you could help me out.
Thanks

Install April global rom using MI flash tool
And install g cam with gcam installer from xda
And then you can update your device without any issues with Google camera still installed

If you do it by adb tools
You don't need to flash any old version of stock rom
https://youtu.be/mSIWjj-ykh4 go to this link and you can install g cam without any data loss
Is the pixel 3 camera app which is available on XDA working with any of our device. I am on a custom ROM and the camera app launches and never starts.
Same here, I can download and install it but it crashes on startup.
EDIT: I am on LoS 16
Arnova has made gcam 6.1 port, i downloaded it few minutes ago but it Is not working for me...
Can not install it at all...
I' m on stock rom with c2api enabled.
Just getting this message.

Oh sorry got excited. Fixed. Pie! Pie! Pie!
Any1 managed to use google camera to latest pie miui?
Downloaded it, now how do I flash it please ?
Is it safe to update from 10.2.1.0 (global stable)??
Any risk of ARB?
From 10.2.1.0 (global stable) --- flash via fastboot latest 8.12.13 global beta (nitrogen_global_images_8.12.13_20181213.0000.00_8.1_global_08181e2b35.tgz) --- upgrade via OTA to global beta 9.1.10
This steps are safe to do?
Very unstable, flashed back 10.2 stable after a few hours, don't bother
main bug i have is i cannot use mobile data with vodafone in the uk apns are missing

So the problem its not only to me..
Looks like my first post is suprisingly a helpful post
After tons of reading here I looked in another forum about this and managed to fix Camera 2 API
I manually added this in build.prop using Solid Explorer text editor. For the sake of uniformity, put a blank line and add these lines
Code:
# Enable Camera2 API
"persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1"
"persist.camera.eis.enable=1"
"persist.camera.is_mode=4"
"persist.camera.stats.test=5"
"persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1"
"persist.vendor.camera.eis.enable=1"
"persist.vendor.camera.is_mode=4"
"persist.vendor.camera.stats.test=5"
Should be working now in the Pie Global Beta

Guys, I might be asking a dumb question, but really needs some help here.
I did the update from lastest stable to the new beta (9.3.7), but I want to revert it back to stock stable rom. There's a way of doing that without flashing it through fastboot mode? The Updater app keeps showing the same error as the #15...
Worked for me...and get update weekly
