Has anyone successfully gotten Google dialer visual voicemail working on an international 6t on T-Mobile? I've searched and found several trips but none seem to work. I've gotten the stock dialer voicemail working but no matter what I do goggle dialer won't give me the tab.
I had given up trying to get Verizon vvm tab to show up.

How can I get my voicemails to show up there? Does it work with Verizon? The tab only appeared after I installed Google Voice and set it up as my voicemail in the phone app settings...
It doesn't matter to me if I have to use Google Voice or Verizon's native voicemail, just seems like a cool feature.
On a related note, Google Voice regularly alerts me of Voicemails hours or even days after I get them...is that normal?
The integrated voicemail in MM is carrier dependent. The only carrier voicemail with full support at this time is Tmobile AFAIK. I doubt it will come to VZW anytime soon. I'm pretty sure visual voicemail is still a $10 up charge for them.
For anyone wondering, I was able to get my GV voicemails to show up in the MM native phone call log by enabling the setting in GV's settings.
I'm using a MXPE(Obviously) with an ATT SIM from Straight Talk. I'm not sure how to enable VvM on ST but I just installed Google Voice and my voicemails aren't transferring over to the dialer. Does anybody know how this can be fixed?
the feature is only supported on Orange, Tmobile and Fi.
Im on ST ATT and my VVM with GV works just fine. What is the problem you are having?
I'm currently using GV for my voicemail. The VVM panel appears in the AOSP dialer but voicemails do not appear there, neither GV of ST. That being the case what's the point of it even being there?
Can someone comment on whether visual voicemail works outside of the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app IF I DISABLE the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app (using package disabler)?
I noticed the Samsung phone app has visual voicemail, is it going to work if I disable the Tmo app?
Thanks!
I figured it out after about an hour of testing.
The stock Samsung phone app's Visual Voicemail works fine, so it's perfectly safe to delete Tmo's voicemail app. BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT you have to first open Tmo's app, allow everything, and get it all set up (e.g. get past everything so that you're able to listen to an actual voicemail). Probably load one voicemail just to be safe. Then it's OK to delete the app and just rely on the Visual Voicemail and notification functionality of Samsung's stock phone app.
Turns out that's wrong and it's still a cluster****. It worked, but if you restart the phone it's broken again. If anyone figures it out please leave a reply as this thread will likely be viewed by people over the next year or so.
The Samsung ROM has visual voicemail built in, and it's specifically Tmo's visual voicemail functionality on this Tmo variant model. So it should do visual voicemail fine without the branded T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app which is so non-necessary that it even lets you uninstall it.
only v voice mail that i have is t mobile v voice mail. i don't have any other additional apps for v voice mail. Why do you want to remove t mobile version?
I'm on TMobile and I got TMobile's variant of the S8 Plus. When I press the VM button in the dialer, it just calls the VM number. What does your Samsung ROM VVM look like? Are you on TMobile's variant?
Is it possible to use the native Samsung dialer visual voicemail or not? I take it not possible like it is on ATT?
Sorry if this might be a dumb post, but I despise tmobile's vvm app because it never notifies me of messages, so I use Google voice. No matter how many times I disable the voicemail tab in the dialer app, it keeps coming back! Is there a way to link the voicemail tab to Google voice so I stop seeing the following error?
There used to be an option for switching the service, but I don't see that here

If you go into voicemail settings, you can switch off vvm in the stock dialer and the tab won't appear at all, so you won't see the error.
Someone posted a workaround on the Pixel forum that might work by downgrading Gvoice.

So my Verizon visual voicemail was working all November,
But I noticed that I wasn't getting any voicemails lately, and actually had to call into the voicemail line and had like tons of voicemail.
The visual voicemail isn't working, and I know my carrier has it on the one.. I mean the old November voicemails are still there..
Now when I go to the voicemail screen, it said:
Activating visual voicemail
You might not received visual voicemail until visual voicemail is fully activated....etc...
I check the setting by going into call settings, voicemail, and have the visual voicemail enabled....
Any thoughts?
I'm having similar issues with Verizon VVM. I did get that same message, but then it would eventually populate my voicemails. Now....I don't get that message, but it switches from today's voicemails to older voicemails intermittently until it gets stuck on older ones. If I click on the new one fast enough to play it, I can listen to it before the screen switches to the list of older voicemails....otherwise I have to close the phone/dialer and start over.
I called Verizon and they say that since the OnePlus 6T is not offered in stores, they don't have a troubleshoot procedure to follow. She did try some other Android fixes, but none of them worked. They suggested I call OnePlus to find an answer/fix.
Having the same issue on Verizon with vvm. Shows up for a few seconds and sometimes can play a message but then the whole list disappears. Anyone figure this out...?
