Hi everybody,
This is my first post in XDA-Developers
Last night I did something bad to my P1000 tablet and I don't know how to fix it. I am running official 2.3.3 ROM installed by myself.
I wanted to get rid of 'pulse' as it was always giving me useless notifications. So I rooted my tablet using this page. Then I installed "Root Uninstaller" to uninstall pulse. At that point, I did uninstall some other system software like "Samsung Accounts" and "Samsung Apps" (I don't remember the names exactly). After that, it got hanged. I restarted my tablet, but after reboot, I realized that touch-screen has stopped working. Since that time, I cannot use the tablet at all.
Since I have some important files in my tablet, I am looking for a way to backup my files and then put a clean ROM to my tablet.
I tried Samsung Kies to backup my device, but apparently it only copies files from the main (~2GB) memory and not from the internal SD card, where all my files are in.
I tried to mount it as a mass storage device, but I cannot find a way to do it. I looked at other posts like this, but they require to change something inside the tablet, like turning USB debugging off, which I'm not able to do at the moment, because my touch-screen doesn't work.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Yes I can, and I did! And I could back up all my files! Thanks a lot!
I write here what I did as a record:
- I turn my device off.
- I hold power and volume-up buttons together to go CWM (recovery) mode.
- I see a text environment with multiple choices. I can move between choices by volume-down and -up keys, and I can select them by touching the home button.
- I select "mounts and storage," then I select "mount /sdcard."
- Then I connect my tablet to computer using the USB cable (I run Ubuntu on my laptop).
- My laptop recognizes tablet storage as a 14GB removable drive.
- I open the drive in my laptop and do whatever I want (copy, ...)
- That's it!

Hi,
Sorry, for my poor English. I'm from Turkey. I bought a Reeder W7iC windows Tablet in Turkey. It's the same EMDOOR EM-I8170. I installed the wrong bios file, while android trying to install. Now, tablet won't turn on. Back light is on. I connected keyboard and mouse on usb otg. It all works. l I found the original bios file. How do i run again it? How do i install android? Thank you in advance for your help.
Tablet specifications:
Intel Baytrail-CR Z3735G, Quad Core
1GB DDR3 FLASH 16GB
Windows 8.1
16:9, 7" 1024*600 IPS
Does it have hdmi? Then connect it to a monitor or tv. What happens if you keep pressing both Vol- and Vol+ and then power on the tablet?
Please send a link to the correct bios, then I can try to make a bios flash package for a usb pen drive.
Yes it has hdmi. I connected to tv. I keep pressed Vol+ and vol- and power on the tablet. dnx mode on the tv. Then, what will i do?
I can't write outside link because i'm new users. [*] is [.]
Correct bios file link:
www*reedertablet*com/reeder/yazilim/reeder_w7ic/bios/ReederW7iC_BIOS_UPDATE_V1.6.8.zip
I want to install android.
EM-I8170 Android Files is here. There is bios file, too. I think for android.

How can i install android to tablet? Thanks for reply.
Ok sounds good. So first thing to do is to flash the original bios/firmware. I will prepare a package in the next half hour. You need a usb hub, a usb stick, a keyboard. Power off the tablet now and try to enter bios menu (press del or escape or f12) and post which bios version is installed. Best is to post a photo. PS: I don't own this tablet and will only help you to recover it with the original bios.
I'm at work right now. I can try them when you get home in the evening. I'll write the results.
Assuming you could enter bios and you have a USB hub, usb stick and keyboard, then you can flash the original bios as follows:
============
Flash new bios
============
1. Connect the USB hub to Reeder tablet and plug in the keyboard and the USB thumb drive containing the new bios files. Power on the device and press DEL or Escape to enter into BIOS.
2. Navigate to "[email protected]", and then choose "Launch EFI shell from filesystem device"
3. After entering shell, type FS?: and then press ENTER
( ? stand for a numeric character. It depends where your USB drive resides, for example, if your USB drive is at FS4, you type FS4: You can always try between FS0 and FS4 )
4. Then type dir and then press ENTER to check if you selected the correct drive
5. Type fpt32.efi -f ReederW7iCBIOS_V1.6.8.bin and press ENTER
6. Type fpt64.efi -f ReederW7iCBIOS_V1.6.8.bin and press ENTER
(PS: you may get an error after either running fpt32.efi or fpt64.efi, but make sure at least one of the flash commands succeeded !)
7. Type exit and press ENTER
8. When you return to BIOS, choose "save changes and reset"
Good luck!
Note1: there is a readme.txt which describes how to install dual-boot Android/Win8.1 on a Voyo A1 Mini (also a EMDOOR tablet). This may be helpful for you to install Android on your tablet.
Note2: if you can't enter BIOS then we must try to flash your tablet using DNX protocol
I tried what you wrote. It installed bios from fpt64.efi. Installation completed. I selected Save Changes and Reset in Bios Menu. Frozen in bios menu. I closed the tablet keep power button. It won't turn on. Now, backlight is off. I think it hard brick. Is there anyone who can help me?
I connected to the tv with hdmi cable. Nothing happened.
Are you sure that bios was the original version? Check if battery is charged and also if you can still enter dnx mode.
İt was original bios file v1.6.8. Battery is full. I can't enter Dnx Mode. I connected it to pc. My pc don't see it m3 or m6 chip also. I think it isn't hard brick. It is Deep Brick.
Try also power on with only Vol+ pressed, alternatively with Vol- pressed. It could be it will then switch to 32-bit mode. Otherwise try disconnecting the battery from the mainboard and reconnect after a minute. If that doesn't help you must buy a flash programmer. There are various at Alibaba for about 30$ with cable connectors for on-board programming.
I tried vol+ or vol- and power button, vol+ and vol- and power button. Nothing happened. I cannot try disconnecting the battery. Because i haven't soldering iron. I think i'll send service it.

My emdoor tablet i82h not are showing display. Does i reprogrammer the BIOS and also not showing the display. came at with windows 10.
Hey all,
I have successfully managed to boot the 4.4 R3 efi img file from Android X86 on my 1051F. It's working pretty well, very smooth, but pretty much none of the hardware works (GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, rotation, sound, etc).
Anyone have any idea how we could fix that? The process for getting it to boot is actually pretty easy. You download the img file from the android x86 site, use Rufus to create a bootable USB key (being sure to set it to GPT for EFI). You then need to disable secure boot on the tablet (instructions found various places on the net if you don't know how), shutdown the tablet, connect the USB key via OTG cable to the tablet, hold the volume up and power on. You will get into the NOVO menu. Once there, select boot menu and boot from the USB key (if it's not listed you probably didn't create the USB key in GPT, or it was detected when you powered on).
In order for it to boot into Android, you'll need a USB keyboard connected to select the android option. Alternately, you can just modify grub.cfg to set a default option and a timeout (which is what I did).
I'd really love it if anyone can provide some input on how to fix the missing drivers. Since the 1050 tablet is basically the identical hardware, I would think it should be easy to get the drivers over to this image, but I just don't know how.
Any help greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: Today I tried and succeeded to get Android 5.1.1 running in the same way. I got the image from the android-x86.net page and it runs very smoothly with working WIFI. Just need to get the rest of the drivers working and add all the google apps (they aren't included in the image).
Hi,
I installed x86 android 6.0 Rc2 on my 1051F too, but I got freeze sometimes Wifi is working....but Screen Rotation Not. Any ideas?
Greetings

Could you go farther in detail about when it freezes and if it is going into sleep mode and back out?
Hey guys,I hope that all the awesome people here can help me to solve a huge Problem.
My GF had a Galaxy S5 Neo,she thought it would be a great idea to drop it directly on the screen so it broke and won't show anything anymore.
No we need to backup some important files from that device.
Gladly I was able to remove the lockscreen protection with her Samsung Account, but still not able to do more.
The device is on the latest official update, not rooted and no USB debugging enabled.
So I tried to get in recovery and use adb, witch will work every now and than, but I found out that the adb in stock recovery is limited,so now way to do anything there.
If I had enabled USB debugging,I could easily use visor to controll the device.
If I connect it via USB to my PC,it shows up,but as an empty device.
And I can't change the USB mode, because screen is completely dead.
Can I change the USB mode without the screen?
Can I enable USB debugging without the screen?
If I could change at least the USB mode, that could help out at least a little.
Long story short,I need an way to backup file from that thing.
If there is a solution for this, you guys would really help me out.

Hey, i have similar problem, i cant unlock the phone so i have empty device at computer, i was wondering if you have any news on it
You Need OTG
Assuming
- you have stock 6.0.1 and
- you have enabled Developer options,
Here is an easy way:
1. Wait for boot to complete.
2. Once you feel like you're at the Touchwiz home screen, attach a keyboard to your S5 Neo.
3. On your keyboard, press Windows + N (Quick Settings tray).
4. Press Tab twice and Enter (Settings).
5. Keep on pressing Down Arrow for 5 sec.
6. Up Arrow one time and Enter (Developer options).
*** You can now (A) enable USB debugging and/or (B) change USB configuaration to MTP ***
7(A). Down Arrow * 7 times and Enter (USB debugging).
7(B). Down Arrow * 22 and Enter (USB configuration).
8(A). Right Arrow and Enter to allow USB debugging (OK).
8(B). Press Down Arrow and Enter (MTP)
9(A). Connect your phone to your PC *** You MUST keep your keyboard connected ***
9(B). Connect your phone to your PC.
10(A). On your computer, run "cmd" and type "adb devices" to authorize. *** You will see "unauthorized" from your cmd window ****
10(B). On your computer, you will see your device connected.
11(A). On your keyboard, press Tab * 3 and Enter (OK).
12(A). On your computer, type "adb devices" again to see if USB debugging works properly.
Note that this may or may not work for you depending on your firmware/settings.
