Hey,
I have this phone already 3 years and the battery starts to drain quite fast.
I know it's time to change the battery, but I live in Israel and they don't sell this phone here anymore, hence I won't be able to buy battery replacement for this phone and someone to open the phone up and fix it in.
Amazon also isn't an option for me as they don't do shipping to here.
Anyone know what I should do?
Is there a reliable genuine battery for this phone on ebay that can perhaps ship it to my country?
Thanks in advance

buy a new phone changing this phones battery is a pain in the ass. Lots of glue involved i got a wood backed one with weird dark spots in the lcd it has 0 battery life and actually doesnt last long enough to do anything safely in twrp....
Incidentally i need a method to flash magisk without using twrp and a method to update twrp without fastboot or i could spend 40 dollars on this phone to get the ifixit kit to replace the battery and hope i dont destroy the ribbon cables.
I skipped the ifixit kit and got my heavy duty plastic faux wood back off. while a oem battery would have been nice I can't justify 40 on my old phone I grabbed just a battery for 14.
Aliexpress ships that battery to Israel.

I think the ifixit kit was for those who need the tools as well. They also sell just the battery for $32.99 which is around what I paid for mine on eBay. Mine is still going strong after 7 months. Let us know how the $14 battery treats you and the link to it.

Hello!
Have anybody tried batteries for Kaiser, that are sold at Ebay? They look cheap and capacious.
http://search.ebay.com/kaiser-battery_W0QQfromZR40QQfrtsZ0
for example this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2800-mAh-BATTER...ryZ20336QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Thanks
I have that one and its quite good, needs to be taken out at half charge or whenever as the phone thinks there is no power left.
How is with GPS? Does it works with this type of batteries? I have heard that there are some batteries that blocks GPS signals..
I still get GPS just fine, I haven't had any problems at all with it, yet....
Thanks, so I'll take it

I bought the same battery and it does not fit my TILT. The battery is too thick for the included battery cover. They want me to send it back to Hong Kong. I am awaiting email to see if they will reimburse the return shipping. Beware.
wow, thanks for reply, but I already bought it (for kaiser) strange - maybe there is a difference in batteries for TILT and for KAISER
Nope! Battery in link to eBay will not work with the Tilt!
Kaiser is the universal name for the phone! AT&T calls it the tilt! HTC subscribers [I believe] call it TyTN II. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
^^(aztilt) I'm surprise they are allowing a return and refund, since they are in Hong Kong and the reason for a return is 'incorrect battery' right?
This battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350254 seems to be a great replacement for all others! Post #73 lists an estimated life increase! BEWARE: I believe company is still fixing any bugs/problems!
Their ad lists the Cingular 8925 which is the AT&T TILT. They are allowing a return and a refund of the return shipping cost. But, for $20 I am going to just keep the battery as an emergency backup. I don't need the cover to use the battery. I also found out that i can carry two standard batteries under the extended battery cover so that what I am doing now. I just have to open the cover and swap the battery if I need to. This way I will always have a spare backup battery with me.
The battery is bigger. You need to install a different battery door cover. If you search ebay they sell the extended battery door cover. Most sellers include the battery cover replacement cover for extended battery when your buy the extended battery. My guess is that you probably tried to save a couple bucks, and ended up with the cheaper item that didn't include the cover

The problem is that you can't read or don't want to look at the pictures I have posted in this thread. I got the extended battery replacement cover with the extended battery but it will not fit on the TILT. I was able to use that extended battery cover to carry two standard size batteries with the phone.
Just received battery - it fits perfectly, maybe its a bit smaller.. Haven't still tested out - because it has to be charged for 10 hours, before use..
Like aztilt I got the wrong battery/cover combination from that ebay seller (ukhitech). They offered a full refund (except shipping I guess) if I send the items back but I am a bit confused why they seem to send out the right battery/cover combination to some people but not to others. I bought my battery in May and didn't know then it wouldn't fit since I bought my AT&T Tilt later on.
The battery I got was 13mm thick and for P4550 Kaiser and the cover had a small hole for the camera so it was not the cover that can be seen in the auction picture.
I am curious to know how thick is the battery you have kpcz? And how does the cover look (large or small camera hole)? And you have an original HTC Tytn II and not a AT&T Tilt, is that correct? (Not sure it matters)
Hey guys, has anyone tried this battery?
http://cgi.ebay.com/za292-Battery-F...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Same battery but cheaper.

And does anyone know if it has a metal backing on the battery like the original?
If I were you I'd not worry about that one. Especially when you can get an OEM battery for a little over $12 at Amazon.

Well that is $12 plus $5 shipping which comes out to be $17. The link I listed shows the battery at $6.90 including free shipping which I would rather get. I just can't justify spending $17 on a 1350mah battery considering a 18650 cell can hold about 2400mah at the same voltage and cost about $7 for a good one. I just really want to know if anyone has tried out the $6.90 one to know if it has a metal contact back. I think that the metal back is used as an antenna and grounding point so I really want one with a metal back.

Yes I did. I got ripped off on ebay. The guy show an oem picture, and I got this one instead... but overall, the battery is ok, not great, but ok.
Bought one last night i'll let you know how it goes.
Got my replacement Vibrant in today (another brand new one - 3rd one)...
NOT HARDWARE LOCKED!
Was the first thing I checked when I put the battery in, and it went to Recovery first attempt XD
9/30/10 phone.
Are there any portable battery chargers for these Vibrant batteries? Since I have two extras I reckon it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry around a spare so I don't have to worry too much about conserving battery (can just switch quickly halfway through the day if needed).

Check ebay.

Although most of these have two more batteries added to them and they are also from Hong Kong but with alot of good reviews.
I've never seen two batteries and a charger for $10. Hrm... I already have two extra batteries so I guess I may get one just for the charger. I don't trust those batteries, though...
Thanks!

i was about to ask for a third replacement too, but i ended up trying out the odin ji4 flash and it unlocked the hardware on my phone. Didn't have to go through with the replacement anymore.
I personally use this, but I don't carry around spare batteries.

I use it along with a Mini to Micro adapter with a 6" or so cable.
I only really carry it when I plan on traveling. Battery gets low I jump start it with the portable.

I am looking for a Nexus One replacement battery. Any recommendation appreciated on where to buy something good and reliable (and what to stay away from).
A battery with a higher capacity but same form factor as the standard one would be great.
Thanks.
Mugen brand or Seidio

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the opposite of what most people will probably tell you... Go to eBay! I wouldn't eBay if you definitely need an extended battery, but if another battery with the same capacity of the original is good enough for you, you can get cheap knockoffs that perform as well as the stock battery without it costing you an arm and a leg.
My G1's previous owner must've overheated the original battery or something... it's puffed up and barely fits anymore and it doesn't hold more than an hour or two charge. I ordered a pack of three batteries off eBay that came with a wall charger. I got the batteries a couple weeks later. One battery was completely dead. One only holds about 90% as much as a stock battery usually does. One was perfect. I contacted the seller about the dead battery and he refunded my purchase price completely, no return required. All in all, it worked out pretty well for me... and the original cost was only seven or eight dollars.
Hi all,
Bought my 6P used a year ago to the day.
Recently, along with the ever-looming battery shutdown bug (32%), I've been struggling to even get an hour SoT, and can go for a short walk with 50% battery and come back with a dead phone.
Huawei refuse to do anything as I do not have original proof-of-purchase for the phone, so my only options are to do things myself or pay someone else.
What are my options here? Will a battery replacement resolve my issues? Replacement genuine batteries seem expensive, are cheap knockoffs to be trusted?
Here is my findings.
I reset my 6P and fully charged. Let it on without using it, it last at least 20 hours and still 59% power left. Then I took 3 photos and it shutdown right away.
I think it is the software issue. Replace battery won't fix it.
Bought my phone used through Swappa and had no proof of purchase, but was still able to convince Google to send me an RMA phone a few weeks ago. Accubattery said the old one had like 70% battery capacity, while the new one is reporting 103% now and my SOT is probably double. So maybe complain away to Google reps until they decide to just RMA it...
Hi, who did you contact for this? I can't find a link on Google's site.
Thanks
Buy a new battery form ebay for 9.99 and it comes with the tools needed to swap with the exception of a x-acto knife or heat gun, but you can use a hair dryer just make sure not to apply heat on the camera or you will have to replace it as well. Buy the one form seller 8-50855 which offers the battery with a temp sensor. The process takes about 20-30 minutes, but it makes a huge difference to have a new battery. Now I get 5-6 hours SoT with heavy usage with pure nexus and custom kernel(Francos) 103% health as well and no more shutting off at 25%.

Unfortunately in the UK they are harder to source.
One thing that worries me is - do you need to glue the phone back together?

they are easy to get in the uk, if you dont trust ebay, i use this company for all my spares for the nexus 6p
https://www.replacebase.co.uk/for-huawei-nexus-6p-replacement-battery-hb416683ecw-3450mah-oem/
also you dont need glue to reassemble the phone, not sure if the battery is held down but if it is, the some double sided m3 tape would do the trick.

Sound, pulled the trigger and ordered off ebay. Now to hope I don't break it taking it apart!
I may end up doing a battery swap also. I;ve had my 6P for 14 months and the battery is only at 65% of it's capacity. This is by far the worst performing battery I have ever had. I'm getting something like 2 hours of SOT. My LG G5, which I've owned longer, has held up MUCH better in the battery department.
I basically move it from charger to charger (car, desk, night stand). I was at an even this weekend and was sure to bring my battery pack to make sure it wouldn't run out of juice during the 8 hours I was there.
I treat my batteries well, and try to never let them discharge below 50% if possible.
I get 2 hours on a VERY good day!
Battery replaced, a little more hassle than it really should be, but let's see how this goes.
