The battery of meizu mx 4 is not good. So I still prefer OPO.
i had the oneplus one and now i have the mx4
opo has a lot of problems ( search google ) touch screen wont work properly ,sometimes i had those ghost touches and a lot of touch issues ,microphone stopped working suddenly ...
the big problem is the support of this company ,in one word ,a big joke , just bought the mx4 with 2 years warrant in my local country, not as fast as the opo but perfect touch screen and a lot of nice features , im very pleased with it more then the opo
Hello maybe i can give some feedback, i actually used an Oneplus One for over 3 months and then switched to meizu, i didnt experience any issues with my oneplus one unit, now yellow band nothing stupid ~
i switched to the mx4 for the following reasons, for my hands the oneplus one wasnt as comfortable to hold due to how the phone is build up, the rouned design of the meizu is way better for me to hold in one hand and do something on the go ~
camera hands down i always thought the oneplus one takes descent shots untill i got my mx4..really compared to the mx4 pictures the oens of the oneplus just look washed out noisy and lack detail (they are still good but just way worse if you compare it to the mx4)
i also prefer the mx4 deisgn..performance wise they are equal..i dont see any difference even tho i score 51k in antutu while i had "only" 46k with my oneplus one, same antutu version
the only downside for me is the battery life, i get easily through the day with my mx4 but i would say i had around 20% more battery with the oneplus one
but as long i get through the day i'm fine, i would never switch my mx4 for a oneplus one.
Yeah I have an MX4 and the camera is probably the best I have ever experienced on a mobile phone and I'm just not saying that. Amazing detail in the pictures, good colors and many options to get the shot you want. Only thing I miss is image stabilization.
I consider buying the MX4. The only thing that bothers me is the software. Will there be the official CyanogenMod support? Or can we expect an upgrade of their OS to Lollipop?
What also bothers me is that there is no subforum here on XDA. Why is that? Is there really no custom software for this phone?

I don't know about Cyanogen but Lollipop is confirmed for the MX4 but I don't know when it will be released. Basically there is no development for the phone. But I like the stock software personally. One of the reasons I bought the phone.
Sent from my MX4
Is there anyway to use HTC Zoe for Nokia 6. Can anyone help me out.
Nokia 6 and moto g4 plus both are work in stock android
In Nokia 6 Google camera to possible portrait mode
But moto g4 plus why can't install
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/themes/google-camera-hdr-portrait-selfie-t3733577
Please dev work camera
Portrait mode not only needs software but also a hardware support! The processor support is needed.. The processors used might be different! Also, I haven't seen the ROM of Nokia 6... For portrait mode the ROM needs to be 64bit.
Google camera's portrait mode is made for pixel 2..look at its specs and the processor and the camera hardware it carries.
I don't know about Nokia 6's config so won't be able to comment exactly the difference.
But please don't ask devs to do something. They provide stuff for free and they know what to provide when! They do it in their free time hence the delay. We all have out lives apart from this forum!
You can use lens blurr in google camera for now it works in the same way.

It also doesn't help that on oreo, we don't have a stable camera.
Remember that even if the phone had the same CPU the implementation could be completely different and would require separate methods of porting.
The Pixel 2 features of GCAM is designed to be only used on the, guess what? The Pixel 2. The community has ported over the features to work on many devices but it is not designed to run on all devices.
We might even have to wait for the official release of stock oreo, please be patient and see.
Agreed with the above post. as far as i know, Gcam works effectively on 64 bit ROM with camera2api and Oreo. We still do not have official Oreo neither do we have oreo camera drivers to support it.
Why Google camera is working on Moto g5 plus and not on Moto g4 plus since both have ported 64bit ROM
Is Level 3 Camera 2 API enable in Nokia 5???
Yes
Same on the xiaomi redmi note 5 pro, still I don't know what to do with it xD still using google camera
It's (beyond) time for me to get a more current phone. Here's my requirements:
5.2 - 5.5"
rootable (bootloader unlockable)
full 64bit hardware (not just the CPU) + 64bit (ARM) Android
at least 32 GB internal storage, better 64 GB
3 or more GB RAM
13 or more Megapixel camera resolution
precise GPS module for Navigation
natively supporting at least Android 9 for native EdXposed capability, better Android 10
stable custom ROM with active current support available (preferred: LineageOS)
SD card slot (dual sim optional)
needn't be new, can be used
LTE is fine - no need for 5G (5G would be fine thanks to downwards capability with LTE/ 4G)
colors: white, silver, dark green, blue/ lavender (no black)
NOT a Huawei
Do above criteria ring any bell? Which phone(s) would you suggest to me?
just purchased a Nokia 6.1 (aka Nokia 6 2018) for €200

Hi, noticed you already bought your phone, but maybe next time if you need advice, then also mention your budget.
Either way, the Nokia 6.1 isnt a great phone, if you can sell it then I'd recommend going for a Poco M3 (Xiaomi) in the USD220 range, or a Realme C3 if you wanna get cheap (around USD 150). Both are available brand new, they have similar processor performance, large screens, good battery life etc. The Poco M3's camera is much better than the Realme C3's, but thats the price you have to pay to reduce the cost. Both Poco's and Realme's software sucks in my opinion, but you're going to use a custom ROM anyways, so that won't be an issue for you. Android 12 is available through custom ROMs for both phones, and they have plenty of support on XDA.
Hi @PhotonIce thanks for your recommendations. Both, the Xiaomi Poco M3 and the Realme C3, are 6,5" and exceed my 5.2" - 5.5" size range. I've used a Nokia 6.2 for half a year last year, so I'll see in the next few months how it'll smaller sibling will perform. My needs are rather low, with Navigation apps (Magic Earth, TomTom) setting the top bar for performance (no gaming or such). At this point I can leave making pixel-sharp photos of UFOs to others ..
Oops, sorry my bad, thought it said 6.2-6.5inch range
Though in that range, I'd still highly recommend the Mi Note 3 (if you can get it). It has a much better SoC, a 12mp camera with OIS and a 12mp telephoto, and a 16mp selfie camera.
indeed nice the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and even with official and latest LineageOS support. Good to know
[EDIT] not available in Central Europe - closest region here to order from would be UK. Only close sibling available here would be the Xiaomi Mi A1 (Mi 5X).
The mi a1 isnt as impressive, I guess it's best if you keep your nokia
Also the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 doesn't have a headphone jack.

True, but you didn't mention that in your list of requirements, so you can't really blame me for that.
oh @PhotonIce don't feel blamed at all - I was just stating the missing jack as a fact. I 100% appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us here
