If i receive a whatsapp, i can reply.
If i ask it to send a whatsapp independent of a message being received, it goes through the motions, confirms what i've said and asks if i want to send it.. When i confirm, it says "sending" but it never does it.. The whatsapp application has no knowledge of any message even attempting to be sent...
Has anyone else seen this problem or have a work around for it?

Hi.
I have LG Optimus L3 E400f (LG-E400f), with SDMergE400 Mod by gellmaR & cRaZyByte, which was posted here by f3tus.
Whenever I'm trying to send sms, it seems that I can't insert a new line by clicking enter.
Instead, clicking enter causing the message to be sent.
However, I'm able to paste a message that already has new lines in advance.
Which means, if I'm writing the message in another platform, e.g. whatsapp, in which I can insert new lines by clicking enter, and then I'm copying the message and pasting it in a sms, then it's successful - the message has new lines, and the recipient receive it with these new lines.
BTW, this is not a ROM issue, since I used different ROMs, like AOKP E400M6 (Stable and unstable) by yayakuya.
Here are my device details:
Model number: LG-E400
Baseband version: LG-E400f-V10f
Kernel version: 2.6.38.6-CM [email protected] #1 (with AOKP E400M6) or 2.6.38.6-CM [email protected] #3 (with SDMergE400)
Does anyone else have this issue with this or with a similar device?

I had a similar issue. Then i installed Go sms app from Play store.. it worked well.. My issue was confined only to text messages and not whats app as you said above !
Thanks a lot for your confirmation!
Will you please write here your Baseband version?
Mine is LG-E400f-V10f.
BTW, I saw that GO SMS Pro suggests to turn off the built in sms system in order to prevent double notifications. How did you did it?
EDIT: Did you turn it off by just unticking the notification setting in the settings? If so, there are still double messages.
This is for: Samsung GT-I9300 (Android 4.1.2 Phone)
Context: We are mobile development consultants and one of a beta versions of the an app we did for client is crashing on client's devices. (It was delivered through Testflightapp but since the app immediately crashes before the testflight session begins, we don't see any debug logs or crash log via testflight)
We want our client to send us the logcat contents so we asked him to:
1) Turn on the Developer Options from Settings/About Phone/ and Touch 7 times on the "Build Number".
2) In Developer Options you will see "Take bug Report". Touch it and Touch Report and it will take some time to prepare the email. When the preparation is complete you will see a notification which will ask you to Share the Report.
He replied:
Looking in developer options and I don't see anything called "take bug report
We then actually checked the user manual of Samsung GT-i9300 Galaxy and it does not have the 'take bug report' feature.
Question: How can we access the logcat contents from the client's device without resorting to integrating a logging framework in the app ?
Dump state error log or adb
I am using the "CM 11.0 with app2sd, glove mode, dual boot for all S4 variants" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383143&nocache=1) ROM on my US Cellular Galaxy S4 (SCH-R970). I have been updating regularly, but skipped a few. Somewhere between the 20140412 build, and the 20140423 (and newer) build, my phone stopped being able to break long SMS into smaller. I reverted back to the 20140412 build, and the problem is resolved. With the newer build(s), the SMS simply fails to send; using any SMS app (Hangouts, Handcent...). No error message is announced; other than "SMS failed to send." Reducing the character count to less than 160, and the message sends fine.
Thoughts?
Thank you.
Hi,
i have strange problems using GCM service over xmpp
i just use the sample code provided bei Google here:
developer.android.com/google/gcm/ccs.html#implement
sometimes this code works fine, and i get the notification on my device
but sometime i just run into a SASLError:
Code:
SASL authentication PLAIN failed: text:
the cause for this error is, that Google GCM server returned an error:
Code:
text
which is unknown in the smack SASLError enum.
so first i don't know what the root cause is.
when i run this code in a loop, i can see that for n request in a row i receive this error, then after some time, the error is gone and messages are send.
again after some time, i receive the error again.
couldn't explain why,
could it be that there are some Google Servers not working properly ?
when i use the test url:
Code:
gcm-preprod.googleapis.com:5236
at least i don't get the SASLError, instead i just get not-authorized.
but the behavior is the same, n requests works n next requests doesn't
did someone have any idea why this happens ? or having the same problems ?
thanks a lot

I found the solution.. IMS Service issue is related to Message app.. if you choose any other message app as default SMS app the error will stop coming. But I dont want to use the other default messaging app.
Go to the link https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...g-messages/samsung-messages-5-0-11-8-release/ and try downloading 5.0.22.1 version of message app(it works for me you can check another version if it wont get installed). and install as normal APK. once successful installation select again it as Default app. Error will be gone..
Hope this works for you.
Hit Thanks if it works.
Thanks for the solution. Tried the same, but unfortunately, it didn't work. Now the Phone has started to lag and I can't make any calls/SMS through sim1. Although when I switch off Sim 1, the issue gets resolved; but that is making my problem worse. Any suggestions?
Hi I am having the same issue and its related to volte, seems the volte does not gets automatically registered while restarting. This behaviour is common in customs roms. The fix that works for me is to create a new apn with name & apn as ims, protocol as ipv4/ipv6.

did not work for me. please any other solutions ?
Go to settings/ Device management /Reset/ Reset network settings
It worked for me
Just reset network settings
It is all about the default messaging app. I just installed the update and faced the same problem. Came here to see the solution.
What I did is just installed the Messaging app by Google LLC. You can use any messaging app and set as default. done
Go to settings > connections > more connection settings, turn off advanced calling and messaging.
Thank me later
Solution
