I cant find any setting regarding volte on this phone. Even though they say OP6T has volte setting.
So hard to Google?
1: Go to the dialer and enter: *#800#
2: Select Enter
3: Go to Logkit
4: Swipe down to function switch
5: Tick VoLTE, VoWiFi switch
6: Reboot
Keep in mind, that will not enable VoLTE if you don't have the right NV-Settings, IMS apn configured, your carrier doesn't support VoLTE or your subscription is not provisioned for VoLTE.
I put these in, when I was on version xx.07 which obviously didn't support VoLTE...when the update to xx.11 came
along, VoLTE popped up and worked (and boy you can tell a difference in the call quality!), no VoWifi though.
Now, when I enter the *#808#, a completely different menu & options comes up? The Logkit option isn't available.

Who is your carrier? Is it supporting VoLTE and VoWifi? And you may have many active icons and the status bar won't show them all because of its limitations.

Did you ask your carrier about it? Some carriers only support their branded phones for certain services.

Which network are you on? In the UK, I'm on the network Three which supports VoLTE but call it SuperVoice. VoLTE didn't work initially for me but VoWiFi did. I had to use the QPST method to get VoLTE working for me. The OP6T is not a handset offered by Three and they stated that only handsets bought from them support their SuperVoice technology. You can get it working but it can be a lot of trial and error. You can mess up your phone so I would only recommend it if you know what you're doing.
You might need to get a new SIM card from your carrier to solve this problem. It worked for me and required zero screwing around with phone.

Doesn't work. Brings up an option that says "RAT Selection Option is restricted" I can't select anything or make any changes (it also doesn't give an option for Cellular type" looks like AT&T locked it down again.)

It should stay here's how.
With the SIM card remove Dial *#2263# select WCDMA, select All, then bottom left haptic button select end and reboot with the SIM card in
I mean don't do the next step (Open dialer again.Dial *#2263# select automatic)
maybe this could be a project for the devs that allow us to simply enable and disable using radio buttons or something.
anyone know if it's possible?

Yes it is possible but we'll have to be patient.
Does it drain battery even if you are not in an LTE supplied area?

2. Go to "More....", once in, click on "Mobile Networks"
3. Go to "Access Point Names"
4. Once in you will see "AT&T PTA" with a radial button as your only option. This is the default gateway.
5. Click on Menu button below, and you will have two choices, "New APN" or "Reset to default" click on New APN.
You will see a series of lines under "Edit Access Point" and click on "APN" and enter as follows "wap.cingular"
If you like you can rename the "Name" to whatever you like...I used "AT&T HSPA+"
Click "Save"
This will give you access to HSPA+ network only. I found this info online for the Galaxy SIII with ICS coming stock. This is an ICS only option I believe, I don't recall cause I dumped the Gingerbread 2.3.6 cause it was burning up batteries like crazy.
Please be advised I have the Galaxy SII Skyrocket, they are building the LTE network in my area as we speak and I was getting all sorts of interference from their testing and upgrades so until its complete I'm running HSPA+ only and the problems went away.
Hope this helps!

That might work. But it will not turn off the LTE radio, the phone will still have LTE on but will connect to the slower internet. LTE remains on=battery drain is on.
What is the best shortcut to toggle data on/off (not WiFi)?
Thanks
Very simple actually:
1. Pull down notification down all the way
2. Tap once on your cellular network icon
3. Turn off (or turn it back on) the data
4. Your done

When I pull down notification and tap on my cellular network icon (there are two side by side - it's a 2 SIM card model) it opens a "Data usage" screen and then I have to tap on an icon that shows me another screen named "Sim cards" where I have a control named (Cellular Data) that allows me to turn it off.
Too much steps. That's why I asked.
Thanks for trying to answer.

For single SIM variant which the original poster did not specifically say it would
look like the screenshot. Which is only one click from pull down menu.
I agree it's a pain in the ass. I use a shortcut in Nova. It eliminates 1 click.

I took a look around in the Play Store and only found apps for the mediatek SoC dual SIM which of course isn't going to work here. I don't think any of the normal apps (widgets) that work on single SIM are up to the challenge. Last thought on this - maybe as time goes forward that some of the users working on custom Roms like CM & AOSP might be able to include some tricks for this kind of thing.
Anyone find a solution to this? The dual SIM version is a pain to disable data. Not to mention I want to have this done automatically with Tasker and I cannot right now... Thanks!
I am not 100% sure if this works with dual sim, however running Shell command in Tasker svc data disable/enable works great. Be sure to check root.
Don't have the Moto but 3G Watchdog includes a widget for toggling the data on/off by one touch on an icon. It works with Zuk Z1 which is a dual sim phone. Maybe you can try this.
gravitybox has this.also has toggle for smart network!
I just got my September 1st Android security update OTA (I'm in the UK).
Right from the start, I noticed that the phone didn't lock/show the Clear View info when I closed the front door of the cover. In fact, the screen just stays on like the cover hasn't been shut at all. Also,, when opening the cover, it doesn't bring the screen on either - so it's completely ignoring the magnet from the looks of things.
Has anyone else got this?
Answering my own thread here:
A second boot showed the "Upgrading apps" screen very briefly, and once booted, seems like everything is back to normal with a fully working clear view cover. So after the upgrade, do another reboot just in case of any weirdness (might apply to more than just the clear view cover issue I had).

Er, afraid I don't know what that is. Tell me how to check and I'll take a look.
It's usually in the quick toggles, it says VoLTE as the icon i think.

VoLTE is in phone settings, not in quick toggles.
And I think your carrier should support and enable VoLTE to use it. I'm on the August update.
On the efficient rom 3.2 there is no volte even though my carrier supports it, any ideas?

Could you check if it is in phone settings too? I done some googling and apparently some people say on the september patch it has been baked into it.
When i download the wanam csc app, i can see all the csc values for volte to be true but no volte option on the phone app nor quick toggles

1. This thread has been created for general discussion regarding the VoLTE.
2. I request people to direct all their questions in the Q/A section (as per XDA rule) and leave the development section to developers. Hijacking threads is not allowed.
3. Please search before posting and use the thank you button instead of creating extra posts. Please do not spam. Thank you.
I am well aware that some threads are already present but felt this would help the development threads a bit tidier and neat.
Just a note :- I *don't* use VoLTE.
Having said that, let the discussion begin...

Hi everyone,
Obviously, I know where to find the setting that allows you to switch between LTE/GSM/WCDMA to, say, just WCDMA. But is there a tool that would allow me to switch that mode from a widget or quick setting tile? My commute features varying degrees of network congestion on LTE, so I like to switch back and forth. I'd just like for that process to be something I could do more quickly.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I don't think so as far as I know. Best option I've found is keep the code in a text file and copy paste into the dialer and change from there.
