i know Oreo and before then, had the OOS had 1080p 60 FPS, why is this not on pie? Or there is a bug we need to wait for fixing.

You should ask in the specific rom thread. Also there are ported cameras like https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/google-camera-hdr-t3655215 which support it.

Well i went through 5 custom roms and they don't have the 1080p 60FPS in the OOS pie camera, so i'm just wondering if anyone see this. As for your link i will keep in mind.

Before i get chastised for asking this. I have tried every camera apk (the lg cameras) for aosp and i cant get a single one to record 1080p 60fps. It will look like 60 fps in the viewfinder before i press record and then the framerate just completely drops . Is there a fix or something i dont know about? Im on the latest build of paranoid android.

since the camera module isnt open sourced we cant merge those features into aosp roms. also all these 60fps and 120 fps recordings require those dammed libs which are again, closed source. so if you want camera features like me. id suggest cloudystock 2.2. its a nice rom with good battery life and not much bloat .

Thanks for the reply. I guess i'll either stick with the oneplus one camera app for now since its pretty good (aside from being able to do 60fps) or try out cloudystock like you said
If you like a darker UI try out cloudyflex
Now I am using latest RR ROM.
Is there any way to flash a separate camera with slowmo feature in it...
Pls help me on that

Please delete this thread. If you want features, you'll need to request it in the respective ROM thread.
Now get this into your head, Redmi 3S can only record at 30fps max. Slow motion video requires atleast 4 times the framerate. Now delete this thread

Works well
Photo issue
On taking video with 60fps works well but taking pictures is terrible stuck, it look like 10-15 fps. It's great job it 60fps but you need repair taking photo!

I tried in Arnova Gcam, and open camera (i set 60 fps, with default bitrate), for both 60 fps dont work
EDIT: In ProShot, there is no 60 fps option available for 1080p
EDIT2: In FreeDCam recording only in 30 fps, but 1080pHFR is available

Miui9 Crash after set to FullHD , i will check gcam
it turns the camera into a vibrator each time i move the phone too fast while recording/taking pictures, and when you first open the camera. rofl. but i do like the preview mode after flashing this mod. it's much better in gcam now. the preview used to lags without it, now it's smooth, very smooth. that part i hope all rom will implement it. i'd consider a lagging camera preview as a bug. can you provide some details on how you enabled it?

Hello, I have been using GCam for a while on my stock Pie and I still suffer from autofocus issue. Is this issue in any custom ROM? Like for example PE? Thanks.
Yes. But Why don't you set the resolution to 9 mpx on stock? For me autofocus works great doing that.
The issue only exists on Stock pie, in custom roms it works just fine, the results are amazing. I'm using Lineage with 5.1 gcam from arnova

I would better shoot in full res instead of cropping to 9 MPx, but other user said it doesnt occur in custom rom so whats the truth?

Hey! I love this phone but i'm kinda getting tired of my beautiful gcam pictures coming out a little blurry, and not being able to "tap to focus". 9MP is off the table for me since I just can't get myself to like the aspect ratio. So, is there any rom or kernel that fixes it? obviously, it has to be pie.
note: the last time i tried to unlock my bootloader, an error popped up. when i reseted my phone, the official pie update installed itself. would that affect any new attempt at unlocking it?

Many said that the AF problem in Pie disappear when using custom roms and install Flex's HAL1 port. I haven't tried this myself since I'm staying on Oreo.
I've got Lineageos and autofocus with gcam is good.

Its a stock Pie rom.When you set 9MP auto focus issue is gone, idk i never used gcam in stock rom
I am currently using Lineage OS 16 and gcam is working without any issue

Slow motion not working idk why
Recording in 4k dont have any stabilization because its not supported.
1080p stabilization works tho
