I have two tab e 8 T377P, both have some sort of generic MDM program locked on it when it boots, cant do anything but be in this app, MDM blocks factory reset and MDM blocks Odin, can't get into settings to enable usb debugg and safe mode blocked
I've tried everything I could find in old threads on here, and nothing seems to work, so are these paperweights?
Thanks for help
The tablet is locked down in a kiosk mode. The best way is to ask for removing this device from the MDM supported tablets. You can also enter a safe mode to see what are the options available in "Settings" in order to wipe out the data from this tablet.
that's not possible . even in safe mode it wont allow for SETTINGS to be accessed what so ever. because of MDM mode its restricts access to settings even sd cards, and pluging in your device even tho oden does recognize it. now there has to be a way to by pass this. Everyone has a method for everything else. why not share the knowledge cause I know a few of yous no exactly what your doing . but arnt sharing please . Flashing Twrp or rom DOOES NOT WORK. what are the alternatives?
SMH, 75 views and no one can help . lol stop being snooty and thinking bad things. cause I know for a fact that's what it's about . this forum sucks

USB Debug works great
Possible to enable OEM Lock via ODIN or ADB ?
Everything is blocked by FRP Lock
######
Hi all,
Regarding s6 edge plus, I have a SM-G928I, is it possible to enable usb debugging without going into developer options ? A friend bought a second hand phone and its locked to an account unfortunately, and ODIN wont connect so ican root/reflash due to im assuming the usb debugging not being enabled.
I'm trying to save him some money by paying a repair shop >.< any tips?
Thanks
Anyone?
They sure are nice phones, the screen real estate vs my HTC one m9 is certainly noticeable
Did you install Samsung USB drivers and plugged phone in download mode? Can try also going to recovery and performing factory reset
Have installed samsung drivers, i can see the phone on the PC as a drive to load data to, but odin doesn't see it.
Factory reset seems to still have the account linked, a security feature of 5.1 i'm sure.
I'm getting a copy of the stock rom from sammobile
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G928I/
fingers crossed i can use this and it recognises it if i just replace the stock file
can it be forced via adb?
Okay so turns out i'm thinking of the wrong thing. USB Debug works., great can interface via ODIN and ADB.
Is it possible to enable "OEM Unlock' via command line interface of adb, or ODIN ? without access to the OS this is making life hard
Flash stock firmware. You need to flash stock firmware to access the OS and then enable OEM Unlock. There is no other way. You cannot charge it even without enabling it.
AFTER ROOTING MAKE SURE NOT TO DISABLE OEM UNLOCK.
I tried that, flashed stock firmware from sammob but it still wants the sellers Gmail account has he bought a brick?
Do a factory reset after ODIN flash. Flash TWRP, access recovery, format system, cache and data (including internal) and then check.
thanks, will update soon
Stock firmware flash works
Factory reset / cache clear works
Flashing TWRP fails due to FRP lock , due to the OEM Unlock not being enabled im assuming
"Custom Binary(RECOVERY) Blocked by FRP Lock"
I'm sorry but I think you are locked out of the phone.
It certainly seems that way. its always frustrating as a geek to be defeated

Hi, I've bought a phone with same condition.
Have you solved the problem?
Sure have, I obtained a file which allows you into the settings from the Google lock screen which allows you to enable OEM unlock. Due to the legalities though I'm not sure it's allowed to share this here though
can you please post/send me this file ? and instructions, i assume you flash it via Odin/adb

This what worked for me. Try this at your own risk .
I tried the stock rom listed here through Odin and I was not able to get back into my device because of the
FRP Lock. FRP Lock Binary Message , would not let any of the roms boot onto my device from Odin and I tried a lot of different solutions. This is the only thing that worked for me .
I downloaded Kies 3.
I installed it .
I put my device into download mode ( I did not connect it yet )
Kies wil tell you that your device is not compatible with the software .
Knowing that Tmobile software would be close enough I decided to give this a try. (Some people have bricked their phones trying to run t-mobile software through odin, this is running through kies is different, it worked for me.)
In Kies I then went to where it said Tools,
I selected the option that says "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization.
Its going to ask you for the model number and the serial number.
I won't go into details of how I got it but use the MN: SM-G530T1 - Serial Number: R28GA0EJ6FZ
Its a public serial number
Then from there it ask you to hook up your device,
Once you hook up your device you can continue with the install.
Make sure that you are taking the battery all the way out before putting the device in download mode. In my opinion this may be the best way to make sure it works.
Please let me know if this works for anyone. Thank all of you that helped me and gave me advice to get my phone restored . I hope that this helps everyone who has this issue.
One things for sure . This will make me never want to buy a metro device again especially if there devices aren't supported by samsung.
I'll try my best to answer any questions anyone might have. I'm really hoping that this will help all who have that nasty FRP LOCK

I setup my brothers phone with Kingroot like 2 weeks ago, then randomly yesterday this crap happens. This security feature is ridiculous. A warning, I can understand but this thing is borked.
Using the stock cable and connecting it to the laptop at the error screen, as well as at the bootloader. In both instances, the phone started charging, but wasn't detected by the PC.
Having the same issue. ..

The prog keeps saying the s/n isn't correct. Not sure what to do now. .
I did the same thing and everything works fine EXCEPT multimedia messages. From there as far as I've learned its just trial and error with access point names. Which in the grand scheme of things isn't that bad considering the run around I had to go thru before I found xda forums. Metro told me to file a claim and get a new phone, insurance provider said no and sent me to Samsung, Samsung said no sent me best buy, best buy was going to follow directions noted above except the serial number for the firmware was 1 digit off (I'm assuming they were skeptical about flashing tmobile firmware which I understand but they let me figure that one out on my own). Thank you XDA.
Sooo...how many and which ports have you tried on your PCs? Sammys are finnacky sometimes with USB ports. On my PC, only 1 port will detect ANY Samsung devices in Download Mode but the others work fine with every other device. Try all your ports, preferably USB 2.0 and on the back of your computer. Ones on the front don't usually have enough power for anything other than file transfers.
Just a suggestion from experience
So I bought my son a Galaxy Grand Prime and he said that he was playing some racing game on the phone. He then put the phone on the charger and now there is a message that says Custom Binary Block by FRP. I tried downloading Kies 3 but it is not allowing me to do anything with the phone. Nothing happened so I don't know if I did it correctly. I also took the phone to Samsung and they basically said that the phone is no good. like I am not understanding why this can't be fixed even by Samsung. Some one please help!!!
I do that but it says the S/N its incorrect when its not

Oh also, after putting it in download mode it will give you a message saying something like "custom software can cause problems are you sure you want to proceed?". Click yes and proceed, then your phone will connect to the computer.
Just follow the directions and have Kies installed first.

You need a computer to run keis or Odin so that you can reflash your firmware
Hi, I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but Im having to use someone else's windows phone and its hard to navigate through the site.
My problem is that I tried to root my s6 edge plus using an application called King Root. The install got to 17% and then turned the phone off. When I load the phone up now I just get the message "custom binary locked by FRP lock" in red writing and the phone instantly boots off.
Is there a way to get around this without losing my data on my phone? I have some very important photos that are on there that I really don't want to lose, unfortunately nothing is backed up. I've been researching and apparently this is possible using a programme called Odin? I hope this is possible as I don't want to lose my stuff on my phone.
Any help would be great, thank you.
To be brutally honest if you haven't heard of Odin and you're using Kingroot, you're way out of your depth and you shouldn't be even thinking about rooting your device.
Not being nasty, sincerely. But you need to do a LOT of research.
The only way to rescue your device is to flash a stock firmware via Odin. There are guides on this site, read them and then read them again and again. Your photos are probably gone unfortunately. I would say definitely, but mircles can happen..
Good luck!
Maybe just flashing the stock bootloader may help but once you atart flashing the pda i think your photos may be gone. Unless where ever they are stored doesnt get over written they may be recovered uisng a data recovery app on the play store like gt recovery and the deep scan option.. it still finds photos from 5 new rom installs on my opo
Hello everyone,
Im in a bit of a pickle and hope someone here can help?
bought a g930p off second hand site, but when got home to fire it up there was the google reset protection on it (FRP), thought no hassle ill just wipe the phone and why not updated it to the latest while at it, so grabbed the latest files (8.0) and flashed the lot with odin, silly me thought this would just clear the phone totally including the FRP, anyway back to stage one of a phone that i cant use,
what ive tried:
z3x tool (asks to start adb, have adb started from platform tools dose nothing)
tried downgrading to 6 to try the OTG cable trick, wont let me downgrade
ive tried a few methods on here as well, but none seem to work anymore, so dose anyone know how to get past this with 8.0 installed ?
Thank you
Also i see there is a twrp for the Exynos version, is there version for the Qualcomm (g930p) version and would that help removing the FRP ?
Guess i should follow up on this, I ended up taking it to a phone repair shop, i asked how he did it and he didn't want to tell me.
So i guess this post is for anyone searching for a solution, wont find it in this thread sorry.

Well what they do is flash a modified SBOOT or Aboot file with adb enabled (because when you're on the setup assistant thats not enabled; you have to go to Developer Settings and blablabla and offcourse that's impossible at this time) then use Z3x to disable frp.... other method used is flashing combination firmwares (these are special FW that are used by the Samsung Engineers that comes with ADB and other usefull things for debugging, but make the phone unusable for everything else) and then the same thing using Z3x or Octopus Box; but I really don't know if theres a Combination FW for Bootloader 8.
Hi I am new to this but i have a samsung Tab A 10.1 SM-T595 from my university and it is locked with their knox cloud service so i have tried to restore OS with Odin and now i cant login or anything to their knox nor get android so i wanted help getting android to my tab without access to any settings is there any way? the Bootloader is locked aswell so i cannot use them i was searching for a workaround so i need help. i have maximum access to the connect to wifi screen before knox takes over and i lose previlges to anything cuz everything is blocked by their service

Through the combination firmware i have unlocked the bootloader but if i flash the samsung os i still get the enrollment page so i was wondering if there is any other way and i am not able to flash twrp for some reason as it switches into a diff page and i dont know if there are any cutsom os for the tablet .i wont be using cellular anyways so if there is a custom os that works i can try
what he did was take a tablet owned/provided by his school who have a mdm service on it that is set to lock the device if it is wiped specicically to prevent ppl from modifying it or stealing it.
its basically an mdm lock.. you need to contact the school and ask them to remove the mdm lock. any time you connect to data which is required when mdm locked it will lock or set up the mdm again.
you cant get rid of it by simply flashing firmware...

oh there is but not gonna get it out of me.. im against it as it is unethical (borderline stealing)..
they put mdm on devices for a reason.. to top it off its supposed to be used for his education.. hopefully it wasnt bought with taxpayers money..
basically its tied to the imei/serial.. when it was first installed it sets flags on the device so depending on what they set up it can block factory reset, block ota upgrades including in download mode etc.
when it starts up it sees that it is tied to an mdm via the flags and requests internet connection to move forward at which it updates with tbe server and loads any policies or w.e back to the device

Okay, so I found out how to bypass it
1. You need to get the PIT file for your device. I found this guide on how to get it: https://www.getdroidtips.com/how-to-extract-pit-files-for-any-samsung-galaxy-device/
2. Once you have the PIT file boot your device into Download mode and connect it to your computer.
3. Load the stock firmware into Odin (BL, AP, CP, CSC OR if your firmware is just one file then load that file)
4. Then load the PIT file into Odin.
5. Go to the Options tab on Odin and make it look like this:
6. Go back to Log and click on Start
7. Wait for the firmware to flash and for your device to boot up.
8. Once it's done the enrollment page will be gone
If you have any problems or questions please let me know

the pit file is in the firmware files lol every firmware has the pit file.. u just extract it..
and thats not permanent.. soon as it phones home itll register the mdm again..

I know but that's if you have the CSC file, if your firmware is just one file then it's not there.

well yea, i meant regular 4 file firmware (or 5) ap bl cp csc home csc and userdata..
and yes.. they use your imei and/or sn which is enrolled in their portal/server so eventually they can send policy over the internet..
you can even get a trial and check it out urself.. type in knox manage or knox suite or knox configure etc.

But it still works, right? If it doesn't work, how is it even possible to bypass then? Wouldn't you have to change your IMEI and/or SN?
