Hey,
Since an recent Huawei P10 Lite update I'm unable to hit breakpoints for native c++ code in android studio, but everything works fine for other devices.
So far I could only find one post about this on the huawei forums .
developer.huawei.com/ict/forum/thread-50127.html (need to translate)
Has anyone experienced this issue?

Hello!
This is my first post, any suggestions on how to improve are gladly taken!
I would like to install a Bliss Rom which does not support my Huawei P8 Lite (Android 5.0).
Is it possible? And if not, what ROMs would you suggest?
I think our cute little p8lite doesn't have any custom roms.. But we have to hope we will get a few.. Maybe some roms ported from honor 4x?
Ps. And remember... You can't install roms from another devices
i wish to be a lot or custom rooms to our p8 lite too !
will we ever get a cyanogenmod?
You may want to follow @XePeleato 's efforts in porting (help appreciated) here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/rom-aosp-5-1-1-ale-l21-t3350106
Unfortunately at the current phase the RIL is not working (you are not able to call / receive call)
The problem probably lays in the HIiSilicon Kirin chipset. The chipset is fairly unique, with only a few devices built with it, there are no general fixes for issues like RIL problems, so everything needs manual fixing, which is like modify-rebuild-try, after every effort to trying to fix issues.
It takes time, and manual labour, which is very tedious.
XePeleato said, he'll wait for the official 6.0 releases, and try to do some things after that.
I'm also interested in the building process itself, already downloaded a linux vm, and the CM source code itself, and I'm trying to learn how the system is working, so there are mulltiple people who are willing to make ROMs.
There is a person who works on cyanogenmod for our p8lite.

You can install sokkoban's rom. It is emui but contain a lot of features that aren't available now on Huawei p8 lite. Especially camera modes like light painting, super night mode etc. http://huaweip8lite.blogspot.com/?m=1
I have checked the general instructions presented on google to add custom voice commands but it doesnt seem to be possible on the P10 lite
Anyone know how to do this?
Hey all. I have been looking around the net for a while now trying to find good instructions on how to go about rooting my P10 Lite and then being able to install Android 9 or 10 version on it. However, my searches have not come up with any good tutorials. Most of them I have found all center around paying for something.
My phone is the following:
HUAWEI P10 Lite WAS-L03T (Android 7.0)
If anyone would be so kind in pointing me to or giving steps on how to do the above then that would be great and save me a lot of time!

just search the p10 lite forum on xda and you will find what you are looking for here are more then just 1 step by step tutorial about rooting and costum roms.
but you need unlocked bootloader...use DC-unlocker tool to get the unlock-code. its cost 4 credits = 4 Euros and a tutorial how to unlock you find on DC-unlocker Homepage.
good luck

Hi! I received today the HarmonyOS update in my MHA AL00
I have google play, I don't want to lose it. I don't know if install the update or not
Finally have HarmonyOS running on rebranded MHA-AL00 (rebranded from MHA-L29 C567). I am using it as a daily driver now and see what the experience will be like. I also installed Google Play Store. In the meantime, if anyone has any questions, I can try to answer. I suspect underneath, it might still be 9.1. EMUI based. For instance, there is still no dark mode in the settings.
how to rebrand mate 9 MHA-L29 with android 9 to chinese rom MHA-AL00
Does it still work on Android 9? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-update-package-and-downgrade-nougat.3699522/

how did you rebrand MHA-AL00
Sorry to hijack the thread, but this isn't a common device now and I'm needing help.
I switched to my Mate 9 from my OnePlus 6t for a weekend of concert recording and set a new passcode just in case I dropped it. When I got home, I put it in the drawer and switched back to my OnePlus. I intended to pull the content off but forgot to plug it in so it could charge - it died in the drawer and requires a passcode to unlock. The few weeks after I set the random code, I couldn't remember it, and I've been trying to pluck away at it, but the time limitation makes it an issue.
Is there any way to remove the passcode? If I flash TWRP and a ROM, will it remove the startup lock? I don't want to just factory reset as I will lose all of my data.

I paid a guy $15 for this. Google "Ministry Of Solutions". There are many instructions on this forum, but I tried a couple without success. Probably messed up a step or two somewhere. I had original US version (MHA-L29 C432), then rebranded to EU version (MHA-L29 C567) - I did this conversion myself, and now on to (MHA-AL00) China version with HarmonyOS 2. Runs as daily driver fine and speedy. kind of like the new UI and grouping of icons. I think underlying it's still Android 9.1
Some of my apps are started to stop working since they need at least android 8 while my p10 lite has android 7. When I try to update it from the system menu it says there are no updates available. How can I manually install at least android 8 or any other more recent android on my phone? Where can I download those androids and how much safe are they? Am I going to be able to use the official android from the Android website or should I trust some modified android versions developed by enthusiasts?
