Hi.
Over the holidays, I spent far too much time going back and forth between 9.0.11 and Beta-2 and it resulted in a bit of an embarrassing situation.
First, I wasn't able to download youtube videos anymore because I had too many registered devices. All those devices had the same name but for some reason, Google thought they were all different devices. I had to chat with google and ask them to clear out my device list.
A few months ago, and this was with a Pixel 3, I wasn't able to use Google Pay anymore because my bank couldn't activate the card. The problem was that my profile was full of devices so they had to clear that as well.
Now, after going back to 9.0.11 with hopefully the intent to stay on stable for awhile, I was not able to register my device via intune anymore because, well, my account was FULL of devices so I had to open a ticket with IT and explain why I had capped the number of registered devices.
So all that being said, is there a way to flash different versions on the One Plus 6T, have fun with Betas, but not have Google Play Music or Intune think it's a brand new device being setup? I believe de-registering might be the best option but even that's capped; both Intune and Google Play Music have a maximum number of devices you can de-register.

What adding new Google Apps account, I getting the message that this account require Google Apps Device Policy to be installed.
I have installed the Google Apps Device Policy. But when I getting to Account selection screen, pressing OK do nothing. It’s not go to next step of setting up the policy and cannot log in.
Anyone solved this issue?
Shay
I got google apps account (not premium, standard only) and it works flawlessly. Could you make second check to make sure that you have mobile access enabled?
I thought I would be the only professional user
I'm searching the hole internet for 3 days now to find people with this problem.
I experience exactly the same issue.
It took me about 10 factory resets to find out that it is an sgs2 issue.
Shame on Samsung.
This Phone is useless for professional users with Google Apps account.
To all who need the Google Apps Device Policy-App:
Please contact the Samsung support at least 10 times a day.
Until they understand that this is a killer-bug

This issue affects only business accounts.
I was just wondering if most people use the same google account for phones and their tablet or have people created a separate "tablet" account? I noticed all the apps i have installed on my phone reinstalled on my tablet the first time, which was ok, but I started thinking, what if i start putting roms on each, it seems it'd be very easy to start getting some apps on the phone but not on the tablet, and vice versa.
i.e facebook is not available for the tab, so now if i wipe my phone and put on a new rom is the auto restore not going to restore facebook anymore?
I was also curious about how google talk or apps like that might handle multiple logins, anyone have problems with that yet?
I use the same account.. that way I don't have to buy apps twice!
Also added my wifes gmail/gtalk accounts on there without any issues. It just prompts you for what user you want to sign in with when you start the app.
I also just use one account so I don't have to pay twice (especially since I paid for the $30 Slingbox app).
Google Talk handles multiple concurrent logins fairly well, as has been the case since it was available in the browser email.
If you don't want apps automatically reinstalled when flashing a new ROM, just uncheck the box during the initial setup. I find it annoying and tend to only reinstall apps when I have a need to use them.
There was a thread in apps stating that google would be limiting google music to 4 authorizations per year. This could be a problem for many who flash roms because everytime you clear data it acts as if its a new device. So if you flash 4 roms in one day and have google music authorize your account every time, then for the rest of the year you won't be able to access the music on the cloud from your device because you won't be able to authorize it. Well google is nixing that plan until they can fix the device recognition. So anybody that paniked and started looking for alternate players can breathe easy... http://mobile.theverge.com/2012/5/16/3025274/google-music-device-deauthorization-limit-suspended[/URL]
Hi all. I'm looking for some advice. After 3 months with my C60 N7 16gb and constantly having to close notifications from my daughter's games, I decided to get her one of her own (she wanted a leap pad)... actually I am got 32gb C90K N7 and am giving her the 16gb.
Should I set up her own gmail/Google account or is it easier to just have another device on my account? Safer / more secure? What are the pros and con's?
I figure I will install SmartApp protector so she can't get to internet without asking, and Pin on the Play store for purchases (if she figures out how to clear cache and data to bypass/erase the Pon, she earned the game!).
She likes zoodles and has a handful of other games etc.
What else should I be looking into regarding management of content, etc? Are there any apps that I can monitor her activity from my N7? Other safety or utility things I should consider? In the event if loss, should I install some sort of remote wipe App?
From a case standpoint, I think I will get her one like mine (CrazyOnDigital rotating leatherr folio). She likes it, it is inexpensive and functional. I looked at the Naabi Bumper... Definitely more study but so bulky. I might try to find something like the portable DVD player case for it so she can Carey charger and stilts to between home and her mom's house.
Thoughts and advice are welcome.
Time to go root and unlock my N7 and play...

1.) you can always block notifications for specific apps in 'app info' (long click on notification, it'll take you there)
2.) I honestly don't see a reason why you wouldn't make her her own account. Your account probably has credit card stored it, which she could use accidentally (you know, to feed Talking Tom ).
In play store, you can set content filtering, if you're rooted, do go ahead and install adfree (if you haven't already), so it blocks annoying adds (most of them with adult content).
There's soooo many parental apps on play store, that you should just go trough them and see which does what.

here's an useful link
I don't know much about users, but can you make the second user account have less privileges? Like on Windows (admin, user) or linux (root, user)
About pros/cons of using the same account:
- she can access your data (gmail, contacts, talk...) you'd need to disable or password protect all those apps, even if you disable notifications
+ you can access her data (but it will merge with yours)
using her own account:
+ she'll use gmail eventually, might as well have it already
+ you can easily follow her location with latitude (but I wouldn't let her take tablet to school anyway, so doesn't really make a difference)
+ you can send her pretty pictures by gmail and google talk to her, if you so choose (when you're away for few days on a trip for example) - I don't think you can google talk to yourself
+ no worries with using your credit card
+ if she google talks to someone, you won't get all the notifications on your tablet as well
I think there's enough monitoring apps on play store that you can easily let her use her own account, if you trust her of course.
And an honest conversation about responsibility isn't out of place. I'm sure she will understand and also appreciate you trusting her, and she'll have something completely hers.
Of course, you can always go on play.google.com to check what apps she's installing, log in into chrome with her account to see history and bookmarks, see her gmail... You know, to check that someones not harassing here, no other reason
I asked a similar question as both daughters getting them for Xmas ,don't mind them having there own account just want any downloads from play store to request a password first and with set age restricted content in play store.

Yesterday i noticed that for some reason my Google account got unlinked from my Google Play Apps, so i couldn't use any of the Google related stuff. When i tried to re-link/login i got the message "There was a Problem communicating with the Google Servers - Try again later"
So i started scouring the Internet for fixes, of which there are a few but rarely are they applicable to FireOS and they basicly all boil down to "reboot, wipe cache, delete data, reinstall" and so on. Evantually i ended up doing a Factory reset but that made it only worse since now all my Apps are gone except for the ones from the Amazon Store which got saved in the recovery. I reinstalled the Google Play APKs and got again that same error message so i tried creating a new account which went kinda okay until it came to the final login, again that error, however once i closed the Google settings a pop-up offered me to login via Browser and that worked for whatever reason, so at least i got access to the Google Play Store again, but with no access to my App Library. Even more curious, occasionally Google picks up on my Login attempts and i get e-mails with "security warnings" about a new device. Using other devices i can login to Google just fine btw.
Currently i have 3 Theories as to what happened:
1. It just happened randomly, as it appearantly sometimes happens with Android if the Internet is to be believed.
2. A sneaky Update changed something and now the Google Login Auth on my Fire clashes with whatever updated, i assume that based on what is currently happening with the Amazon Netflix App and Google Play.
3. A few days ago i installed WhatsApp (sadly a necessity since it stopped supporting Windows Phone and there are People i need to communicate with via WA) and since Google Play stopped working "shortly" after i'm inclined to assume a correlation. Ironically WhatsApp doesn't work anymore after the reset, it now got connection problems too.
At this point i've pretty much tried all fixes, applicable to FireOS, i could find short of rooting the Fire and modifying the "hosts" file, though i looked at the File, using a root explorer, and it already contains what the Fix said it should contain, so i'm not sure if that would actually help.
I hope someone here has some more ideas on what i could try to get it working again, though i'm already getting used to the idea of having to Flash it in order to get Google Play working again. (kinda a feeling of excited dread and second-guessing the idea, so i'd prefer methods that aren't quite as invasive right now.)

Your Fire tablet have registered with Amazon account that causing all Google services. Try to deregister it and reset to .
Useful methods to install Google apps using Fire toolbox:

Can you protect your Google account by adding phone number in Google account settings.
So i did another Factory Reset, i couldn't get around not login into my Amazon account but this time i skipped restoring the Back-up and it worked, I was able to login into my google account, though that might be because i did it via the GPlay Store which kinda looked like a Browser login, rather than via GPlay Services but it is solved regardless, at least for now. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a few days, but i hope the Problem is solved for good.
