Using custom roms i have noticed that the governor settings aren't as balanced as the ones found on the stock rom.
Can anyone make a backup of them using EX Kernel Manager so that i can use those settings on the RR?
Thanks in andvance

I am on ATT, which doesn't have a custom recovery. Am I able to say download Rom Toolbox and change the kernel settings and underclock the phone and change governor on the stock ROM, or do I need a custom Kernel to do this? Sorry if this is a noob question.

Yes you need a custom kernel
Can anyone advise the best app to adjust settings on the 6p stock kernel? I am using kernal auditor and it seems to work ok. From the app store comments, it looks like Trickster doesn't work well with the 6p? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Any/all should have the same feature set more or less in the stock kernel. I prefer ElementalX and Kernel Aduiter

He said for the stock kernel, not a custom one
I've been trying out different kernel/ROM combinations (PN + ElementalX, Chroma + Franco) and now I'm going to try Kylo kernel and Ubermallow.
My question is about kernel managers. I bought the Franco kernel manager and the ElementalX kernel manager. Can I use those for Kylo? Would you recommend another manager? I downloaded Kernel Auditor.
One thing I really like about ElementalX kernel manager is the ability to change the Governor profile (I used GhostPepper for a while). I'm wondering if the EX Kernel manager can be used for ALL kernels? Is there a way to change governor profiles for Franco kernel manager?

EX Kernel Manager can be used for any kernel.
I am on the latest build of RR with squid's kernel. As its a custom kernel, I am aware that I can tweak the kernel with some apps like kernel toolkit, trickster mod, etc. Can anybody help me with some tweaks using such apps to increase the battery backup?, as it has significantly decreased compared to stock rom (like undervolting, etc).
Thanks in advance

I use greenify and EX Kernel (there are other kernel tools) and have gotten good results.
just went back to miui coming back from custom roms. is it worth installing a custom kernel?
Definitely there is much more to customize like sound control which you cannot with stock kernel and also the cpu frequencies and plenty of other settings to try and see what suits you.I use evira kernel when on stock miui roms.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if you can even install a kernel on global miui
I'll try it out later
Depends on what you want
