Problems with bootlooping after installing TWRP on lg g2 d802 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i've tried rooting and installing root+TWRP over a script on my lg g2 d802 which sent the phone into a boot loop. Then i downloaded a Stock ROM (i didn't find mine so i just chose one from my country) and flashed it on the phone. I then rooted it with some script i found on youtube IOroot, which worked and and proceeded to install TWRP over AutoRec, which worked aswell BUT i was not able to get back into the system because of the phone boot looping again. I was able to go back to TWRP but not into the system itself. So i just reflashed the phone again.
Does anyone know what my mistake is here? I am pretty new to this. Could it be that because i have a different Stock ROM it doesn't work? Tbh, I don't know if i will destroy it by installing a american Stock ROM on a german phone. I've read a lot of tutorials but many are down and most of them lead to AutoRec or this Auto Script from here.
EDIT: Ok, nevermind. I installed some Stock Lollipop ROM and with that everything was pretty easy. Installed LineageOs 15.1, works great.

[Q] ls980 custom ROM loading issues

Currently I am running a LG G2 LS980 4.4.2 zvd. Rooted via stumproot. Twrp rrecovery 2.8.5.1. I also am running affliction custom rom found in the sprint lg g2 section. The problem i am having its that when I try to load a different custom rom I always get stuck in boot loop. I always do a full wipe and factory reset. I have tried liquidsmooth, blisspop, cm12, validus and a couple others, always gets stuck in boot loop. Today i did a full wipe again and installed affliction Rom again and it worked but the others still won't. I have also tried to downgrade my radio to zv8 or zv7 since that has been recommended on some threads i have read, but the files i downloaded off of a link found in here say they are corrupt when i try to load them and it doesn't work.
Does anyone know how to help me?
Hello, it sounds like you might have the wrong bootloader. You need a zv8 radio/modem and a jb bootloader for aosp lollipop ROMs.
So i downloaded zv8 radio zip from a link shared in another thread. Do you know another source for those? How do I change my bootloader? I have tried looking for that but have not had much luck.
Google "LG G2 modem" and the first result should be a xda thread with all the modems for all the modems for all the lg g2 variants. Download the ls980 zv8 modem. For the bootloader you need an app called autorec. Google "LG G2 autorec" and download autorec for the ls980 and run the app. Make sure you have the twrp 2.8.5.1 zip on your device because autorec also installs twrp 2.7.0.0 which is old. Just go to recovery and flash 2.8.5.1 to update twrp.
I will try to get new zip for zv8. Autorec is how i got twrp on my phone. I have upgraded twrp to 2.8.5.1. Although autorec does not show up in my app list currently, maybe when i installed affliction rom that app left by i kept twrp.
So i reinstalled autorec and upgraded twrp to the most current. I also redownloaded the zip for zv8 modems. When i try to install zv8 zip in twrp but it tells me the zip is corrupt and will not load.....

HELP bricked

I rooted with kingroot, it worked and then tried to replace it with supersu using supersume. Everything worked fine. Supersu updated and asked for reboot. So I rebooted the phone and it got stuck at verizon screen. Factory resetted it from recovery menu, still stuck at verizon screen.
LG G2 VS980
No custom recovery
No custom rom
Download mode working
I remember turning USB debugging on but it could be off I'm not sure.
Please help
Fixed it by flashing kitkat kdz file with lg flash tool. (This is my other account, idk why I made the OP one)

TWRP installed, but unable to boot into rom

Hello,
I've installed twrp on my lg g2 802. Using twrp i tried to install lineageos, but on reboot the screen remains black. I see the monitor on but nothing happens. I have to force the reboot. I can still go into recovery but i don't understand where is the problem.
I already tried to wipe everything, and i installed latest nightly of lineageos (no gapps).
Da you have an idea?
I have this same exact problem. I hope a solution is out there!
i installed from a kitkat. Maybe this can be a problem? Should i install lineage from a lollipop?

I got LineageOS to work!
It was a long grind of reading various posts on here and looking up other info on google, but I finally got my phone to run LineageOS.
The three things that I think are key are:
Making sure your phone is starting off with kitkat. I wasn't able to root my phone with lollipop. Stumproot, towelroot, and ioroot all didn't work. Once I downgraded to kitkat, I rooted successfully with ioroot.
After getting TWRP, updating it to 3.1.0. I had to first get an older version and then flash 3.1.0
Change the bootloader to kitkat if it isn't on it already. I used Bootloader Changer.

Hi there, I happen to own the same phone (d855TR, Android 5, v20n-global-si, Kernel stock: 3.4.0) and I've been trying for some days... But today, I have succeeded.
That's how I've got it done, finally:
1.) Root your phone using KingRoot
(I've used version 5.3.8, but the app will anyway update automatically, if you are connected to Wifi)
(I've tried a lot of other rooting strategies, too: LG One Click Root, Towelroot, Stumproot, but for this specific phone, they all failed.)
2.) Install "AutoRec"
(Initially, I left away this step, but this resulted in a "Secure Boot Error" while rebooting and the following steps failed, then. Installing TWRP manually, via official app or via ADB failed at this step, too. But after installing "AutoRec" everything went fine.)
3.) "AutoRec" automatically installs TWRP, but it is an older version (2.8.7.), so you should update TWRP to the latest version.
4.) Having done this, you should be able to install any CustomROM. I've installed LineageOS 16.0 and up to now, everything seems to be O.K.
Basically, I followed this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67602605&postcount=749
(Here you will also find a download link for "AutoRec".)
I applied this guide successfully to the d855TR variant, inspite of the warning in the disclaimer not to use it for any other phone than d855. According to this guide, it was designed for 30b-firmware, but my version was 20n and it worked.
Good luck!

Thank you very much, I will try this.
Initially, I've installed TWRP without the official TWRP App and I managed to install LineageOS 16 as CustomROM. But as I installed the official TWRP App later, strange things happened: Suddenly, I wasn't able any more to boot the system, and only the start of the CustomROM showed up, but then the phone automatically rebooted into recovery (TWRP).
So maybe, it will be safer not to install the TWRP App on the d855TR. TWRP without the "Official TWRP App" is doing fine (after re-installation).
