Who has the AT&T model and converted to the Canadian model? It seems theres a few posts on it but really not a lot of info of experiences.
I know how to use LGUP etc, but its been a general rule to NOT flash wrong model firmwares and I even have to tell people myself in some of my threads But does Antirollback no apply to the AT&T G6? Just flash via uppercut and good to go?
Why would you want to convert to H873?
What are the pro's?
Asking cos I am new to g6 added looking for info if h873 can work ok on At&t USA

The LS997 firmware does give volte. But once done sadly no returning back to AT&T firmware due to lack of having it. https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g6/how-to/convert-upgrade-att-g6-to-h873-oreo-t3791848 I posted a guide awhile back. But no returning if you ever do it.
Talking about my website? Lol I blew the fish up with fireworks. The videos on my site where just tests I never removed [emoji23]
H.Smokes that fish went to hell or heaven in a hand basket! Firework effects look better than some slugs through it. I will check out the vid later.
I am hunting for the US997. A clueless buddy has a US997, he says. He sent me that the unit has LGUS997AUSAPL. How do I make sure this is not the US997U USCellular ver.?

That I’m unsure on how to check for the US.Cellular version. But yeah would avoid it. I currently run US997 firmware on my H871.
Looking at what you posted it seems to be the unlocked version. Might could ask what the IMEI is, it should tell if it is or not.

By flashing the US997 firmware like the H873 firmware. You would just miss WiFi calling if you have att postpaid. I use it on my 2nd line on AT&T prepaid.

So you can just flash us997 fw on h871, no root is needed prior? Is it just kdz flash or is there a specific set of steps? If so, any link?
Also boot loader on h871 is not unlockable so it's limited to stock roms only, custom roms are not flushable, correct?
Do you know if you can flash US997 or any gsm fw on Verizon vs988 same way as for h871?
What about flashing h870fw on h872 t mobile?

Only h871 to LS997 or H873. You’d brick your device if you did. Only T-Mobile firmware for the H872

If you are unlocked and running a global rom, you can try but take the stock kernel boot.img backup just in case it loops. Its best to rewrite all partitions on the T mobile device if you are unlocked which can be done by using the unbrick tool once :good:
Edit: You should follow this thread for a detailed discussion :good:
U may have to change the device check for any op6 kernel...they all boot. I tested every kernel. Flash rules.. And we can't use the tool to rewrite the critical partitions, we don't have access to them..can u please see why we cannot access them even with fastboot oem unlock_critical? We are all totally unlocked

T-Mobile users currently cannot use the unbrick tool to overwrite critical partitions due to a hardware/software check that mismatches.

I'm just hoping someone leaks the ops file for t-mo, since i'm not sure where these files come from to begin with.
So yeah, go for it, you might save us all.

All these files are possessed by the support staff who generally share those during a remote session and there on those are further uploaded. So someone with t-mobile variant can contact support and try getting the tool.
I am on tmo model flashed with international software and run in ex kernel. I did make a backup of stock kernel before hand

Well it appears not all one plus reps are aware of this, one rep said they can, the other is now telling me to contact t-mobile...
Edit: They linked me to the software for a recovery session tomorrow, but clearly it has a password, so guess we'll see come tomorrow what the verdict may be.

Yeah, as the contract is new only the senior executives will have access to the t-mob unbrick tool and it would definitely be encrypted/password protected. Let us know how was your experience and thank your for the heads up :good:
Im on tmobile variant but flashed 9.0.5 rom and rooted. Tried blu spark kernel and it is freakin awesome.

Yea lol, they don't give the tool to you openly.tho, you have to run a keylogger for the password and disconnect before they delete the tool from your PC lmao

Wanting to convert back to the stock T-Mobile branded OOS. Looked around for 40 minutes, and didn't see any help. Is there a way to get the phone back to stock?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-sim-bootloader-unlock-root-t3921795
starts at step 4 by the looks of it
Right on! Step 4 is what he needs to do.

Is there a stable recovery for the t-mobile one plus 7T pro mcclaren 5G device. Is this device easy to sim unlock without using t-mobile's unlock app. And do you see this device having a lot of development meeting a lot of ROMs. Because I like the flash different rounds on me to flash install different roms on my device if possible.I would greatly appreciate any information on these topics. Thanks In advance!!!

No to all the above. Sorry
Trending towards the answer negative... for now.
I'm NOT trying to make duplicate threads if one had already been made, I HAVE searched already for my answer, I am NOT trolling. I am only making this thread/asking because there are multiple different methods to root this phone apparently and none seem to be specific enough for me to feel safe just using it, I've had bad roots before. Now that that's out the way, I have a 6T (A6013) that was originally a T-Mobile branded device but has been unlocked (bootloader and Sim) and converted to the international model and is now running 10.3.0 stable. I would prefer to not lose my data (lots of job related documents and such on my phone) so is there a method I can use for that? If not, what would be the best root option for my specific device?
Also, I don't need TWRP for what I want to do, only rooting so I can have Magisk and get Google Pay working again.
