Hello I just purchased this beauty and it has an unlocked bootlader. I really use Google Pay a lot and would like to relock the bootloader. The problem is that I only have a chromebook and no laptop, can this be done without a PC?

How I root this phone?
hi =) well you have 2 options... you can root it after unlock the bootloader, or root it without unlocking the bootloader. I think this firmware is rootable without the unlocking...
Unlocking bootloader is simply the way to free your phone to install customized roms (like cyanogenmod), and unfortunately SE phones comes with their boot locked.
SE itself provides instructions to unlock the bootloader, but once done, you will lose the DRM (digital rights manager) from trackid and other sony applications on your phone. I've researched the forum and found that there's a safe way to unlock the bootloader using SETool. You can contact Jinx13 here in the forum if you want to. It's a paid method, but at least you'll have an unlocked bl still with the DRM files.
Well, here are some links in the forum that will be useful for you:

And here a video of how the unlocking paid method is done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn-Vubgka1M
You might think that those testpoint stuff are crazy and dangerous, but they're simple. There are special methods to turn on your phone to your computer, as that one you have to keep the "back" button pressed while plug the USB. The testpoints are just like that..

I just got a nexus 7 and am thinking about rooting it. I know that unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty. If you flash a stock image and relock the bootloader after rooting, is there any difference from how the tablet was before rooting? Could I then send it in for a replacement, if it was within the warranty period and it had developed a hardware problem (which wasn't related to rooting)?
Is there any known problem with the nexus that might develop which would prevent me from relocking the bootloader (e.g. problems with the USB port?)
Is there any way to relock the bootloader without a computer?
Thanks and sorry for the nooby questions
If you flash a stock ROM with stock recovery and re-lock the bootloader you should be fine. I've heard that as long as you don't mess with the internal hardware, you should be fine sending back as is, but don't take that as gold because it's just something I've heard.
Not sure on the known problems to be honest. You should be able to use a phone or another tablet to lock your bootloader as long as you can get fastboot installed on it.
Hi friends,
Can anyone tell me is it possible to root oneplus 5 without unlocking the boot loader?
thanks
I never tried this myself. But you can try this.

Looks like it involves ADB after every bootup.
Can I ask why you want / need to.
OnePlus are very good about not caring I'd bootloader is unlocked for warranty purposes and after a year the warranty doesn't matter anyway so what's the risk? You can always relock the bootloader later?
No point in not unlocking the bootloader, 1+ doesn't care about it.
Hi, I need to send my p smart to huawei service due to battery problems.
My phone is rooted with bl unlocked and, it seems, my warranty is void.
If I remove root and relock my bl, my phone will be accepted regardless of the rooting?
Unfortunately no, because the bootloader status is RElock, not lock. Lock bootloader with DC Unlocker, because the program lock bootloader and change status to lock with 4 euro
Ok thanks, that actually seemed the only way.
If I use dc unlock to lock the bl, do you know if it makes my unlock code unusable for a future unlock and root? I mean, if I want to root my phone again, can I use the standard procedure (using my unlock code, twrp and so on) or do I have to use necessarily DC unlock?

Hello,
I have a brand new TA-1116, on Android One 10.
Of course i'd love to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and root it.
It's unclear for me what i should do:
1) downgrade to DRG237B firmware (Anyone can confirm my TA1116 can use this downgrade without risk ?) to go to Orea 8.1
2) order an unlock code (where, please ? i found unlocklocks.com but i don't see the price).
3) go into dev mode to toggle unlock bootloader (mandatory ?)
4) fastboot flash unlock <my_unlock_file>
5) install TWRP fastboot flash recovery <twrp latest>
6) flash magisk from twrp for systemless root
Any advice is welcome
If you can root without Magisk, i'd like too. I need to run titanium backup and get rid of that BABE app (??? wtf Nokia ???) and more apps i don't need.
Thank you VM !
Answer: the downgrade is not possible without unlocked BL.
The unlock service does not need to go back to 07/2018, it is a matter of minutes and everything is left unlocked. Yay !

Hello,
I am very happy when seeing this post. Can you help me to unlock bootloader & root for the Nokia 6.1 plus TA-1116.
My last security patch is 2020-07
Thanks,
Bootloader unlock isn't officially or in a free manner supported, it's a paid service, join the telegram community for the device there are bl unlockers for different time zones contact anyone with your timezone for the service it's approx $6-7
Do not hover over random sites there's been only one site from the beginning that I can't mention here, bootloader unlock and other services, get this job done over telegram and save yourself the hassle.
