changed screen & battery now phone wont boot - stuck in fastboot - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so i dropped my phone a week back and shattered the screen. Bought a new screen with frame off ebay for $35 . Installed it perfectly (or so i thought) but when i tried turning it on i got nothing. I know i had 40% left on the battery but it was now dead. I plugged it in using the original charger and got a white flashing light which i thought was a good thing... but 12 hours of charging did no good. The second i unplugged it the light stopped flashing and it wouldnt power up. there was no key combination i could do to get it to come to life if it was unplugged. While it was plugged in i could get it to flashboot mode...there is said the battery was low... but if i pressed the start button nothing would happen, pressing the recovery button, nothing would happen... only the power off button worked which just powered the phone off returning to the white pulsing led. Side note, it also said software status: modified. This was a refurbished phone Motorola sent me for $150 after i sent my phone in for a busted usb charging port. My original phone nor this one was ever been modified... never unlocked my bootloader and never messed around with rooting either of them.... why does it say modified then?
anyway, i then tried pluggin it into the computer and it comes up as an "other device" labeled "Fastboot Clark S". oddly enough plugged into the computer it shows battery is OK and charging. (but when id plug it back into the wall it returned to the batteryt status as low".. i assume the battery must have gone bad somehow cuz why wont it hold the charge? i left it plugged in the computer for 6 hours hoping it would do something, but the second i unplugged it it went black. Key combos didnt work... only thing i could get to was this fastboot screen. I then recalled i had purchased a replacement battery for my previous phone but never used it because shortly thereafter had the USB port issue. SO i pulled the phone apart again, replaced the battery ensuring everything was connected properly (least i knew the screen worked) put it all back together... same thing. Tried charging on through the computer, through the original wall charger... nothing.
i downloaded the minimal adb and fastboot and ran fastboot getvar all(not because i knew to do that, i just read about it in a posting i had seen here) and this was the output....

Can't get past fastboot (XT1575)

So I just got one of these off my friend and I'm trying to get it up and running. I can't currently get past boot. If I let it go it boot loops, if I boot into recovery it boot loops... if I do anything other than "Boot loader logs", QR Codes or Restart bootloader it bootloops. I've spent the last 2 hours trying to find a solution around but I'm not finding anything close to what I need. I've tried the return to stock tool in the development section. It gets a bunch of errors when it's trying to flash stuff (Remote Failures). I can post that code if needed. I can get into fastboot but nowhere past it. I think the problem may stem from me having a locked bootloader (it's unable to be unlocked, already tried that on Moto's site). Is there any way I can unbrick this thing?
EDIT: Had formatting wrong on the unlock code. it is eligible. Waiting on the code now.
EDIT 2: Can't unlock because Allow OEM Unlock isn't on in dev options... but I can't get to dev options since I can't get into the OS... -.-
EDIT 3: Reading around it seems like I SHOULD be able to flash stock firmware even with a locked bootloader so long as it passes preflash verification. I've downloaded 18-8, 18-4 and 18_cid7 from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=44735 which is where the official Motorola builds are hosted. None of them have passed preflash verification.

Which, if I'm reading right says the current version is 18-8. Is it possibly due to carrier that it's not flashing?
Last Edit: Alright I give up. I've downloaded every one off the official page, over 7GB of images total. Not a single one passes pre-flash verification. This is so aggravating. If anyone could point me in SOME direction at all so I don't lose my mind I'd be forever greatful. I've filed for a warranty, fully expecting this to be unfixable. Will be sending it Monday.
This is your version:

You have to wait for it or Nougat(flashable).
With locked BL you cannot do anything except warranty repair.
@TraMaI
Ps.
Retus - cid9 is for you.
So basically I have to wait for a version they haven't put out yet? How long does it usually take for them to post them?
Use the retus 18-8 version, do not flash bootloader.img or gpt.bin but continue through everything else.
Will probably bootloop first time, boot into recovery (after flashing it) and perform a factory reset, then reboot and give it a minimum 20 minutes.
BTW, Factory Reset Protection is active "(bootloader) frp-state: protected (75)", so you will need the last Google account used on that device to access it... otherwise it's a brick.

xt1642 detected as moto g4 instead of g4+

Hello,
I have a big problem, my fingerprint and dual sim is not working anymore on stock. The device detects my phone as a G4 not G4 Plus.
I have tried many firmwares but it all seems to make no difference.

No solution that works has been found yet. It pretty much has always boiled down to a trip to the service center.
Same issue here but with an xt1644. I got this after trying to reflash stock N running the same fastboot script that I originally upgraded to nougat on. Reverted to stock M, restored TWRP backups - no success - so it doesn't seem software related - at least not on any of the partitions that successfully flash. gpt.bin gives errors when trying to flash downgrade as does the bootloader so maybe it is related to these partitions if it is software. The march security update messes with the bootloader I believe.
If anyone has taken their phone to a service center, was there any indication on what they do to fix it? codGmer - what did you do just before this issue appeared?
I've tried to get back to stock and didn't know about flashing gpt.bin and bootloader.img could break the system. So I flashed those and after that my device wouldn't boot anymore and after I got it working again my fingerprint function was gone.
I just send my phone out to repair where I bought it. I have bricked my bootloader with some qualcom tool so the phone wouldn't boot anymore just flashing light to fake the device being broken by faulty hardware. Also the Costs of returning unrepaired to me will be paid for me.

Cannot unlock relocked bootloader

The title says it all.
When i run the fastboot oem unlock <unique id> command,
it shows status 7 error.
cant get unlock data either. please help how do i unlock bootloader again
Have you booted the device into the operating system completely and gone into the Developer options re-enabled OEM Unlocking?
If that isn't it, unfortunately we have seen this in a small number of Moto devices (less than 1% I would say)... Once they are unlocked, then relocked, something happens and they can't be unlocked again. Sometimes after an OTA update is successfully applied they can be, but that isn't consistent either. Been an occasional problem with all retail Moto devices since the first Moto G & X models released in late 2013.
Out of curiosity... can you provide the output of "fastboot getvar all" and mask out your IMEI/MEID?

Yes, OEM Unlocking is enabled!
Damn, this is a very unlucky case I guess. I can't get my IMEI numbers up, and hence no SIM detection for me. I relocked the bootloader and gave it in for repairs at Moto, they said they won't cover it under warranty and quoted 80% of G5+'s retail price to install a new motherboard and get it fixed. So, I thought I would flash Pixel Experience 8.1 and flash stock modem as suggested by others, so tried to unlock it, and can't seem to get it unlocked. Meanwhile I have tried flashing stock fastboot files, but can't get IMEI to return. Is there any other solution?

Same issue
Hi brother, I have the same problem which you were facing. Please suggest me some solution for this kind of issue if you had solved with your device. I did not find any solution till now feeling sad ..Kindly help me bro..
Thanks
Could be worse, mine is greyed out no matter what I fastboot. I tried my original firmware for my EU device and all the way up to the latest, always grayed out. You win Lenovo, I quit messing with my android devices after this one, this device has been a total mess. All my issues began with 64bit Roms.

I have fixed devices in a worse situation than this. But this truly beats an enthusiastic child out of me. Well done Lenovo indeed! I think Lenovo Service Center blocks the unlock key once submitted for repairing for which they ask 75% of the cost.

MOTO Z Force Not Charging And No Service

Hi guys
So I had this phone for like 4 years and it was working fine till it battery got damaged and I replaced battery
After that it was working normally but it wouldn't charge the phone when the phone was off! My phone turned on everytime I plugged the charger in... But I didn't mind looked fine to me
Until last week that I forgot to charge my phone and got 0% and turned off! When I tried to charge it for hours it still showed 0% of charge! And something new came app called cqatest app and there was no network service! I don't recall exactly what I've done but somehow I used to solve this problem...
But the other day I dropped my phone on my bed which is a soft surface and it wasn't my first time doing it and didn't throw it from a long distance (1 ft)... Then the problem came back and now I can't solve it. I tried everything and every single method on this forum or other forums... And I can't take my phone to any repair shop because of this corona-virus situation...
ps: My phone turns on with its turbo charger but not charging and it show no service. As soon as I unplug the charger it turns off no matter how long been charging. I can go to bootloader but when chose Recovery Mode it show the moto logo for 1 second and turns off . In bootloader I can see Battery : OK (in green)

I don't see anything wrong there.
You could flash firmware with mfastboot
download newest firmware here
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/VZW/
or if LMSA downloaded firmware you can use that.
see

Moto G6 Plus OEM LOCKED ¿BRICKED?

Hi im new on this forum...lets jump the the problems. (sorry i got the verbs wrong, im not english native speaker)
1st problem: cannot enter in recovery (if i select the option the phone turn off and the led starts blinking)
2st problem: cannot flash stock rom/firmware because the phone wont turn on. (already tried to flash with oem locked but give me errors linked to the oem)
3st problem: the phone didnt charge but the leds blinking, already disconnected the battery, plugged the phone then reconnect the battery, this only give me the "lightining" icon but doesnt charge. if i press the power button shows me the "lightining" likes if is charging
I dont know what to do anymore, with the oem locked i cant flash anything, its giving me headaches...thanks for reading, hope i find the solution
Update: (this is the error i got, already know its from oem, plus when finished the phone just goes off, and didnt charge, only led blink)
(bootloader) WARNING: OEM images are required in the LOCKED state.
(bootloader) Flashing images can result in a non-boot condition.
(bootloader) Flash a proper OEM signed boot.img first.

(bootloader) flash permission denied

Update yesterday i found reading here how to get the correct version of the rom stock, and already flashed it.
the phone wont charge (only appears the lightning icon but never increase or show "%") wont turn on, and didnt enter in recovery mode. i thinks its problem of the battery beacuse i buy new one and doesnt fit at all in the phone (it lacks 1cm) (also the battery is 3010mAh, and g6plus is 3200mAh i think)
Anyways here what you asked for Again sorry for my bad english.
