Alerts not showing when in lock mode. - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Got my 6t last week and noticed that it I get a txt or email when the phone is locked it does light up or show it until I pick it up. You can hear the sound but I thought it would show on the lock screen? Is this right or have I got a setting wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try:
Settings \ Security & Lock Screen \ Lock Screen PReferences \ On Lock Screen\
There, choose "Show All Notification Content"
Please hit thanks if this helps.

Thanks for the reply but show all notification content is selected but still doesn't wake it up

Mystery vibration

Just got a TD 2. Really love it after using Eten M600 for years.
But, somethings got me stumped. Frequently the device vibrates for a few seconds without any connection to an obvious event. I've checked that the phone ringer is not set on vibrate. I also checked sound & notifications - theres no event that I can see set to vibrate. After it happens, I check the notifications - and there is no event listed there.
So what is causing this to happen?

does it vibrate when u touch the dispaly?
No, just vibrates for no apparent reason.
No calls or events or notifications.
There must be a cause - I just cannot think what it could be.

No Date on Lock screen - SOLVED

Hi Guys,
i cannot get the date displayed on the lock screen, anything i can do about this?
I just got my Galaxy S4, the date has gone missing from my lock screen clock. Now it only shows the actual time but no date at all.
I didn't purposedly disable it or anything. I just wanted to remove the personal text. So i go to the options, and select clock only. But now the date is gone as well.
Re-enabling the personal text won't work. Changing clock size doesn't work either. Changing the type of lock doesn't work. I tried all of them. Face unlock, pattern, pin, and so on. I really can't enable it.
And of course i checked that the date option is enabled. Theres a checkbox for the date alone. But this does absolutely nothing in this case.
I know it's just a small thing... But it just looks kinda stupid, that only the clock is displayed. Only things i changed on the lock screen, are the picture, and removed the personal message. Oh and added the pattern lock feature.
Phones brand new and just released. So finding advice is really difficult. So hoping this might help!
SOLUTION:
Go to: Date and time setting, change the date format, anything, check the lock screen, change back the date format if you wish to. Never give up

Bump again...
Help pleaseee..
check to see if the date comes back if you use another lockscreen other then pattern lock. If does work on another screen, you have to wait for an update to address the problem.
If does not then there is an issue that may be address by newer firmware.
No luck, already try the pin and the pattern now back to swype which is no lock, still no date....
Hi.
I had the same problem. I solved it by setting up the alarm. I should bring it back. You can then turn off the alarm if you don't need it. But make sure that you turn off the alarm first if it is on and then turn it on.
Hope this helps

Have you checked Settings-My device-Lock screen-Lock screen widgets- show date. Then hold down the power button, hit Restart. See if that works

[Q] Note 3 Keeps beeping every 5 Minutes

I just got my phone on Thursday and everything seems to work fine with the exception that I get the default beep of it every 5 minutes but without any visual notifications.
This is what I have done so far to remedy the problem:
- Uninstalled/Deleted the email app(since there is a similar problem on the GS3)
- went through every menu on the settings menu and found nothing
- changed the default sound - the beep changed the sound as well
- went into task manager and looked which apps could cause the issue
- went through gmail settings and looked if it is found there
Any help would be really appreciated since this is driving me nuts.

I appreciate you help but I also have this problem with my Note 3 and I am getting this sound when I have not received any message of any sort!
I have spent ages going round and round in configurations but the only setting I have found is in "accessibility" and that allows you to switch off notifications. I understand that this will only stop the reminder from sounding when I actually have a message but this is very useful so I wouldn't like to lose this feature.
Can you give me any help and also show me hoe to get to the screens you suggest.
Thanks
I have to say why do we even have that button? Lol

It's under Acessibility, in the Vision section. It shoes "Notification Reminder" and when you activate it...you get a beep every 5 minutes if there is a notification.

[N] - Notification help

Backstory: I don't use the stock android alarm clock because when I am half asleep I can't figure out what icon snoozes and what icon dismisses so I often dismiss my alarm and go back to sleep... no bueno.
Solution: I have always used circle alarm. It has features that I really like but is now due for a visual refresh.
Problem after Nougat upgrade: I have do not disturb modes setup for when I am sleeping. I tried to increase the notification permissions for the app to allow the alarm to go off but when I go to Settings > Apps > Circle Alarm > Notifications, the slider is disabled and says "App determines importance for each notification", so it is stuck on level 3. I have the setting "Override Do Not Disturb" enabled. Driving me crazy and have been late to work the last few days because of it SMH.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
when you go to its setting, tap on 'A' circle icon, it should then enable the slider.

I am an idiot. You are a genius. Cannot believe I didn't think to click that. Didn't even notice it was there to be honest lol. I blame it on the sender labels in gmail that serve no real purpose.
Worked like a charm though, thanks! Will test the alarm this weekend to see how it does
I actually found it by accident lol.
I had a notification that would cause an app to force close when it was set higher than the third slider. Just happened to hit it one day accidentally while adjusting.
/me shrugs.
Glad it helped you out!
Somewhat related note/question...
Has anyone on N had issues with Quick Reply specifically with Hangouts? All my other quick reply compatible apps works perfectly, but hangouts fails to send 70% of the time.

I am able to access the slider and change the settings. However, no matter which setting I apply I still have the peek notification on my screen. All of the other features of the slider work (lock screen behavior, sound, vibration, etc.). For some reason I cannot disable the peeking. At this point I am just curious if I am missing something. I can live with it as is, but just has my curiosity up. Thanks.
Press the "A" button to Edit the Importance level of Notofications. So intuitive, yet it would have taken me forever to figure this out. Thanks!

Hi, have you checked the settings to make sure it's not silent? Check my screen shot. You'd have to tap where it says silent.

Is there a "Do Not Disturb" setting in Sounds and Notifications? I don't have mine yet, so I can't check for myself. but that has tripped my up a few times on my HTC 10.
If Do Not Disturb is not on, look for a setting called "Smart settings".... it is under General > Smart Functions [Label] > Smart Settings.... if you set the home screen settings to enable the Smart Bulletin Screen you can also get to it from there
Appreciate the replies folks..I just downloaded Textra, but the stock messaging App is still silenced
Same problem

I figured it would be a matter of time before someone else chimed in with the same problem..I still haven't found a solution other than a new app for messaging..
Went to t mobile today. They did a warranty swap for.me. LG told.me.to.send it to them for as service after factory reset did not work.

Maybe I'll do the same cause I'd rather not use textra
This is a feature of android 7.0. When you receive the message, swipe down from the top to show your notifications, press and hold the messaging notification and then you should get an option to select that states Don't silence. It's probably set to Show Notifications silently.
Thank you sir!!
