Please try exFAT on this test version. Waiting for report :fingers-crossed:
Hi,
I'll try the exFAT support when I reformat my current SDCard. However I can confirm that this beta kernel with exFAT support works and "cat /proc/filesystems" returns exfat.
Now, another suggestion: The ZRAM support in the Mediatek kernels is hardcoded in size. If you review the file "/kernel/drivers/staging/zram/zram_sysfs.c" you can note the comment "/* Fix disksize */". In the initialization is used the constant "default_disksize_perc_ram" that is fixed to 50% of RAM in the file "zram_drv.h". I suggest to change the default value to 25 (orignal value from Google developers). I can't understand why Mediatek has hardcoded this value. This creates the ZRAM totally useless!
Please, can you change this value and recompile the kernel?
Thank you!

Thanks for test!
Google maintains the same config. You can see here:
kernel/mediatek/+/android-4.4.4_r4/drivers/staging/zram/zram_drv.h
Also Siddhesh.K15 disable zram (battery drain). But I can make a test version.
Hi,
This repository has the MEDIATEK sources, from Mediatek, not Google or Wiko. So it's this company who has included this hardcoded size of ZRAM. My problem is that with 50% of 1GB RAM the ZRAM size is 512MB compressed (with 3:1 it's around 200MB of RAM). This is a lot of memory. I suggest to change this value to 25% of physical RAM, not 50% as now. It's only one line of code! If the user don't use ZRAM (disabled by default), nothing changes, but when s/he enables ZRAM, the new size will be more interesting. I feel Mediatek fixed the value thinking on devices with 512MB of RAM, not 1GB. Also, I'm sure that all devices with Android 4.4 and Mediatek CPUs have this "bug"!
I hope, someone in the future eliminates this restriction.
Regards!

i think we have to compile it ourselves.
Having in mind the fact that 99% of us won't even dare to think about installing a kernel compiled by ourselves, is there a chance for someone more experimented to compile this kernel for all 3 versions?
I personally only need the lte version, but...
Thank you in advance.
Can not compile (newbie)
I would love to test this kernel and give feedback but I have no knowledge on how to compile. What's the chances on someone doing this with experience? I'm after the LTE version myself, I'm excited for a new kernel to play with. Or maybe someone can send meva walk through guide on his to compile.
Thanks in advance ☺
Has anyone tried it yet?

Could you update the OP so we all know what we are waiting for, change (stable) to its current title etc etc, all I'm seeing is disinterest in this thread. Maybe release a pre-release version so someone else can help you, there is no point to compile this myself or I might as well start my own thread.
Looking forward to your clarification and thanks in advance.

Q: I couldn't install apps from play store.
A: Wait for play services/play store to update.
Q: Root is not working, why?
A: Root is working fine. After flashing the Kernel just flash an Su zip (Super Su or another one).
Q: Camera n7 has only Auto mode?
A: Camera pro mode is also available if you just delete in /system/priv-app the "ShootingModeProvider" file and restart the phone.
Q: I'm having problem to see my pictures in the gallery, how to solve it?
A: There are two ways to solve this problem, at least until the dev posts the new version:
1. The ''Safe" way by : downloading a different version and manually installed it (make a backup of the file before and then just replace it manually..)
2. The ''Easy'' way by : flashing the fix mentioned here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70530079&postcount=32
Q:Soundalive is not working, how to solve it?
A:It can be solved by replacing SoundAlive_40.apk in system/ priv-app with a different version.
Also for Adapt_Sound, the Hearingdro_52.apk need to replaced.
The right permissions must be set.
*Alternatively, you can install Viper or Aryamod on a permissive kernel instead of using Soundalive -link-*
(Thanks to @callumbr1 & @Graamsence & @Benny Bosser )

A: To turn off torch light use quick tools from edge panel. It's a "feature!" would have say steve Jobs
Q: How to enable Manual call recordings?
A: You can follow the instructions of the following post from @Strider72 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70545588&postcount=55
Q: Do you have multiple fonts in this ROM?
A: YES!
Q: Can i install Xposed on RamROM N7?
A: Yes, you can flash Xposed v87.1 by wanam and install Xposed installer 3.0_Alpha4.apk
But remember : Don't report any bugs in the main dev thread if you are running Xposed on your device
Q: Who is hidden behind this RAM ROM TEAM?
A: There is no RamROM team only Ram, that's why the name is ROM of Ram that is RamROM

You have a N9100 Dual sim not a SM-910G/F/T/P/V/W8
So you can try to install it with a N9100 Dual Sim Kernel and a data Fix + Super SU. If it's working on your device, you will be lucky and if not, you can't complain mate
because it's written nowhere that this Rom is compatible with your device. Have you ever try to flash an Exynos rom on your Device?:silly:

using 910G / RamRom N7_V1 / Kernel v5 enforcing / Govtuner 3.8
Anyone know if snapchat works with this ROM. Mine currently isn't. Is there a fix or is it down to safety net?

I can see by the number of your posts that you are an experienced user and i'm not using Snapshot as i already told you in the other thread but i'll try to help anyway (So don't see any offense in my questions):
1/ Did you flash clean the rom ?
2/ Did you restore your snapchat from Titatnium backup or you did do a fresh install?
3/ What variant of 910 are you on?
4/ What Ram kernel version are you using right now ? Permissive/Enforcing?

Its okay... my first few weeks with my note 4 and had nothing but trouble so far haha, but looks like things are sorted.
1- yes i did full wipe and clean flash. Wiped system, data, cache, dalvik, storage
2- no restore of snapchat. Fresh install from play store.
3- N910F
4- Ramkernel v5 permissive.
Before today i had stock rooted rom with ram kernel v4 and all was fine.
I have heard before when i had a note 7 rom for my s6 edge that snapchat also uses safety net like pokemon go which can prevent it from working. Not sure if this is correct.
Thanks for your help
Hello,
Seems all these N7 ports have huge battery drains. Tried many and this rom is no exception.
Anyways this is a very stable rom, grt work.
Thanks

Hi mate! Sorry for the delay of my answer, i had a weird problem with XDA forum (Couldn't see the recents posts and i gave up after sometimes).
-Your problem might be related to the kernel, you may try to flash the Kernel V5 Enforcing for 910F Wihtout SuperSu 1st and see if Snapchat works
-Then you can try to flash Supersu and see if it still work despite of the root.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/orig-development/kernel-ramkernel-t3472138
I'm running Ram Kernel V5 Enforcing for 910G without any extra troubles.

At the first boot of the 1st install of a new rom it's normal that the battery drains more i think.
I had around 16H battery with 100% on my first install of the rom with Govtuner 3.9.1 (Set on battery mode)
Now i have used 83% of my battery in almost 20H with Govtuner 3.8 (Set on battery mode). Which is better. I'll post some screenshot soon.
I attached some screenshots of GSAM & Kernel Audiutor
Edit: Waow! I could see recent changes in the dev's github and we can see that Synapse support is coming. Great!

No problem, it was just stock ROM, rooted with ram kernel v4. I think ill keep it as it is i would much rather have the ROM than snapchat to be honest
Xposed v87.1
Xposed by wanam V87.1 is working fine with RamROM_N7 V1 :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...ds-cse&usg=AFQjCNHeZbdRr-zu9egpAEFJCuvTfcnt6Q
P.S : You need to disable/enable download in the Xposed settings to get download work.
But remember : DO NOT report any bugs in the main dev thread if you are running Xposed on your device!
wifi hotspot not working. I tried everything ex. like changing boolader and modem. Unfortunately. My device is N910F. But it is working on reddragon, nemesis, norma roms.
