I have seen this rom before, what makes it different than any ROM out right now? What's it built with? Features? Optimizations? Is it based on lineage or AOSP?
AOSP based. I added a pic of the ABC settings...there you can see it has enough customizations but it's not a kitchen sink ROM. If you read ezio's post he thanks DU so I presume ABC Taimen has bits from DU.
What I like about ABC...it's reliable...I never have problems...so far...lol...and that goes for the previous phone that's I've used ABC on.
It has all the customizations I want....again not a kitchen sink...it may be missing something you like.
FYI I do like other ROMs and have different ROMs on my other devices like my tablet uses CRDroid and my old S5 I turned into an mp3 player and it used LOS with MircoG....I'm not saying ABC is the greatest and will make your phone transform into a pixel 10 but for me it works and I trust it. I've flashed some of the others in the P2XL ROM section but I like ABC so far....I may flash something else to test but I have a feeling I've found my daily driver.
I just wanted to let the community know about a ROM that isn't in the main P2XL ROM section.

That’s the dumbest question I’ve ever heard in my life. Battery life is dependent on your personal use, apps etc. ROM has little to do with it.

What is and it's not working in this ROM? All Pixel features working? Thanks
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Everything is working for me....in the ABC thread Ezio's posted "there are some refresh issues for lockscreen/ambient weather and nowplaying on the first build, so if you face them don't worry, it's fixed for the next one"
Other than that I haven't found any problems. Everything I use is working and working well.

Like @op says, everything works but the "Now Playing" feature, but as the Rom gets updated,
they usually get fixed. Try it, you'll like it.
This ROM has been rock solid so far, only issue for me though is the device theme keeps resetting back to white randomly or on a reboot and have also had a few settings, only noticed in developer settings so far, that won't stay when changed and revert on a reboot as well. Anyone else experiencing something similar or should a try a clean install again?

The ROM is and will be like ezio84 cooks it - I am just using his build script.
I am not considering feature requests. The only things I add are German strings for the
extra features and another bootanimation (which will possibly get official).

OK so I been searching around for custom recent app mods. The closest thing I came to was recent mods for the gnex and of course they don't work for the n4's. It would be pretty awesome ifwe had such mods. I am reaching out to any themers and devs who could possibly create one for aosp, pa, cm10.1 and aokp 4.2.2 based ROMs on our nexus 4. ok so i flashed the mod on my current setup. No flashed mods or tweaks. I got a force close on systemui evertime i pressed the recent menu button.
Then i tried a clean install and got stuck at the bootanimation.

Also it should be noted that Carbon is now 4.4.3 so make sure folks your GAPPS are 4.4.3.

The GAPPS you linked to was giving me a TON of force close issues upon first boot. So I switched to the more generic ones here and they are working fine so far. I'm using the standard GAPPS which is more than enough for my needs when it comes to GAPPS. Anything I need beyond that like Maps I can grab from Play Store easily.

THANKS
Thanks,
Seems to work pretty smoothly. No problems yet. Even GPS locks immediately...
Ill report any problems..

I did notice lag issues with trying to use multiple widgets on the home screen. In particular in my case I tried using HD Widgets and PowerAMP. Now to be fair this might be in the Carbon ROM 4.4.3 source so who knows.
I used the standard 4.4.3 gapps provided in the Mad's link. Seems to be working fine.
Just wondering, and I searched but couldnt find the answer, how do we remove the google search bar from the desktop?
Thanks!

Nope, the Sero still has lots of XDA goodness ahead of it. @randomblame is working on taktiK ROMs built off of 4.4.4, @davepmer still has CM11 and OmniROM actively in development, I'm building PAC-ROM for 4.4.4 and I'm also working on Ubuntu Touch. @dolorespark also has AOSP 4.4.2 (and an experimental 4.4.3) built, and I'm running it right now. It's by far the most stable ROM, the only bugs being with the GPS having locking issues and GravityBox brightness settings (which I believe was fixed with a GravityBox update lately)

Thanks bud! I was trying to download this but couldn't figure out the Chinese captcha after i verified my email.
Here are some things I have found after flashing
- Built in root doesn't work for me. Had to flash supersu 2.50 beta.
- Titanium backup crashes
- Camera will launch, but once your try to take picture, it says cannot connect to camera
- Location tile is very iffy. Seems to work sometimes, and not others
- CM file manager does not work
- Can't browse files on computer
These are my quick findings, if I find more, I'll update.

You mean AOSP Paradox? If so, I would have to say no. I haven't flashed that rom, but from what I've read, NFC is stuck to on, wifi makes phone reboot, and RIL doesn't work (won't detect SIM card). All these things work on this CM13 rom.

I never ran the exp. build. Requires way too many tweaks to get things working for my liking. I will say I have been running the original CM13 build posted for about a hour or so now and everything has been stable so far. I listed the small bugs I have found so far in my previous post.

I have updated my github with my latest changes.
No sim card atm because "stk" is not include in frameworks (overlay).
Status bar works with my second build, but not parameters.
I haven't tried a lot the ROM, i make debug at boot up.
We must wait a little to have a working phone (just a doubt for RIL).
Remember: no support! No help (ATM)

-Properties are accessibles
-ALSA kernel drivers must be updated
-i must test/debug anymore, but without wifi it's hard

No supports = no informations (cf first post)
It's just a preview, not for all day uses.
Cyanogen hasn't pushed all theirs codes in N!
To see all changes, looks on cyanogen review website. I have made change into kernel (see my git), and revert back many things to have sdcard working (and it works) next build will have wifi ( i hope ).
I concentrate my effort on hardware compatibility with N ATM.

Because i have:
A familly (3 daugters)
A work
Lots of projets in progress.
And to finish, it's just a hobby!
I have not many times to work on CM, and less to work with a team.
I work on the rom in transport, on my phone by ssh connections with my server

You think working alone on the same bugs is batter then work in the team.
Everybody can spend the time that he has.
If you have real interesting to make all working, that is nothing to dissuade.

I understand you feeling but do you best friend
I'm just curious, how is media in this rom? Can browsers run videos? Does it have the same problems as mm currently have?
I know it's a preview but I'm talking here about the MM bugs. Are they in N too?
Thank you very much.

Been runing it for days and amazingly havent found a single one yet. Although there are a few features i havent can't test..... (f2fs, tethering, hotspot, Volte) RIL, A2dp, (bluetooth) Wifi (superfast connect-no drops) mirroring/cast OMS V4A (arise 2.4) assistant (out the box) all working as they should no echo for me or other party on ear or speaker. In call volume could use a little nudge im deaf AF but totally useable as Daily. Built in Wakelock blocking and greenify and ive had no drains at all (flashed SR3 but SuperSU is included)

I didn't try to insult you, I was just making sure. There's a ton of threads open in the Development Section that steal developer's work. My apologies if it came off the wrong way.
Ouh yeah again here a big thanks to Fox and dabug who bring up this with a lot oft work and so much love for the op3 and the Android scene !.
Small bug report lockcscreen centerscreen shortcuts icons dissappear after reboot. There still there and fully functioning there just dashes. Going back into settings>owlsnest>lockscreen>shortcuts>centerscreen shortcuts and editing (i.e deleting a shortcut and replacing again) fixes issue (this was a bug in early RR also) thx
