LS997{Sprint}TWRP stock backup boot,system and data images needed

Does someone has them please PM me I will give you credit$ because I'm in dead end with unusable anymore ls997 device.
I have lost my backup (pre-santa pre-rooting pre-custom roms) it was on my sd card which I formated after a while not thinking.
later I did other mistakes: on my dirty santa rooted ls997 I flashed LS997-deODEXd-signed. All fine but than because in software info it said US996 (yes because of the bootloader) I went for stock us996 10f .kdz using uppercut which didn't stop me because it recognised the device as us996. us996 .kdz rom removed root and twrp, all was fine except I got no service (all type of networks). phone recognises the sim card, but that's that no more (even manual setting the apns and manual choosing the network(can't be retrieved) even 112 and 911 won't work. Than I went re-rooted and re-flashed LS997-deODEXd-signed again, but my service was gone there as well (previously okey). tried other ls997 custom roms, in all of them service was gone. I guess I can fix that with twrp recovory of original stock backup files (mine I deleted by acc). I will give credits to anyone helps me.

You probably need to flash the radio from Sprint using dd

I flashed (wrong) modem.img via twrp->install successfully. Big mistake as I ended up stuck in (attached photo) green screen after lg logo. Twrp still works, also adb still works when I hit volume down + plug the type-c cable in. Tried fastboot erase system than fastboot flash recovory twrp.img than from twrp flashed 1)twrp flashed other custom rom-no success(green screen still there after flash->reboot->lg logo) 2)flashed twrp backup I created the other day (only boot & system were ticked when I created the backup, they are from working status with custom LS997-deODEXd-signed as it is the same rom on my 2nd working v20) - 2) also went not successfull
3) opened uppercut on my pc but it recognises my device's port but version is uknown therefor can't use uppercut(it won't start because unkown version, pre-issues it worked, also on my 2nd v20 works but I suppose rom must be ok and booted in order uppercut to starts and gets the version of device).
4) I'm stuck. If you did flash radio then i would try to flash the radio but i have never seen the green screen

If your device has a kdz, you can extract everything from it and flash accordingly. Or I think there is a fix for the unknown thing. My device does it as well.. There are dll files you need to get it to work.

I have kdz but can't fix the unknown thing which doesn't let me in the uppercut/lgup window in the 1st place nah

He dosnt have a sprint kdz. Im asusimg hes talking the us996 kdz. Why you would have hit the sprint ls997 with the us996 kdz is unknown to me.. The sprint kdz is not avalible and the version that was leaked isnt in circulation and is encrypted.

The kdz i assume replaced your custom aboot. And the radio and modems all got swapped with us996 the unlocked version i hope and not tmobile variant.
I have full backups but parts contain things like ur esn imei and cant be shared.. Need more info on what is what. The green sceen is a big issue. Thats aboot crash

Maybe you lost the phone's EFS/IMEI file folder, Did you check that?

yes I used us996 .kdz. Im willing to do it again in order to undo the green screen and unbrick my phone.
your words seems legit yes I assume the us996 replacaed radio and modems that's why I got no service. BUT all else was working, no green screen. AFter that I flashed h918 modem.img using twrp->install->choosed modem.img->swipe to install. Only than I got stuck with the green screen and no re-flash helped. Tried twrp restore with 5gb backup fom us995 nrd90m stockimage (system,boot,chace) with no result - again green screen after lg logo.
If I can get uppercut/lgup reading my phone version again (with dd command and changing dll) I will swap back us996 kdz which was fine (than re-root re-flash twrp and custom rom - all back to square 1). us996 kdz is fine it did not make the green screen, booting h918 modem.img after that through twrp did it. us996 kdz only swapped my radio and modem therefor got no service but that's it no more harm.
I was in the US only temporary, now Im in europe using my tmobile(usa) on roaming(not for long I don't need my us number anymore) and european sim card on my 2nd v20. Therefor I don't really care anymore for my ESNs

Well, i think you have to check on Settings> About phone> Status and here it shows the phone's imei number, if you only see "000000000000000" then your phone does not have the EFS folder, then you have to fix that....

I checked, it's fine, imei is ok - the actual and full one
Update: I'm considering buying another clean ls997 sprint v20 since mine are both rooted etc. My Q is how can I extract the .kdz from the new clean sprint v20 unit ? (As I noted even with full twrp backup images the green screen is not fixed it's deeper issue maybe .kdz will fix it hopefully). I don't mind sharing the sprint .kdz afterwards since I will not use the phone in the US anymore anyways.

The kdz has to be leaked from Sprint....The only one that got leaked wss encrypted and we can't use it...the only way to get it flashed to stock is at a Sprint store unfortunately...it sucks

Lol... As you learned, cross flashing radios is a great way to brick. Also, never flash a radio through DD unless you are 10000% sure you know what every part of what you are doing does, and how it works.
Here is your problem. Your baseband (radio) partition is supposed to be a certain size... However, upon flashing a wrong image, with a low-level tool (DD), the partition is now corrupt and/or mis-sized. That means that another partition is overlapped by radio, or a part of radio is overlapped by another partition.
If you somehow get a KDZ to flash, it may or may not fix it.
The only way to fix this, would be with a very low-level tool, to manually repartition everything in pristine condition. If KDZ does that, then great. If not, then there is really not much you can do.

I'm trying my best to get the KDZ to flash, but it won't let me. Download mode on thehpne successfull, from there on - not.
Please recommend me some workshop where they can fix this green screen and get me going. It's sprint bad esn lg v20 should I contact Sprint and tell them I rooted and soft bricked and can they get me back to stock and charge me for this service that's fine ofcourse ? I can ship it asap since now it's just 350$ piece of shiny plastic in a box.

i get the impression that you didnt actually read the OP's post.
he has a kernel panic, and is unable to get his phone to boot android. the green screen in the very first post indicates as such.
in a small nutshell, OP flashed a file to a place that it should not have been flashed to. most likely, OP has given him/her self a really expensive doorstop.
unfortunate, but a lesson can be learned here. expensive and avoidable, unfortunately.

LG 20 H910-10Q to US996

My phone is a unlocked at&t h910-10q can I flash US996 Firmware on my phone so I can have a phone that does not have AT&T junk on it using kdz without root

Post a link to the KDZ that you want to flash and I will let you know if it is safe. I can't tell you if it will work, but I can at least let you know if you are going to brick your phone.
If it doesn't work, you will have to root it so that you can flash back to stock since there is no H910 KDZ.

The US996 definitely uses the same RSA key as the H910, so you won't brick your phone. I can't tell you if it will work, and I also can't tell you what the ARB version is.
Before you flash, you need to verify from someone that has a US996 what the ARB version is for 10l. If it is greater than 0, then don't do it, because if it doesn't work you will be stuck and can't flash H910 firmware back onto your phone.
Prismk, I understand why omnixech wants to flash the KDZ -- he / she doesn't want to root their phone. You already have root, so what are you hoping to gain?

The US996 ROM have UI differences, like the carrier name (hidden) on status bar and LTE icon. I can change that on H910, but I will have to use xposed and will break magisk
safetynet.
@omnixech If you did used US996 KDZ please update this thread, if it was ok I will use this KDZ too. I won't be able to use an app that my company use because I have root

No I have not used the kdz I most likely will not it is my only phone and do not want to risk ruining it.
I just was tying to remove all the at&t junk on my phone with out have to root, I do not like the current rooting method that is available for my phone leaving that warning message during boot.
I will just leave well enough alone until a better way to root comes along or I get a new phone what ever happens first.

I'm currently on LGH990AT-00-V11k-GLOBAL-COM-JAN-17-2018+0, even though the about phone menu shows V10g-AME-XX (for some reason that I do not know) on my rooted H990DS. If you could please check if this would work in a flash using KDZWriter (keeping boot and the kernel the same?) or flashing the TWRP zip that another user posted, I would be very grateful.

Sorry, the H990 handles the cellular modem quite differently. If it doesn't outright brick it won't have service.. Its why there arnt any Lineage builds for it.

It work for me. Network service working in my country. Except I cant access phone information in *#*#4636#*#*
So I cant lock to specific network. Other than that it runs much smoother without those AT&T bloat.

I did a test on the latest version US99610o_01_0202.kdz and it worked perfectly fine.
Just one note, make sure you are carrier unlocked before flashing to the new KDZ variant.
The only thing I found a little bit of annoying, at least on my case, is that you can't check for updates in the phone, I keep getting the following message "Your phone is not registered yet." Although there is a workaround (just google it), my way of fixing it is by updating through LGMobile Support Tool.

Yes, it is possible, I did the conversion from H910 v10q to US996 v10o.
However I am not sure if further versions in the H910, the ARB is incremented, making impossible to change the firmware, however if that is the case you will be stopped when LG UP will say "anti-rollback check failed" and abort.

Regarding the battery, I haven't found any real difference, but the ROM is way cleaner.
The way I did the conversion is doing the following:
Download the latest KDZ variant for US996: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939828249
Further versions can be found here: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-us996-firmwares/
Download the patched LG UP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-patch-lgup-to-unlock-features-t3652222
Make sure you install it in C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP or it will either read the wrong model file (if you had a previous installation of LG UP), or it will not be able to find the model file at all.
Put your phone into download mode (power off / hold vol. up / plug in USB cable)
Open LG UP and click the PARTITION DL radio button, pick the US996 v10o KDZ that you downloaded above, and click start. Make sure all partitions are checked.
Once it is complete, your phone should reboot into the new US996 ROM.

Thanks for the answer, I've flashed the 10f to unlock the bootloader. But now i've a problem with LTE. I don't know why it say stuck on H and it didn't go on internet

What is your mobile provider? Most likely LTE isn't working since your provider doesn't support the LTE bands from your device.

LG G6 H870DS Firmware Upgrade. Help. :)

Hello! I'm fairly new to the LG world and I have a few questions/problems hopefully someone could answer.
I read somewhere that the HK firmware has not been updated since late last year. And unfortunately, I have the same firmware region. Tough luck. :'( My security patch is still stuck in October 2017. And that leaves me to my real question. Is it okay to flash a firmware from a different region? Let's say Philippines since I am from there. If that's possible, do I need to root? AFAIK, H870DS cannot unlock bootloader. I'm also aware of LGUP, uppercut and where to get the .kdz file. I was just wondering if the cross-region firmware upgrade will push through.
If anyone out there could help me, it is much appreciated. Thank you!

Download and Install LG G6 drivers from official Website.
Download and install LG UP.
mylgphones(dot)com/download-lg-up-software
Download LGUP_Common.DLL.
mylgphones(dot)com/download-lgup_common-dll-version-1-0-31-9.html
Create a folder named 'Common' in 'Program Files(x86)>LG Electronics>LGUP>model' & Extract LGUP_Common.DLL. to it(both files).
Download kdz file from
lg-firmwares(dot)com/lg-h870ds-firmwares/
Connect phone to PC and run LGUP. It should detect the phone. Select 'Upgrade' in process. Browse for the File Path to the .kdz file.
Start and follow instructions till completion.

Will I receive OTA updates after flashing IND over TWN ?

Yes, you'll. But for your original region: phone original with India fw -- flashed with Taiwan fw = OTA India fw.

Got stuck at LG logo after I flash LG G6 H870DS ESA to SEA firmware. I followed the correct steps but still stuck on the LG powered by android logo.

Got stuck at LG logo after I flash LG G6 H870DS ESA to SEA firmware. I followed the correct steps but still stuck on the LG powered by android logo.

i did all of this but now my phone is stuck in boot screen, i can't turn it off or boot into download mode. The only thing i can do is loading into factory reset but it goes back to the same boot screen after i choose yes, so please help

I had the same problem with being stuck in LG screen. I found this solution to get into download mode. This will unfortunately erase everything on your device. I recomend to use the softwareupdate that was made fore the region your phone comes from, at least that was the only thing that worked for me.

"Just hold down button and power button. Just when you see LG logo leave power button for a second. Push power button again and hold with down button. Now press yes twiche for the hard reset prompt. Now IMPORTANT, when screen goes black immediately press and hold up button. While holding up button plug usb cable into the PC. Now use Uppercut 1.0.0.0 and flash your kdz."

While I do not know the answer to your question, you can try and worse come the worse LG UP will stop if it fails and no harm done, just reboot the phone. Even if after successful installation it gives you any errors or you don't like, you can just flash back H870ds kdz and revert but make sure you have the original h870ds kdz that you are on now downloaded and available. If rooted make backup before attempting as you will probably loose all your data in the process.
Edit: I didn't realize you were trying to install dual sim kdz onto a single sim phone, usually people try other way around to get latest security patch. I doubt that it will work and you will not get dual sim functionality even if flash works because you don't got the hardware for it.

I just want to use volte and h870ds firmware support it (btwI am single sim user) so is it work if I flash h870ds in my h873 mobile ...?

Lg V20 unlock bootloader problem

I have bought this secondhand handset, he says that it's us996 series, and when i check it in the setting information, it says us996 series, but then i decided to unlock bootloader, we know that us996 series could be unlocked legally, so when i follow the instruction, including put my IMEI and device ID in LG developer website to get permissions, the website says that my handset is LS997, so it can't unlocked legally, could any of you solve this problem? I desperately need your help, thank you (english is not my native language, so sorry for the language)

Sounds like LS997 that was rooted before dirtysanta was patched, and they probably flashed a 996 rom, check ☒ see if you have root. If so it should be unlocked

I've tested it with root checker and it says no, then i checked the bootloader status whether it's unlocked or locked, and it says still locked, it's like no sign that this device had been rooted before

check the sticker under the battery for model number, what does it say? if it is not US996 you can't use LG Dev site to unlock.

The problem is you got sold a ls997 that got flashed with us996 firmware including the bootloader while it was still possible. The solution is to use it as is, return it, or root it with the dirty Santa method and make sure you use a kernel with the dirty Santa fix (since most kernels/roms labeled just us996 won't have it)

I tried it once root it with dirtysanta, but i got stuck in step1.bat when unlocking bootloader, it didn't go as instructed, specifically in the android terminal emulator section, after we put that long code "applypatch /...../dirtysanta"

You need to roll back to version 10f, grab LG up from this thread, put it in
C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\
Grab the firmware
Put your phone into download mode (power off / hold vol. up / plug in USB cable).
And then use the upgrade option in LG up to downgrade. Then follow the dirty Santa instructions

Probably intentionally removed, its literally impossible to miss. It takes up a large part of the back of the battery compartment (here's my factory unlocked us996 sticker on the original screen assembly). The clean back area is of course the battery compartment. The model being listed as LG-US996 (instead of US996) and the USA on the side (as opposed to BPT or UCL) differentiate the factory unlocked from the other two us996 variants

But i heard the rumour that the ls997 variant unable to flash firmware because the variant doesn't have .kdz file

That's just it: there's no ls997 firmware but it can flash other variant's firmware (except the T-Mobile h918) as long as it hadn't gone past a certain ls997 update (others reading this thread in the future, don't try it, if it's been on Sprint firmware and been updated in the past century it's impossible, think the last Sprint update that could was ZV6 or ZV7 iirc).
Since it's on US996 firmware it should be fine. Also a good idea to use the dump option in LG UP to backup the modem, modemst1 and modemst2, and misc before you reflash with LG UP, basically everything but user data won't hurt.

that was basically all there is to it.
Get LG UP (put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP) the firmware (kdz)
Put your phone in download mode by powering off, holding volume up and then connecting to the PC. Open LG UP.
Hit dump option, hit select all, uncheck user data on the partition list, then click ok. Since the phone was originally the LS997 the modem may be wierd so having a known good modem and modemst1 and modemst2 backup (done by that dump) is a good idea.
After the dump actually rollback by selecting the upgrade button and adding the kdz to the bottom section.

Flash a kdz with patch level of december 2016 using same above method. After that root using your preferred rooting method (Mine is given in signature, need to see in desktop mode). Then flash either SuperV20 or Vincent ROM and you should be fine (Let's hope so). I personally like Vincent more because it is based upon UX 6.0, looks nice and have most things ironed out.

I can't, because my variant is ls997, and the variant itself doesn't have .kdz file, i tried it once using LGUP but it says error LS997->US996

Does a thing come up saying it's locked, or do you just not have service? Have you gone through the dirty Santa guide and finished rooting?

Help!! Stuck in "No command"

my V35 android 9 shows no command after i try to remove the root with Magisk Manager.
I tried volume down+power and was able to factory reset, but it still shows "no command" after rebooting.
I can't even turn off my phone. It just keep rebooting and showing "no command".
Any idea how to fix it?

See if you can enter download mode
Just plug in the usb and press and hold volume up when the reboots (assuming procedure is the same as v30).
Also download appropriate kdz for your exact variant in the mean time : https://lg-firmwares.com/

If you really have LG V35, do not try to flash any V30 firmware.
Requesting this be moved to V35 forum. (I see it's now been done.)

Why does it have to be the exact variant? I've read that the phone will take any file for the LG V35.
The version for my phone doesn't have one for the USA; and can you explain to me why the files are different sizes? Can they be trusted?

Would you be able to tell me what's up with the different sizes of all the different firmware? Will any of them work for my ATT phone?

If you can find the kdz for your exact variant then it's good if you can't find then obviously you need to see if other one works.
What my point was on LGv20 it would result in a brick if you flashed h918 firmware on h990
For v30 if you flash h930 kdz on h932 or us998 it won't end well.
But you could flash firmware of a particular variant to another without issues.

Also this question was originally asked in the V30 forum, not the V35 forum. I had a mod move it here, after it was answered by you and me.
As you mentioned, there's one V30 (T-Mobile H932) firmware which will hard brick any other (and vice versa), and there's some V30 firmware you can cross flash to others -- but you lose all telephone capability unless you omit certain partitions.
So you gave the safest answer, considering it was asking the wrong place.

V35 NAO (North American Open Market) will work on your AT&T V35.
