Cant restore sms messages

Hi, I just changed roms from eugenes (1.5) rom to dwangs (1.6) rom. I used backup for root to backup my txt messages but I cant seem to restore them. I was wondering if a 1.5 mmssms.db file from 1.5 is compatible with 1.6?
Thanks

[Q] Nexus 4 Modified MMS.apk bug resolution.

Hello all. I'm using the LG Nexus 4, rooted, and running the stock rom. I absolutely LOVE the theme of this MMS.apk originally developed for the Galaxy Nexus:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745830
However, I have a small problem...I cannot send MMS messages or receive them, as well as forwarding multiple people a message. Otherwise regular SMS messaging and everything else works out fine. I installed it through the use of Root Browser Lite after uninstalling and backing up the stock MMS through Titanium Backup. The post also mentions installation by "flashing into recovery," though not sure if that is the same as installing a rom through Clockwork Recovery or another method, which I did not do. Can anyone help me? I wish to keep using the stock messaging app with this theme, without the need for a third party SMS solution like Handcent or GO SMS Pro. Thanks!

How to backup/restore text messages?

I tried SMS Backup+ and it doesn't work. It seems to backup everything, but when I restore, it just shows everyone's name in the text message list and each conversation is completely empty.
So I'm wondering 2 things:
1. Are there any apps that actually work for doing this right now with the Galaxy Note 4?
2. Can I manually extract my text messages? My phone is rooted. Here's the deal -- I'm flashing a new ROM and want to carry over my text message history. I would gladly do this manually if I knew how. I don't know where they're located or if this can be done.

Backs up SMS text messages to PC and restores. Amazing app now also allows PC to view and control your Note 4.
Also look at the Samsung Smart Switch Mobile app.

I accidentally DELETED my messages. Unfortunately I wasn't able to back up my SMS prior to the incident. Is there any safe way to retrieve my SMS messages without rooting the phone (android version 5.0.1)?

Same here.
I do 27000 sms backup/restores after each wipe. The only problem - process is slow.
But maybe it's due the number of sms messages.

My favorite app is TunesBro Android Manager. you can only backup selected messages. In most cases, people only need to backup the messages he/she cares about.

I will prefer to Android Assistant App, which has the feature of one click backup and restore, very convinient.
For backup the text messages for Android , you can sync your account with Facebook then log in Facebook to the Android phone , you can copy these messages that you need to backup , after you copying is completed , you can withdraw from your phone, then login into your computer with the same Facebook account , then export data on your computer for backup , the text messages backup program is completely ,
For recover messages for Android , you can extract these deleted data form backup on computer ,
Is there an app that can compatible with data recovery and backup for Android ?
I use gosmspro for messages,it has it's own backup feature which can also be used to schedule a backup.

[Q] Lollipop 30B system apps download help

Hello,
I think I've stripped down my system a bit too much. Now i can't receive forwarded calls from another phone (yeah right?). I don't know which system app is responsible for this, but it works if forwarded to another phone.
Can I find system apps somewhere to download? Can i extract them somehow? I can't access the ISO files in dowloaded images of 30B. Is there another way?
Titanium backup ****ed me up. It doesn't restore system apps properly

[Q] Transfer messages Samsung to Cyanogen

Hello. I just installed Cyanogen 12.1 on my S4 and I cant restore my messages. I cant add Samsung account but I did a backup of my default messages app, joyn by telekom with TB. I restored app+data, but it just installed app, the messages are still missing.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
You would of needed to make a backup of 'Messages (SMS & MMS)' it's listed in yellow and as a XML type in TB. So if you haven't, then you've lost them.

I should have them in my Samsung account. It's no way that I can access them?
If they're on your Samsung account I can only thing I can suggest is to re install a stock rom, restore the messages and then do a local backup.
