Everyone has might observed that the icons in notch are poorly arranged.
The wifi sign's base is high than the cell signal indicators.
The battery percentage is chopped from below side. How can asus give such a feature above google?
The drop down notification icons are of monster size.
The very main thing is that when we click photo, it becomes dull inspite it should be rich in details.
Kindly Asus provide any reason for not correcting these things.
I don't see the battery percentage chopped!! Have you updated it to the latest fota? It optimises the notch!! It's not perfect qt this stage a few more updates are required still! As for camera, i highly suggest you enable camera 2 api and use google camera ports! They improve image quality by a stellar amount! I'll provide a snap!

Set your phone's display size to small. Then you can see that battery percentage is chopped in the bottom.
Yes it has been chopped
Printshot attached
I am attaching screen shot. Please also share your printshot Mr Dsmith
Yup sadly it is!! The notch is optimised for default screen size apparently!!
It has been chopped! Also i saw when you set the display size to large the status bar becomes wider than the notch
I don't have any issue with small display size (on last update)

Hi guys,
I've released my first Android application on the market. It's a free battery monitor that notifies you when your phone is fully charged and gives you misc information. This is my way of saying thanks to all of the developers and ROM cookers here in this great website.
Hope you like it and please share suggestions to improve it
Change log:
- Customizable notifications
- Auto start at boot time
- Fixed full detection
- Fixed notification
If you like it, you can make a donation, just follow the link in my sign. It will keep me motivated to develop more applications based on what people need
Looks impressive, I was actually looking for something to display the percentage use rather than a green bar. Could this replace the conventional monitor on the right or must it remain an extra notification? The health I think is great too, well done!
Thanks for your input. Hum... I don't have a clue on how could I replace the conventional monitor on the right. If anyone has a clue on how to achieve this, or where can I look for this, please let me know.
Doesn't look possible sadly ... maybe a home screen widget would rock!
Nice application, competes with "Battery Indicator", they both essentially do the same thing but I think this looks more colourful for free.
My only issue is that the % doesn't display other than when it is charged. Fix that and make it skinable and I'm in! Maybe have it appear on the lock screen in a similair manner to the iPhone too .

Hum... on my device the % changes in realtime, whenever the battery decreases (discharging) or increases (charging). About skins... never thought about that. I was looking into getting battery history and estimate how much battery we have left in terms of time.
Updated to v4
What's new:
- Voice notification when full.
- Misc fixes.
Updated to v5
- Fixed force closes that happened when people don't have TTS on their devices.
- Battery and TTS objects are now independent of the interface, reduced the amount of code and optimized the framework.
- Only updates when the battery changes instead of timed checks of battery level, meaning much more battery efficient.
Updated to 5.7
Changes:
- Preview voice alert
- Configuration of Text-To-Speech settings from application
- Icons according to GUI guidelines
- Fixed the detection of full charge
- Uptime since boot of the phone (might change in the future for since charged)
Looks fantastic, nice work

I for one would prefer this ( or at least have it as an option ). This would be helpful since I switch the phone off at night.
Thanks.
seems nice! i'm going to try it. just two things i'd love to see:
a nice battery widget similar to "battery info" (with all extra data and maybe a quick enable/disable overclocked feature) and the ability to disable the status bar notification, at least when not charging, since i don't need it as it replicates the stuff i see in my battery widget.
if you add these two whings i'm going to donate for sure
I love it, one of the first apps i downloaded when i got the Desire.. Donating for sure.
Thanks guys, keep suggestions coming. I've changed the uptime to reflect every time we charge, by reseting the uptime variable to 0 when we plug it in.
I would like to see a battery widget geared for us using the after market high capacity batteries (Battery Left never seems to get it right). I would like the option to give the high and low mV values, and have the app base the percentage of the battery left using those 2 values.
Why we don't have the icon like on the screenshoot in the first post ?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
i have not installed/tried this yet, but i wanted to know, is there a setting, whereby a setting to set the fully charge percentage?
Li-lon battery should not 100% charged, right?
does this shut down after its done charging? Or does it use battery resources?
Is there any way to show current battery status on the second screen when phone is in standby?
I hope theirs a way to add it, hate having to unlock phone to check battery percentage
Yes this is driving me nuts as well....would love to see the battery percentage on second screen and not just the battery icon.
I agree. Wish there was a way to display %

I found a work around of sorts for this. It's not perfect but, it works decent. You'll need to get the free app called "Battery Mix" from the Google Play Store.
After install, go into the app settings (icon style wheel (top right)->settings button will appear underneath). The very first setting at the top will be for the Notification Icon. It will say: "Remaining battery icon displayed in the status bar". Make sure this is checked. Then choose an icon style to appear in the status bar if you haven't already. I prefer the Round Rectangle one, personally.
Keep in mind, if you have a lot of uncleard notifications, it may not show in the second screen until you do so.
This app also has a very nice battery alarm feature that allows the app to notify you by notification and sound (even vibration and your phone LEDs) when your phone reaches or drops to certain charge level percentages. This is very handy to remind you to either plug in the charger, or unplug to prevent overcharging. All the best! LGman
One would think that after 8 years in the wild, Android would allow you to have JUST the battery percentage on the status bar. We can't even hide the stock icon without the help of an app or root. Sad really.

And it's not as if they can't, Samsung proved that with their Note 7 where an update changed the battery icon to green
Persistent notification icon + a tasker task that'll only keep the notification active during screen lock will work. It'll take approximately 13 hours to get it to work properly and not bug out, but once you go through that arduous process for a negligible improvement you'll feel satisfied.
But seriously - this is the only way I can see you getting it done. I'm annoyed that the goddamned STOCK clock app won't show a timer on the 2nd screen, which is such an oversight it kills me.
Well, you could just install nova launcher and hide notifications bar and ta daaaa. Time, signal, and battery w/ percentage in 2nd screen. Your welcome. Lol.

Doesn't work for me. My second screen shows signal, time, and battery icon. And now I can't control my second window, ta daaaa.
i've been trying to find a way to do this as well. glad to see i'm not alone. i thought maybe an xposed module would do it..
It isn't perfect, but I did make a Tasker flasher for the 2nd screen that displays the current battery % every 10 seconds. Instructions on how to get it into Tasker are in the first post (the instructions are for a different ticker, but they apply to all of them).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=69401641
In that topic, I also have a new text message (done) and a missed call (possibly WIP) flasher too.

I'm confused, I can always get battery percentage to appear on the status bar of all my android phones. It's just unchecked in battery settings.
This thread was about putting it on the second screen which I don't believe is more than 2 years (still plenty of time though).
The second screen is useless to me. They should make it E-Ink or OLED, saves battery.
I rather have a notification light. Unless i'm using it wrong?

You missed the keywords "just the percentage" as in.. hide the battery icon and only have percentage showing... Without the use of an app or root. And it was a generalized statement pertaining to either the main screen or the second.

Yeah. Your right. That's why I disabled it.
Second screen was a brilliant idea. But they came so short on modifications.
This is kind of hard to explain but whenever I use my phone, no matter what app is open, or when I'm on the homescreen, some apps kind of show transparently on my display like it almost looks like the current app being used is translucent that I can see the other app? I can't really explain this properly. Screenshots don't show what I'm talking about.
It shows up at the very sides and top portion of the screen. It also shows when I bring down my notification shade. The grey part at the top which is supposed to be completely grey, still shows the battery icon, time, notification icons, signals, Wi-Fi indicator, etc. but very translucent. As if the grey quick toggles thing is translucent.
Again, screenshots dont capture the thingy. So I'm sure it's an issue and not intentional by Motorola.
It's screen burn issue. It has been discussed numerous times check through the forum for more help.

Install this, set on 5% black and after a while the burn images are gone. (keep the app on all the time, the one that I linked to is the one with less battery usage, from the 4 I tested)

As mentioned above by @Gero71 , use the app or visit the service center and ask them for a display replacement. That would be a permanent fix hopefully. :good:

I've seen some people complaining about the same issue after they've replaced their screens. It will still occur no matter what.
And, the app you're making me install, is just a screen filter. I use it all the time. Lowering the brightness doesn't fix the screen burn. It just makes it less prominent. But it is still there.
Hi,
My second screen app icons periodically get really small (and kinda ugly) for no apparent reason. Then they get back to normal size also rather randomly. One way to get them back to normal is to turn off and on app icons.
I have no idea why this happens, and I don't even know how to take a screenshot of the second screen to show what it looks like.
Details: LG H990ds. Sept 2017 Android 7 running. Unrooted.

What is this potato you speak of? Haha
This is 100% a theming property. I wouldn't really say "issue" or "error" as much as I would say mistake, and that's o lt in the eye of the beholder.
This is a value setting within the theme itself.
The themer has set the theme to draw app icons on top of a series of backgrounds and they set the icon to be drawn at a percentage of the default app icon.
What I'm saying is the theme will, in this case, reduce the app icon to a smaller size then place it on top of one of the themes bg's.
Some icons have bg's as part of the actual app icon and some have only the icon (see attatched samples). Obviously icons that do not have a bg will blend into themes easier because the themes bg option will look more intended.
There are several options to fix this, but only one being easy.
1. The easy one does not get to keep the theme, you must change the theme to something that is visually acceptable to you
2. This is an option for users that have some experiance swapping images in an apk. Find the app which has an icon you don't like and use 7zip to open the apk and swap the image for one that appeals to your taste. Problem here is that thing can get overridden every time the apps gets updates. This can also trigger package errors due to signatures values and changes from original size.
3. Knowledge or modding a decompiles apk using apktool is required for this one.
Located the themes common.apk and decompile it.
Within the decompiled folders you will find a values folder, open the integer.xml and change this value to the value that fits your needs best (100 being 100% or the full original size) <integer name="config_icon_ratio_as_theme">65</integer>.
There are other ways that can do what you are wanting done, you just have to get creative with it!
You ask "how to take screenshots or second screen? You've asked this question twice now, obviously without reading the reply to the question the first time.

This is a development community and i suggest spending a little more time reading and you'd be surprised with gow much you can find by doing a quick search.

The problem is, this size keeps changing randomly. I haven't changed the theme in 2 months, but the size switches between the correct size and the tiny one every few days. The theme itself is the 'Default Black' theme that came with the phone.

I saw the comment, replied to the first part but happened to miss that part out. Thanks for that.
Attaching clearer pics to demonstrate the size difference.
Again it doesn't happen when the theme is applied. The theme has been applied from the beginning.. It's the dark one that came with the phone.. The problem comes and goes randomly.
Same here! Usually it happens when I've moved around an app icon, doesn't matter if it's moved onto the second screen or onto a homescreen.
A restart usually resets the size to normal.
u/stangdriver44 u/3mL : I have found the reason for this.
It's due to the modification of DPI I did on the main screen. It seems this setting is inherited by the second screen off and on. I just reduced my DPI further to 400 and the second screen icons got even smaller.
Others have also reported this issue. (As on this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/lgv20/comm...e_the_size_of_the_navigation_buttons/dnj6dko/)
Is there a way to de-link the DPI of the second screen with that of the first?
Im trying to reduce the size of those buttons, can youpeovide the dpi and resolution that you are at?

The one in the photo was at 420. I'm currently at 400, which makes for some really tiny icons.
EDIT: please note, that this resizing isn't constant, it gets turned on and off like a boolean such that sometimes it stays small, then returns to normal for a while.

But I found I canNOT really read the percentage of battery charge in the top right corner, without a magnifying glass.
Changing Text/Font size in the display settings, does not include enlarging that important information.
Does anybody have a solution for that?
