In response to another post, I followed the instructions to root and install a ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/2017-root-kindle-fire-hd-6-4th-gen-t3677600/page2
I got to the last part and rebooted to Fire OS .. then ...
Black Screen - no boot screen.
MT65XX Preloader appearing and disappearing, and not booting to Fastboot or TWRP. Just connecting/disconnecting
This has happened for me and I have tried everything to get it going again. Even bought a factory cable.
Please does someone have a fix for this. Have tried the drivers on Win 7, Win 8 and Win 10 with everycombination of MTK Preloader drivers
Frustrated but dont believe it's 100% dead?

Hi,
I have a friend's Kindle Fire which is stuck at the boot animation screen
He sideloaded what would appear to be a corrupt version of GO Launcher EX which has now, after granting it priority over the “standard” launcher has now put his kindle stuck at the animation screen.
I'm using Windows and tried to ADB into it but its not seeing it.
I have the Android ADB interface drive installed in device manager. But no joy trying
to unbrick it. Any help would be welcome
update
I'm trying the rather fab Kindle Fire Utility, but after installing the drivers it still says says error: device not found
The is a TON of info on this subject in the general section.
Sent from my Kindle Fire
if its not in fast boot already, you might need to get a cable to put it in fast boot.
I ran into the same issue, I connected my wife's stock Fire, let Windows detect it and install driver, then connected mine up and got into TWRP chose normal boot and good to go. I couldn't get it to install the driver no matter what I tried. Long way arount it, but it worked for me.
So i may have bricked my Kindle Fire. I rooted it successfully, did not install TWRP or anything similar. Installed the Android Market but could not get it to work so i "deleted from device" from my carousel and my Kindle turned off and couldnt turn back on Then I attempted the Kindle Unbrick Tool and tried that, but it seemed that it could not find my Kindle on my computer (I'm running windows vista) Even when i plug in the usb it doesnt make the happy little noise it makes when you plug in something. I went to device manager and saw that it was recognizing it both as "Android" and under portable devices, "Kindle" or a few times it came up as "L" which is the usb port I had it plugged into.
tldr; Unbricking tool is not "finding" my Kindle on my computer Also I'm kind of a n00b at this, as far as running codes and whatnot.
side note: My kindle is also low on battery at the moment. I have it charging right now, so maybe that's a factor?. When I turn it on, I get the Kindle fire logo but no animation, it still stays lit after that screen as if it's still on but nothing happens..Any advice would be appreciated ^.^
Hey, My kindle got stuck in fastboot too. It wasnt recognized by KFU and unbricking tool. Here is how I managed to recover to normal boot: Remove the drivers in device manager and reboot your stuck kindle fire, but do not unplug it (just hold power button for pretty long time till it shuts down, then just turn it on). Windows should recognize some device. now install adb drivers and launch KFU. If it sees your fire you are good to go, if not just try changing bootmode to 4000 as if it was recognized. BUT this worked for me. I do not know if it will work for you! I take no responsibility or whatsoever. Good luck sir. Do not give up

4. I tried to root again and again but the kindle restarts every time
5. Now my kindle after I connected to charger restarts 2 or 3 times then loop in cyanogenmod logo for ever and drains all battery (the logo is moving)
6. I tried to root once again but the FKU don't recognize
more facts
a. Everytime I connect my kindle to a PC the kindle power up and the pc it recognizes an usb mass storage but does not appear a drive
b. After install drivers (run install_drivers.bat) in a new PC then connect the kindle for first time the device manager appears a new device with name of "Galaxy" but then the pc it recognizes an usb mass storage but does not appear a drive
Please help I don't know how to do anymore
P.D. I'm so sorry for my bad bad english
Wow sounds like an ugly situation. You will very likely need a factory cable to force it into fastboot in order to Reflash twrp. What do you mean by uninstalled twrp can you provide more info on your steps? To resolve your driver issue you might want to first start with a live usb and soupkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850038 .

I remember that removed the blue letters "Kindle Fire" from first boot logo and the option to get in to Recovery Mode hence to avoid entering there I don't remember how I did that
My new HD10 tablet will not power on after I tried to downgrade it to 5.1.2 from what I believed was 5.1.4, but after hours of reading and tinkering I think it might have OTA to 5.3.1.0 without me realizing it.
Right now I cannot get the display to show anything at all. When i attach it to Windows 7 or Windows 10 PCs I have a device show up called "MT65XX Preloader" with no recognized drivers. I have downloaded and installed drivers for this but they are not being recognized for this device (disabled driver signing, told windows to install anyways, says successful but device manager still shows unknown device).
It appears for about 5 second then disappears for 5 and comes back repeatedly.
ADB and fastboot shows no devices being detected.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can recover from this? I'm going to setup a Ubuntu VM to see if Linux is any better with recognizing the device.

If you can't boot into stock recovery there's nothing you can do to recovery it at this point. How new is it? Amazon has a 30 day no questions asked replacement policy. You can actually set it all up without even speaking to them usually. Plus they'll send you the new one right away and you have 30 days to return the broken one.
Hello friends! I have put myself between a rock and a hard place.. I bought an n7 to put in my vehicle and was in the process of flashing over autodroid.. Well I had it all setup, windows and nexus tool kit saw the device. I started the flash and the cable was unplugged.. now the device goes right to fastboot menu but windows doesnt recognize it like before. It appears as an unrecognized device. Ive tried everything to force windows to install the drivers and nothing. Any help??
