Lineage OS 16 - Redmi 3s prime(Land) - Several problems - LineageOS News & Discussion

Hey everyone!
I recently installed the fore-mentioned ROM and I noticed a couple of problems with my camera. it happens mainly with the selfie camera but also with the main one. Take a look at the to right because I cannot really explain it.

Moreover, I cannot open pictures (I've tried it with pics taken from camera, viber pictures and pics downloaded from chrome). The message I get is "Can't open file". Moreover, when I try to see files through my laptop (USB connection) I get no preview. Other downloads, such as documents, work fine.
Finally, phone is sometimes not recognised by the computer, or even if it is, it suddenly disconnects.
Any help?

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Unofficial LineageOS 16.0 thread that's specific to your device and variants for support and guidance.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3849579
FYI... The OP Developer of the above thread is actually one of the Official Lineage Team Maintainers for your device as well.
Good Luck!

Thank you for your answer.
It's quite confusing with all those lineage roms. What I have installed is this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-land-t3830441
Isn't it the right one?

I see what you mean and, to be honest, I've been thrown off myself with the various developments available for my device.
I wouldn't say that it's the "wrong" one to use since there's many very good developers who releases Unofficial builds on the LineageOS Firmware.
If your issue is with the firmware from the thread you had pointed out, then that's where you go to obtain support and guidance from.
The thread I had previously posted can be an option for you in case your unable to obtain any helpful support or guidance from.
This is up to you...

Thank you once again!
So, there are several unofficial developers and there's an official too. Could we say that unofficial roms are beta versions and the official is the stable one? Because I've seen an official lineage page that's still in 15.

At this point in time, there's no "Official LineageOS 16.0" released for any devices.
Many/Most of the Official Lineage Team Maintainers (that actually uses the XDA Forum) has been releasing Unofficial builds for valuable feedback and such till they're stable enough for an, eventual, release for the Official LineageOS 16.0 builds.
For the Galaxy S5 devices I have, Haggertk (the Official Lineage Team Maintainer for this device) has been periodically releasing Unofficial builds for feedback and such.

Hello all,
I just wanted to get some people talking about Flyme OS in the forums, in hopes that a dev might consider porting the Flyme OS rom from the Nexus 5 over to our device.
The official rom was suppose to be released back in aug but never was released, well at least according to a few news post on some sites I read. I've never used Flyme OS so I can't say whether is good or not, but it looks really nice, on par with IUNI OS.
Have any of you ever used it before? Pros or cons? How hard would it be to get a port for it? Has anyone started a port? I know with the release of Lollipop most people have moved on to it, but its worth trying I think. Thoughts?

I reached out to komprado regarding his port, he is no longer working on a port to our device and the thread has been closed. As of right now, I searched but can not find any devs working on a port for this rom to our device.
i agree fly me os looks great
now flyme3.0 can be posting ,the newest 4.0 cannot
I would be certainly interested in this
Why not?
I was using Meizu M1 Note for a week and it is fascinating about system and stabilization.
It will be perfect on OPO
there is a lollipop port on oneplus forum, with some bugs. but beside that, everything works.

Hey
trying to bring back the dead conversation regarding flyme os.
I found a link on the flyme.cn website which contains links to the latest build. However the website is in chinese. Not sure whether it will work internationally.
if it is permissible to post links then I shall and the senior members could have a look maybe.
Want to try the flyme os on the great OPO.
Thanks

Just seen from ubberlaggydarwin page (he work for our port on CM) is ready and will be soon in CM Git
If he submitted the source to CM, it should take about 2 weeks to be processed and then showed in the wiki pages on Cyanogen. You can then have the rom etc. In my experience it takes about 2 weeks, I don't develop for this phone but mainly Samsung phones. But It may differ.
well it's late december now... any news?
Any news?
Any news about the Cyanogenmod ROM? I'm interested
I recently bought this phone on Amazon and would really love if I could get CM on it. I found a link to a bunch of sourcecode for the phone. Maybe this will help someone crack it for awesome root action? sharpusa.com/Home/CustomerSupport/SharpCareCenter/MobileSupport/OpenSourceCode.aspx
Bad news..
I have recently (March 22, 2016) gotten into contact with the person who was originally working on the Cyanogenmod for the 306sh, and found that he had ceased progress on the project, and posted what he did have on Github. Sorry to inform everyone of this..

Well ****, that sucks. Two questions:
1) WHY did he quit?
2) What's his GitHub link?
If I am correct, his GitHub is "https://github.com/uberlaggydarwin"
And he never stated why he stopped development, as unfortunate as it is..

forthcoming custom rom--lewa os for our oneplus one #stay tuned

Can you provide any information that would corroborate these claims of "smooth performance"? Like what kernel sources they use? What governors, what keychains? Any specific technical data that would help someone form an actual educated opinion on whether this is something to look into? I've never heard of this ROM before and therefore am highly skeptical of it until I get the information I require from a more trustworthy source.
Edit: Everything on their website that is of any use (like installation instructions) is in chinese. Not a good start.

We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Hey everyone!
Over the past few days I have worked on getting OxygenOS running on the Google Pixel with partition modding etc
Today I released a guide on my website for people to try if they want to.
This is NOT usable as a daily driver *yet* but it's being actively worked on.
The guide can be found at: MOD EDIT: LINK REMOVED
Reminder that you are proceeding at your own caution, this could brick your Pixel if it was to go badly enough so please don't try if you can't understand the instructions I've given.
Bugs (As of 02/03/2019):
- Camera (Can't connect to camera, being worked on)
- Sleep
- RIL (Known Pixel issue, being worked on)
- ROM doesn't boot after first boot and requires data wipe to boot again (Being looked into)

That's a very interesting port, good luck! Thanks for sharing your work!
That's great ?
This looks really cool! I always did like experimental stuff though lol. I've marked to receive updates on this thread. Wish I could try it but no RIL is a deal breaker for now. Thank you for your work on this
