Sometimes when I pick up my phone after it's been sitting at my desk neither the double tap to wake or the power button will wake my device. Anyone else experienced this?
(I did search for this to see if it was asked already but did not find a thread)

Been having this issue since I got it. None of the updates have resolved it. 9.0.7 hasn't been as bad as 9.0.6 was, but it still happens at least once a day. Haven't updated to 9.0.10 yet. This is my only real gripe I have with this device so far.
I have mine set to tap once on screen to wake up. Sometimes I get this where I need to press power button to wake up.

I have checked with both single tap and double tap, both of them aren't perfect. Miss mostly when phone is idle for too long. Have to use power button in those cases.
I have had the same issue on both 9.0.7 and beta 1. Sometimes tapping the screen does nothing. The phone does not wake up and i have to got the power button (I have it set on single tap to wake).
I suspect it could have something to do with pocket mode.
I have the same problem. Disabling pocket mode did not resolve the problem.

That's it then. I had the same issue from the start. Even replaced my unit for it. But its basically oos killing apps in order to save battery. And it kills our beloved nova too. It was solved for me after i root my device and grant nova root permissions. If u dont wanna root try using the default launcher for few days and see if the problem still persists.

Well, I thought about rooting but don't feel the need anymore. I'll try some other launchers and see what happens.

I guess only default launcher will work that's oneplus launcher. Other launcher might get killed as well. All the best.

This happens, in my case, with the default launcher from OnePlus.
I'm on full stock unrooted beta1, and had the same issue on 9.0.7.
Hasn't happened in a few days though.

Hi,
Did you noticed that it takes about 2 seconds (!!) to reach home screen when pressing the home button from any application.
It's happening only on Sony Ericsson launcher so this is pure launcher oriented.
I realy like the SE launcher and don't want to give up and move to another.
Is there any solution for this issue ??
Thanks !!
Try V6 Supercharger.
And post in the correct section and use the search function!
Thanks .
But is that actually solving the SE Launcher's Home Button 2 seconds lag ?
I did search but couldn't find any post talking specifically about that.
Usually it should fix the issue, because among other things it lock the home in memory.

Thanks for the fast answer .
Do you mean that Go launcher, for example, is already memory locked ?
While SE launcher is not, and that is the reason it takes about 2 sec ?
If you already installed that, how much time it takes you to reach home screen from within another app (Whatsapp for example) ?

I'm not really sure about that, but I think so.
That's definitely.
I'm not using Whatsapp, but usually it responds instantly and don't have to refresh the apps/widgets on the homescreens (or you won't recognize it).

Forgive me for asking, but can you can try to do it from any app, just launch any app you wish, and then press Home. Can you tell me how many seconds passed from the moment you pressed home till the home screen really shown ?
Thanks!

As I said, it should respond instantly.
And I'm not using the stock SE Home any more, so I can't.

Restarting the phone will help for a while. If you are like me and donĀ“t want to mess around with that supercharger thing this is the only way to fix that
restart didn't help...
Anyway, I installed zeam launcher and everything is super fast.
As I said its a pure launcher issue.

other than using the power button to turn it on, and crossing my fingers that this will get re-enabled in Android 4.5/5 around July/August, no :/
Also annoyed that the auto-brightness+ setting is now gone, but that at least was fixable through the Lux app.
Brightness button did not disappear on mine. Sprint S4

Couple alternatives. Wanam with Xposed could fix it. Also, a different launcher would let you set it too.

Thx bud,
I don't think that the prob is from the launcher, as it doesn't work with other launchers neither (I don't use TW, also it is working normally with s-view cover opened).
I have Wanam with xposed, but don't find any option like that... could you help me out? Thx a lot!
I found another strange issue, don't know if you have it , too. If I deactivate auto-unlock when I open s-view cover, it still unlocks when I open it... even after restart.
Edit: Found the solution for other issue: Nils Notification was set to always unlock when cover opened, nothing to do with rom... My fault

In Wanam, under System, there is a section for Long Home key behavior, can you not, Launch S Voice from there?
I use Google Now, and this is how I launch that.
As for S-view, I can't help with that, I dont have that.
Is this happening to anyone else? Anytime my phone reboots I have to rearrange the toggles back to the order I like, as they are reset back to default.
Rooted Oxygen 2.1.1
No, no-one?
I thought that maybe Nova could be causing it, so changed back to the Oneplus launcher and still happens. Any ideas?

Thanks, I did a quick search though must have overlooked it.
It works fine when I use one of lg's launchers. Using nova launcher it does not work. I can force it to work, or I can use greenify to hibernate and lock screen but both methods require device admin privileges. No biggie, but then you're forced to use patter unlock, and I would venture whatever other method you use as back to the fingerprint scanner. I am using pattern. It requires I use it because I gave those two other methods to lock phone development admin privileges thus making fingerprint scanner a lot less useful. It wakes phone but I have to use pattern like I would if I rebooted. Anybody using nova having same problems or found a workaround? Bugging the hell out of me as I finally have a nice finger scanner, coming from the note4 and it was almost useless with a case on, and I love unlocking my phone as I take it out of my pocket. If others using nova are having same problem let's brainstorm and figure this out. It is nice double tapping to lock phone also.
Double tap the notification bar works anywhere.

I already covered this in another thread - it's a known issue since Android 6. In 6 there was a workaround but with 7, there has been changes and the workaround doesn't work.
I spoke with Nova and there is a root workaround for it but we don't have root yet.

I've used the G3 for quite a while... I learned how the double tap works for it quite well lol. I know where at in the notification bar you should tap for it work. Unless its dramatically different on the V20's implementation of it, it just simply does not work for me...

It's a PITA and will take some getting used to. I had the LG G3 and the OPPO Find 7 which both had dttw. But with nova you have to hit the tiny notification bar, which as someone said will take some practice. Just make sure you have it turned on in nova's settings.

I took the update last night and did not notice until today that the recents button no longer works. There is animation when I press the button and swapping the buttons doesn't help so I do not believe it is a hardward issue. I also tried using gestures instead of the buttons and still cannot see my recent apps. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Embarrassed to say that was it for me too. I froze the OnePlus launcher because I prefer Nova. I've never seen nav bar buttons tied to a launcher before but I wish I had figured it out before I wiped everything and started over.
I had some similar problems before, with different devices and aosp roms. It seems there's some link between launchers and recents apps.
