Hi,
My wife's ZF3 died on saturday night, she was using it at night, next morning, it was completely dead, I have been trying to search what happened, but cant find an actual solution, when I connect it to a PC, or almost any PC (have tried 3 different) it shows as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008...
I have downloaded the QFIL and have searched for several mbn files mostly downloaded from "Libra_QFIL_8953_...", tried with some of the partition and patch XML files I have found here, mostly downloaded from the 8675_W00 folder, and always receive the same SAHARA error...
I have some question, first would be, why did it fail by itself, I have seen some post saying they were trying to upgrade or downgrade the ROM and it crashed, that I get it, but my wife has no idea about OS and she did not certainly tried to upgrade or downgrade, so why it happened?
Second, will it work if I get the same model phone, download whatever files I need (emmc dump I think is called) and then update that to the bricked phone?
Can someone please help on this, I have barely no experience on this but want and can learn fast... I have read a lot of post from Wang1Chun and Saktis_STi but unfortunately, the later got banned and the necessary files were removed from the thread so I cant download those...
Please, any light or lead will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Yesterday when I updating my Asus zenfone max Z010D my phone hard brick. Nothing show, not indicating led, not charging, not going to bootloader.not going to recovery. The main thing is that I download ota updates zip from Asus website and flash from stock recovery. When I connect zenfone max to PC, in device manager show qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 driver. And when I google, then I known that I need service ROM which can flashed through Qfil tool.
So, can you give me service ROM so that I fixed this problem.
Please not this is not battery problem. Its os problem. Sorry for my bad English and thanks.
sorry

That is the offline charging bug caused by the hardware's reverse charging feature. No solution to date so be careful to not let the battery go below 20% without charging.
Reboot into Fastboot / CSC mode ( vol up + power) and plug the charger. Let it charge for 10-15 mins then reboot.
sir please help me i have already a reverse charging popup problem i try to change the os to solve the bug please any other option
Hello, I had a very little progress. I gave up about my asus zenfone max a year ago but glad that now looks like there's a hope in reviving my phone. I was able to download the right files to flash with QFIL. Most people here say that their PC detected QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLOADER 9008 but mine detect it as QUALCOMM HS-USB DIAGNOSTICS 9006. Due to excitement, I flashed it anyway and it created some memory partition on my hard drive whenever I plug the phone but QFIL gave me an error of :
** Download Fail: Switch To EDL Fail Failed to switch to Emergency Download Mode
I tried to google this error, some encountered it and was able to get a resolution by just removing the battery before plugging it in but our zenfone is with non removable battery. I have no luck yet. Anyone got suggestions ?

Where do you get the right files? Could you post them?
Hi guys, I'm in really trouble.
I've got an Asus z010d and I think is hardbricked.
Screen is totally black, no vibrations, no recovery mode, nothing.
The only thing that I've done is to see it via QFIL like the image attached.
I've read some guides around the internet, for restore the device via QFIL with a stock rom, but I not able to get a single rom that has rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml files that the program need...
I state that I am not a big expert.
Iif anyone knows how to help me, I can also pay him for the right assistance.
Thanks in advance.
Good morning, sorry if i open a post it from nowhere, I searched for many forums but i did not find any match, i have a ze500kl with original rom that after a simple reboot has not turned on anymore, i do not charge and there is no way To be able to .access the fastboot.
I tried to use QFIL considering I see the processor driver in my pc but unfortunately I do not have the QFIL firmware for this model (ZE500KL) and unfortunately can not find it, does any of you have a copy of it?
So, I side loaded build no. 13.8.26.76 to my phone, not knowing that it was meant only for the snapdragon 410 counterpart (mine is 615 one). It installed successfully until I rebooted and phone stayed dead. I think I hard bricked it
No logo, no charging, can't enter recovery or fastboot. No nothing... Connected device to PC, and windows doesn't recognize it.
Please help me....

Check my post for detailed instructions. And yes, I did face that issue and fixed it by reinserting the battery. It's a bit risky, but worth a try. Try watching some YouTube teardown videos

It's on my profile. I haven't mentioned the disassembly part since it was not required in general cases. Check my profile for the detailed instructions
Hey Man. I'm currently working on my phone. I already tried removing the battery but I'm still getting the error:
Download Fail: Switch to EDL Fail.
hopes are going narrow. Now I don't know what to do.

If you're having trouble with QFIL, best thing to do is uninstall Qualcomm drivers, reboot, reinstall, try again. Repeat until you can flash without problem.
I had to uninstall many times. Don't lose hope. It takes a lot of effort
hey Sree. I noticed that it is being detected as Qualcomm HS-USB diagnostics 9006. So what I did is I forced driver to install Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I'm now having a Sahara error. I'll try reinstalling drivers but I have a quastion. Does QFIL version matter ?

I don't know. I used the latest one. Try the version linked in my original post. Also, of you're getting sahara fail, it's ok. You're on right track. Uninstall driver, reboot and reinstall. It'll take hell a lot of tries, but will work eventually
Hello XDA members,
my phone did an OTA update but it's dead now (no boot, no recovery, no download mode, only black screen and QDLoader 9008 under Device manager), I looked everywhere for a whole week to find a solution, but nothing seems to work.
There is one thing that I found is that I need to Unbrick it using a JTAG box (but I don't have one).
do you know any other solution that might work in my case?
PS: solutions that I have tried
- Debrick image on SD card.
- using Ubuntu to push img files to the phone but it didn't detect it.
- I wanted to try QFIL but i couldn't find xml files for my phone
thank you for your time :fingers-crossed:
Have your device been fixed?
My Nothing Phone is hard bricked and not working.
No Fastboot Mode
No Recovery Mode
Mobile in Dead Condition.
Nothing Phone 1 Firmware do not have emmc, raw program and patch file.
I own a heavily Bricked Nothing Phone 1. Currently, I am trying to bring it back to life. It is detected as Qualcomm HS_USB QDLoader 9008 (Com3). After spending some time online, i got a possible solution, flashing it using QFIL. I downloaded the firmware, it didn't have 3 files needed to start the flash process which were raw program XML file, patch file, prog emmc file. I looked up Online for these file specifically, But found nothing. Do anyone know what should I do.
I'm interested in this too! EDL Firehose saved my butt twice already. Would be great to have a saviour after an incredible eff-up on this phone.
If I can help in any way, let me know. The QPST tools and COM driver are installed, and can put my working phone in EDL for testing.
up on this post.
me be nothing phone is nothing
my phone now restart problem all i know sulotion already try in try but the same problem

QFIL file for Nothing Phone is totally different compared to ROM firmware . You can't flash it . For unbrick the phone you must have this particular QFIL file which I don't think you find it online for now .
If by any chance you find it please share .
