Hello, I have the 6T phone rotated with the method proposed here. I would like to know in what way I could remove the root and block the bootloader again. Thank you.

There is a whole thread about that
And you're not in the proper section, you should be in Q & A section
Ok I close it.

Has anyone gone through the unroot/relock instructions and gotten the update notification...
I just want to see if that did indeed work and that it takes it back to true stock...
Just paranoid with updates and what not and want to be sure.
Thanks.
Doesn't sound like development to me
i wanna know if the same method for rooting the current honeycomb will work for the update. :/

Thanks. Just figured I'd post where the instructions were at for doing the relock unrooting. Sorry for wsting your time. Move the post. Or delete it then. Thanks again.
Here are detailed instructions of Unrooting and relocking Motorola Xoom.
I am having an issue unrooting and relocking...
Does anyone know what the problem is if after extracting the contents of HRI39 into \platform-tools after inputting adb reboot bootloader it does not accept any fastboot commands? It says its not a recognized command. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I don't know... If rooting is development, I'm not sure how unrooting isn't as well.
Moved to general.
I thought it would be easy to find an answer to this question... but I haven't been able to find my specific situation.
I'm wondering if it is okay to take the 6.0.1 update? Everything is still stock except the only thing I have done is unlock the bootloader. I know you would normally not want to, but I wasn't sure if the bootloader is impacted or affects any system updates.
Thanks
Go for it, you'll be fine . Nothing system related has been modified.

Thanks both for the replies. Your guide is awesome, so thank you! I assumed most people would go all the way, so most people wouldn't be in my situation. I just wanted to do some research first before I decide what direction I want to go. I've been out of the game for a couple years due to locked down Samsung Notes. CM looks like a good option as it appears you can install updates without having to flash each time? Anyway, thanks again for the help!
Thanks for taking time to read my query.
I was wondering if I've to lock boot-loader after rooting ( I just rooted my Oero)
and before looking can I take everything backup on titanium backup and then restore everything after locking ?
I'm I still be rooted?
Regards
Unless you are on the totally stock system then I wouldn't lock your bootloader.

Technically i believe you could and would still be rooted, but I've always seen it advised NOT to lock your bootloader again until you are on 100% stock (right now your boot.img isn't stock since it's patched for root).

So you mean I would not be able to re-lock bootloader even if I had installed Nougat, isn't it?
thats because we are using tampered boot.img. Is it possible in-future we can use original boot.img ?

If you relock your bootloader with anything other than a factory image you will brick your device.

If you modify your device, bottom line, you should leave it unlocked so you can fix things or go back to stock if needed, otherwise you could turn it into a paper weight. Even if root is done without modifying the boot.img, I would still keep it unlocked as there are usually still system changes.

This.
With a modified system or other partition, you risk a brick.
If anything goes wrong, once the bootloader is locked you can't fix it.
DO NOT LOCK THE BOOTLOADER ON ANY PHONE IF ROOTED!!!!!

When I boot my k20 plus I get "cannot verify corruption. Lock your boot loader" it sticks there until I press power. How do I get rid of that without locking bootloader?

K20+?? You are in the wrong thread sir. Please search for your phones XDA forum and ask in the rooting thread there. This is the essential ph-1 forum. Good luck!

I don't see anything about a phone type in the original question. Only that he asks about locking the boot loader.

Lol you are in the wrong thread genius. I don't know who "he" is but assume you are referring to the OP and in that case "He" doesn't need to mention anything about any specific phone because he is already posting in the right place. The question you asked about your k-whatever phone will most certainly be different for every phone. Good luck and who knows maybe a forum moderator can help you?

MOD EDIT
You are one trippy person ? if you really feel the need to post about your LG phone in the mata thread go right ahead buddy.

MOD EDIT
It's worth noting that the Essential PH-1 uses an A/B partition system so any advice given here would not be helpful in the slightest for devices that don't have the same file system. Quickly doing a search of your phone reveals it's not an A/B partitioned system so following advice here could potentially lead to you actually destroying your phone.
could you lock the BL once rooted if in fastboot mode it lists device tampering = false?
Wonderful reply

Just an opinion, but...there are rules for posting in forums that Dev's, no matter how over worked and underpaid/appreciated should follow as well. Teach by example not proxy. Applaud the calm gentleman who responded with eloquent grammar and poise.

If you patched boot.img (Android 11 stock) with magisk and then lock bootloader... Will that be possible since it's stock rom or it altered because of the boot.img patch?

I don't know.
So I am interested in rooting my LG V20 h91810s. From what I gather I have to roll it back to 10j or i. I have the bootloader unlocked already. But I'm not sure about the rollback. Will a factory reset take it back to 10j or 10i? If not, I haven't been able to find step by step instructions on doing this. I think once I can get it rolled back I should be able to follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/instruction-to-root-h918-10i-t3536472 in order to root it. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
No can do..... You will make your phone into a paper weight.
So there is no way to root it? I need to root it in order to recover some very important texts. If it can't be rooted does anyone know how I could recover a deleted sms thread?
Thread title changed on OP's request
Thank you very much.
As of right now anything 10p or higher is ARB01. Which means you can't roll back to root. Trying will create a brick. There are people working hard to make it happen but until then it's a waiting game. As for the recovery of SMS hopefully someone can help you. Chances are if you've searched and searched for an answer with no luck, it'll be hard to get that answer here. But you never know. Good luck.
Ah, that sucks. Well tyvm anyway.
We are both on the same boat unfortunately, we'll have to wait patiently.....
Me too waiting to root my h91810s.... hopefully someone will find a method soon.....
Sucks! But I like this phone. It'll be a shame to switch. ?
might be a dumb question but has any of you guys tried kingroot?

Yeah no reason for you to try... Cause of it works we would be rooted Samsung style using flashify instead of twrp.

Care to interpret what exactly they did to root? Where to get files and how to? Maybe this can be changed to English format.....
Just wondering if there's a progress thread for the h91810s exploit. I just received mine and it's on the same firmware.

I'm not sure you should be doing this at all with your phone. You've asked the same thing in several threads and have been pointed to the instructions on multiple occasions. No one can do this for you and if you can't follow the instructions then don't do it. God help us if you **** it up and you're asking everyone how to recover your phone (this will be much harder to explain).

If you're on 10.0.3 then use one boot image from the thread you were commenting on yesterday. If you're now on 10.0.4 as an update came out today you will have to wait for someone to patch the boot image for that version.

Once you've done that and have root I've just written a quick guide on how to update to 10.0.4 without losing root here:
