How to restore cellular service

I've recently installed Lollipop GPE 5.0.1 and noticed that I no longer had cellular service. I then reinstalled stock 4.4.2 (NG2). I still don't have cellular service. When I go to Settings/Connections/More Networks/Mobile Networks, the Network Operator option is greyed out. Also, the cellular icon has a red X over it. Any ideas how to update the cellular service? By the way, my SIM is for RingPlus (a Sprint MVNO) which has worked fine on this phone prior to my installing Lollipop GPE. Any hints would be much appreciated

Update PRL and Profile in Settings/System Updates. If that doesn't work, dial ##72786# in the dialer. This did a network reset.

No Dialer

Having the same issue. So the only way to get an update prl is through a touch wiz rom right? I tried Sacs and its stuck on trying to connect. then went to dialer and there is none. So i tired a different rom with dialer and it says i have no mobile service. Anything else I can do?

Will that give me knox? I am trying to avoid that if possible. Also do you have a link to a stock rom.

Android Development... All ROMs are there. Why are you trying to avoid Knox? It won't prevent you from doing anything.

Sounds like your baseband is not compatible with your ROM/bootloader..

Domestic Unlock Question

Hello Everyone,
I currently have a SPH-L720 that I performed the international sim-unlock on and currently use it in the UK. I plan to use it when I return to the states on Verizon, but am curious if I need to perform the Domestic Sim-unlock and change the LTE bands under the hidden dialer menu or should it work automatically since the phone is currently carrier unlocked and then only need to change the LTE bands? Thanks!

It doesn't support the Verizon LTE bands to begin with. Pretty sure you will never have 4G, if I'm wrong kindly point me to the info.

Ah ok I was under the assumption that I was able to modify my LTE bands as I saw on an S5 tutorial.

Would you mind linking that tutorial? As far as I know you can only change them to bands that are already supported by the device.

I know t-mobile network on nexus 4 lte settings don't stick reverts back to hspa+ In an area I know has 4g and it switches back pretty quickly so maybe that is your issue

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.

Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!

VoLTE German Providers

Hi Guys,
i search on Google but i dont found any solution, i have 4 SIMCards
O2 Germany
Telekom
WhatsappSIM
Vodafone
Since we have CustomRoms I was very happy because I thought there was the possibility to use VoLTE.
Unfortunately I had to pretend that it does not work. I flashed LinageOS, CitrusCAF, XenonHD and tried to enable VoLTE but it does not work with any simcard
is that perhaps a problem of the Modem.img?
I've flash latest tissot_images_8.1.10_8.0 also but without success
fastboot flash modem_a modem.img
fastboot flash modem_b modem.img

VoLTE never worked for me too.
Maybe it's just a carrier issue. (Vodafone IT with VoLTE enabled.)

VoLTE will never work, our eu-carriers and Xiaomi have zero collaboration. Custom ROMs or firmware won't fix what is not there. Sorry.

WOW, the febuari patch makes VoLTE with provider VodafoneNL work.
So, there is hope. Try again after the update.

Well I had VoLTE working with Stock Nougat and LTE enabled SIM with T-Mobile Germany. After Oreo update this feature disappeared. Don't know if this is carrier related or Xiaomi removed/broke support from their firmware. Custom ROMs don't seem to support VoLTE for european carriers as of this time.

I don't see a "HD" or "VOLTE" symbol in your statusbar. Are you sure that VoLTE acutally works on your device? Just because you can enable LTE enhanced mode does not mean it will work

If you see the 4G or LTE symbol while calling it's VoLTE
If you see a 3G symbol while calling it's not....

also got the update but still not working VoLTE and WiFi Call and also getting IMS not registered.
I tried O2 SIM and Telekom SIM in Germany with no luck

Sure its working with LOS15.1 ! When call with volte enable the other phone rings in 1 second if i call on H+ or 3G the other phone rings after 4-6 seconds

As in android 11 i was able to access
Com.example.tmo.bandmode
Using activity launcher
And i forgot to reset the bands and updated to android 12, now i am stuck with band 1 of LTE, and now i no more have access to band change activity
Anyone can upload the com.example.tmo.bandmode apk from their android 11 build? Or a solution to change band, as i badly need it in my locality.

thats for samsung, and required Knox, and oneplus dont have knox plus android 12 dont allow command permissions for allowing owner option in alliance x shield,
we need a working solution for oneplus android 12
till now nothing is working for changing lte band in android 12

Try rooting it and then using network signal guru to force other bands.

i dont have any use of root , and rooting just to change band not feel like doing it.
my point was we were able to change band in android 11 without root
so finding or is their a way to change it in android 12 without root
the band change app/activities are locked and not able to launch them in android 12 without root.
