You are running nougat right? So you are good to go with these. They aren't outdated. Just get the latest version of TWRP and Magisk.

I have nougat already and was expecting for a easier way to unlock bootloader than in Marshmallow so I waited for it. Now with Nougat I see it very impossible to root or get Lineage. So can someone please do a guide for my problem please?

Lots of guides already.
It's the same process. Downgrade bootloader to unlockable version, unlock, flash TWRP, flash ROM, flash Gapps. Pays to read and search player.
I agree readling through all these threads its mass confusion. Some say it works with nougat some say it bricks there devices. Is there a simple one click root like wugfresh has with the nexus devices

Many guides explains very well. If you are unsure about what you are going to do with your device then my advice is that you stay on stockrom until you understand and know what you are up to.

Oh okay, let's just assume that you know what EDL mode, DFU mode, and FTM mode are. And that you know what happens if you get a DFU brick, what is the solution... Read a bunch of guides and help threads before doing anything, especially if this is your only phone or if you can't use the warranty
To be fair, there isn't a guide for using MiFlash to downgrade the device from Nougat to MM.
I'd suggest you look for the MiFlash download link in the Download Center sticky and then download the necessary MM ROM for your device.
From then on you can just follow a guide to unlock the bootloader using axon7tool and install twrp etc.

Very nice, but I think his problem is that he needs to downgrade to Marshmallow before he even attempts to unlock the bootloader.
I'm an A2017G user, not a 2017/2017U user, so it might be slightly different for you guys (didn't think it was?), but I believe that you can't unlock the bootloader if your device is already on Nougat, it must be downgraded first.

Yes you do need to downgrade, there's a toolkit that does everything for you and I believe it was mentioned a few times in this thread.
Is there anything I should know in particular to 10k? It sounds like rooting isn't enabled unless i downgrade to another firmware version (is it even possible?).

Then your bootloader remains unlocked. Root with the tool of your choice; most favor Magisk. Also pay attention to format of data partition (ext4 or f2fs) and encryption status. Both are considerations when rooting systemlessly.

No - because if you're asking then you likely don't have the skills/experience to get yourself out of trouble if something goes wrong. And it likely will with this device. Suggest you consult rooting threads in the G4P help section along with those for the Moto E4 which is similar and came with Nougat 7.1.1. I have one of those; not the easiest pup to root. Boot looped twice before I got things sorted. Been doing this a long time, did my homework and still ran into issues.
Unrooted Nougat isn't horrible. Enjoy your *working* device while figuring out if/how to root it. Waiting for a guide specific to this device might be your best bet.

As far as I know, the ta 1025 is basically the same as ta 1021. The recovery is in the [RECOVERY] TWRP 3.2 (and a sneak peak...) Thread here in the forums. You have to look for the image with 64bit on the filename, it lays in a MEGA link. Sorry for not linking but I am on mobile now and don't have that much time. I'll link it later.

Well its a long process I used a post called convert global to Chinese ROM nokia 6 and I followed the instructions.then I proceeded to buy a bootloader unlock key and did the note you must click on edit phone information in OST before attempting the unlock as it needs the service permissions then just use fastboot with latest adb platform tools .i used the dm-verity commands to allow partition flashing and the critical commands for bootloader flashing and I flashed the unlock bin file.Im using the Chinese ROM as it has more features and NFC you'd have to sideload the play store but it works.also wouldn't hurt to check the forums for the other commands.the official recovery on twrp.me works flawlessly.also make sure you battery is at the least 50% charged anything below 15%charge ost will refuse to flash

Is there any other way to root without unlock bootloader via thise key.... Other way like adb or ost/sut tools?
Hi all.. The last device I rooted was an HTC EVO so it has been a while . I've been reading a lot and trying to catch up. I found both of these guides below to root the device. They both use a different approach. So I guess there's more than one way to do this, got it.. I guess I am just looking for some advice as to what is the most current/best way/safest to root the Tab S6 Lite. I have installed all updates provided by Samsung which has brought me to Android 11. I figured I should ask if the fact that I am already running android 11 could throw any monkey wrenches into the process of rooting it. It appears that Andoird 10 is expected within the guides. Can anyone recommend a guide for Android 11?
Thank you in advance.

I hate to say it, but I don't think using the discontinued TWRP is really too big of a deal. All things considered, it doesn't have too many bugs, and you can work around things like no adb sideload.
I just have a question. Do you think TWRP will ever be revived for this tablet, even an unoffifcial one? I mean, there seems to be a demand. Is it permanently discontinued or...?

No, I got stage fright at this point and figured the process isn't mature enough for my scenario, or I just didn't get pointed in the right direction. I think that part that concerned me was KNOX... something that didn't exist the last time I rooted an android phone (HTC EVO, yeah that long ago).

Thanks for replying. My S6 Lite is due to arrive today. I'll be trying to root my P610 with latest A11 firmware (US 2DUK1), with TWRP, will capture whatever I do.
Awesome! Much appreciated, I suspect there's many out there waiting for an updated guide.
I think twrp is not a good solution, check twice before flashing.
Rooted mine which is lte version, picked up latest from samfirm and patched AP with magisk, added rest of the files in odin from stock.
After flashing done, you must flash vbmeta and boot from stock packed in tar,to avoid error.
