According to FF it was approved for installation a few days ago, but today the scenario was reversed and it isn't no more...

For me it has not changed : b402 has been approved without IMEI for a few days, but not with IMEI.
So, it can't be installed.
It will eventually become approved with IMEI within a few days, as it happened for previous updates.
It will probably be the same with today's b403, which I think will become approved in the beginning of next month, and so on.

Got it in Croatia today. Only security update of February. I'm shocked that honor brand is getting that fast security updates. if you compare it to Samsung which has 3 times more expensive phones and sell like millions of millions of phones every year, honor is really really fast with this, even Samsung devices got February security fixes one or two weeks ago. If only they would be that good with major updates. I'm looking at you Oreo. [emoji14]

Today as well in France !!!!

Nothing in UK for me yet, but it's now showing as approved with IMEI in FF so will try this way.
Also 2 versions of 403 now but no approved yet.
Updated to 402 via FF.

Ok thx i have no brand honor 8 with Tim sim card, no ota for the moment :crying:

I updated my L09 to 402 this afternoon using FF and no I no longer pass safteynet even without Magisk and root.
Does anyone have this problem?

Oh guys...H8 No brand with TIM simcard and still no ota yet. On FF approved without imei but not approved with imei.

Firmware for SM-G975W

Hi,
I purchased an S10+ from Telus today and I was wondering what firmware I can use to update it. I'm on February security level and I believe there is more recent available.
Based on a thread in the Guides section, the Muti CA. Firmware doesn't cover the TLS "region"

The latest firmware ends with VLU1ASBA and has a February security patch. If that's what you see. You're on the same firmware as everyone else with Telus and most likely Canada.

Thank you, that's what I'm running. I thought maybe the phone could run something more recent. Similar to the Note 9 that was loaned to me for a bit, it was XSG region but I was able to find updates via samfirm or XDA.

you might as well wait a day or two .... cuz the march security update is supposed to release april 15th .... u can see that on telus update schedule

I'm not aware of being able to cross flash. I would suspect that if possible, it would probably be destructive to the data on the phone. Perhaps one of the more modding savvy folks can chime in and provide better instructions.

S8 Security Patch Update

I am in the same boat. Mine is SM-G950FD (UAE version) bought from US and using in India. I am still on October 2018 patch. I got a few updates after I bought it, then it stopped. :crying:
I saw that some people who had bought from one country (UAE in particular) had their phone sensors bricked during earlier OTAs while they were in a different country. I hope that is the reason they are delaying updates for our phones and not because they blacklisted us.

i have the same model :crying: .... im still on the feb pie update since then iv got nothing :crying:... maybe we might not get any updtes

Just a thought. Did you come back to India after Feb 2019? I came back during Nov-Dec 2018. I stopped receiving updates around that time. Could it be that Samsung don't push updates if we are not in the original country?

I have got my s8 second hand and the previous owner says he doesnt have the bill. How can I identify the country of origin of my s8 (via imei or seriel no)?

Sorry, I am not sure. In my case, the box had the country written and there were a few UAE specific apps.

Just checked and it still says I am on latest update (Oct 2018). Where did you buy your phone from? Mine was from B&H PhotoVideo.

Battery seems to be draining fast in this update.

The same for me, Galaxy s8 bought in Belgium and flashed with the official German Pie ROM and since february, no more update.

PhoneInfo app has a field called 'Country of Origin'. It shows mine as Vietnam though (mine had UAE specific apps when I bought it).

Germany and Holland has the release so far.

UK version is still EEA i thinkz last time it started rolling out 5 days later the global version but now he got it just as it's rolling out sooo idk really...

Nothing about the brightness max capped at 700 nits in this update ?

It appears to be another staged rollout. EU versions will be waiting 2 weeks again. Most people who have received it are in Germany.
