So, recently I decided to root my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (sm-g530r4). I used ODIN and everything went just fine. I successfully rooted it and I was happy. I went to the Play Store and signed in with Google and downloaded some apps. After that, I turned the phone off and when I went to turn it back on, it doesn't boot. It says "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP". I tried to flash CF-Auto-Root again, but I won't let me. What do I need to do to fix this?

OK, but how do I do that if I can't boot the phone? Whenever I turn it on, it shows the "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP" screen and shuts off when I press a button.

Reflash stock Boot & recovery images. You will lose root but you'll be able to boot.

Thanks! I reflashed with the stock rom and go it to boot. I rooted it again, but this time I made sure to OEM UNLOCK. I forgot to do that the first time, so when I logged into my Google account, it FRP locked me out.

I flashed XtreStoLite rom through custom recovery, everything went well. During the setup menus before entering the os it asked something about a reactivation lock. It sounded good so i turned it on. Next thing i know i cant boot into my custom recovery and i can't boot the phone. I put it in download mode flash the first thing i find with odin (it failed) but the phones boots. (I found this solution online)
There is no reactivation lock in settings but i can find it when i search settings. Needless to say when I disable the reactivation and search for it again it is still enabled.
Kies will not recognise it. There is no Samsung account of any kind in this rom. anything i've seen anyway.
When i try to factory reset through settings it says "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped".
What do i do? pls help
the phone is an SM-G900F running the latest XtreStoLite_ROM_v2.2_LP_ with a custom touch recovery which i cannot access.
As far as some users who encountered this problem said... Flashing a stock ROM with the same build number through odin was able to fix this issue.

i did that everything works fine but i can't install a custom recovery or root and i cant turn off reactivation lock. its in settings now but when i deactivate it it asks me to login to my samsung account. i do that it signs in fine but it is still enabled.
Like I said Flashing a stock ROM with the same build number... What I meant was a ROM that wasn't prepackaged by any members of xda but instead was built from samsung. Perhaps try using Kies to factory reset your phone instead.
When reactivation lock is on you can't boot to recovery & can't debrand your phone. But that doesn't block your from reflashing a ROM with the same build number as your current custom ROM has.
So what you need to do is
1. Flash a full stock ROM.
2. Factory reset
3. From Setup wizard login your samsung account and other details and disable reactivation lock.
4. Install custom recovery and root your device again.

Back to Kitkat and disable.
Then upgrade to Lollipop and install the custom files.
thank you very much everybody! its working fine now!
i just downgraded to kit kat 4.4.2 logged in to my samsung account and disabled reactivation lock with no problems. i then update with ota and everything is fine until now!
thanks again!
On.my 900f s5 uk edition on lollipop the reactivation lock was in the security menu. I had to flash twrp using flashify as it locked my phone when using odin and the twrp app. Of course now I know to deactivate the lock first lol

I already had twrp when i flashed the custom rom and during the setup the custom rom asked to enable reactivation lock, it sounded good at the time..little did i know! next time i reboot the phone into recovery to flash the aroma addon package for the rom i used, it locked the phone down.
I had to flash something with odin to make it boot into the os, the flash failed but it did boot! then i flashed the stock kit kat 4.4.2 from sammobile, did the setup, logged in to my samsung account and reactivation lock disabled just fine! did the OTA updates then root, installed twrp recovery and installed the xtresto rom with the aroma addon package.
Everything seems to be fine now!
I'm in the same boat. I can't even factory reset and cannot turn of activation lock KK.
phone still works. i just can't access recovery. cannot use odin to push kitkat back.
cannot use TWRP either. i'm stuck.
Damn XtreSto Lite Rom...what the heck.
found a way. Download and install Kies 3 on your comp. Follow the Firmware upgrade and initialization. it'll flash back to stock. follow the instructions.
Omg took me forever to find this solution.

it seems that for some people kies works to recover the phone (for me it didn't) and for some odin works to push kit kat and disable reactivation lock
anyway am glad you fixed it
Flash something from odin. The flash will fail but the phone boots afterwards. Don't know why this works but it did for me and rocking above. Once booted turn off the reactivation lock.
Try to flash kitkat firmware original with bootloader end pit file for ur device model you find in xda
What worked for me!!
Had the same problem. The rom locked me out. (reactivation lock was activated)
I flashed the stock LOLLIPOP firmware i got from sammobile using odin, the KITKAT firmware does not flash.
Logged into the phone with my original samsung account.
Removed that account from the device
Created a new samsung account from the computer.
Added that account to the device.
Turned of reactivation lock, and viola!! it worked
do i need to downgrade to kitkat just to make it work? remote control and reactivation lock? before im using stock rom rooted but still doesn't work. then i tried custom rom it's working but the only problem is private mode is failed to enable. then i switch to another custom rom then almost perfect but the remote control and reactivation lock is not working.
Just letting people know:
I had the same issue as OP, except that when I was locked in the first time setup thing, trying to log in with my Samsung account credentials resulted in the error message "Processing failed". I tried the reactivation lock bypassing trick that takes advantage of the samsung default browser and acessibility settings (can be foun on YouTube) but it still didn't help because when I pressed to add a Samsung account, nothing happened. It was probably due to some of Samsungs files missing on my phone due to the previous XtreStoLite installation that I was originally updating when I got into this mess.
What fixed it for me was flashing the stock 4.4.2 KitKat firmware from sammobile with Odin and THEN doing the reactivation lock bypassing trick. Just downgrading to KitKat and trying to login normally in the first time setup thingy didn't work as it resulted in the same "Processing failed" error as before on Lollipop. You guys have no idea how happy I was when I booted to download mode and saw "REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF". I had already lost almost all hope! :victory:
i have a more sexy problem ! i don`t have the reactivation lock option on website not even on my phone....! how to disable it ?

Thanks for your idea a few days helped me deactived my samsung s5. it has the same problem when i up rom xtrestolite 2.2 and active reactivation lock without knowledge what is it.
I declare my way:
1. find stock rom with same baseband in sammobile.com, there are 2 version: 5.0 and 4.4.2, you should choose both and use 4.4.2 first, if success, next step.
2. use odin, in tab AP choose file rom above
3. pass, finish
4. find on youtube "how to remove or bypass reactivation lock", find correct version for you.
5. finish, enjoy it
sorry my bad english
i flashed with 4.4.2 many time but not remove reactivation lock still here not disable
After toying around with XtreStoLite, I've gone back to stock firmware.
Having stupidly checked "reactivation lock" at some point, I am now unable to uncheck it even tough I'm using THE SAME ACCOUNT that locked the phone in the first place.
Going to settings->security->reactivation lock will trigger a password prompt, which I complete successfully, but after returning from it "reactivation lock" remains checked!
Any ideas? getting desperate here...
(And yes, I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help/help-soft-bricked-note-3-t2848679)
Downgrade to a stock KitKat ROM, log in with accounts, uncheck reactivation lock

Thanks Detection!
This worked.
A few notes for anyone who might land here with a similar problem.
1. I've found it easiest to flash stock firmware via Odin, stock firmware will flash successfully even with the reactivation lock on.
2. Be sure to do a factory reset + cache wipe via recovery after each firmware update.
Nice job

I done almost the same thing but when i rebooted after flashing this rom i had this trouble & it deleted my custom recovery because i had the activation lock enabled! & i was even more surprised that i couldnt hardly find a stock firmware to flash back on so i could fix? after 10hrs of pulling my hair out i finally unbricked this morning but only to find out that i was now on Kitkat again. This thread is where i found a quickier download for the kitkat firmware - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715487
Hope this helps anyone else who has this problem
So im trying to install twrp recovery but when i try to flash it thru odin, i get a Custom Binary (RECOVERY) blocked by FRP lock. I cant factory reset because it also disabled by FRP. I cant verify the tablet because i dont know the account information as the tablet was bought through craigslist. I have tried flashing a stock firmware version and that installed fine, but i still couldnt get past the verify screen. So thats when i decided to try and flash twrp but came into the binary error. I have been trying for the past two days to find a way around the verify identity and the frp lock. I cant enable oem unlock. I have tried rootjunky method but OTG flash wont pull up the file manager when plugged into the tablet. I cant use adb because i cant enable the developer settings because you guessed it i cant get past verify identity screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you need to find the Combination Firmware.

It only works with certain versions of 6. The one ending is PL4 is the one you want. The trick is in adding the fake wifi network instead of connecting to your home network. Pay close attention to the beginning of the video.

Tried this as well. I did it about 20 times before giving up. I might try it again and do it about 30 to 50 times. If I was just able to get to settings I'd be straight but I can't get to the settings so that's why I'm trying to reset it as a completely new device. Do you know if I could flash the 7 inch tab A firmware onto the smt580? Or flash the smt585 firmware onto the t580 and flash the BL AP and CSC?

From what I've read, Airwatch MDM lock can't be removed by flashing ANYTHING. It is third party anti-theft protection that has nothing to do with what ROM is installed. I know I ran into their stuff a few years ago with a used laptop I bought and only Airwatch was able to solve the problem after contacting their customer and verifying the laptop wasn't stolen.

I did end up finding this. Seems the device is completely locked with no way to get around. When i flashed the device i may have deleted the admin privilages so there is no way of gettting around it as of now. I might end up paying someone to fix it or get around it or i wasted 180$ on a locked device. The guy i bought it from either blocked my number or deactivated his number as i cant get in contact with him. Pretty pissed. Thanks for all the help tho
I had the black screen password happen to me when I downgraded my SM-P580 from Android 7 to 6. Try clearing the cache. If that doesn't work, try reflashing, then turn it off and reboot to recovery and clear the cache.

Do you think if i changed the CSC to a different region on the tablet, and put a unlocked bootloader on it, would it might get rid of the frp lock? Do you happen to have a smt580? If so do you think there is anyother way of getting around this? say if i flashed like your firmware on to my tablet? Im desperate to get this thing unlocked as i would be out 180$ :crying:. Thanks for all your help so far. I really appreciate it man. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.
Or what if i downgrade it to 6.1 and then downgrade it again to a even farther back version? Do you think this might work and gett me around the black screen? If so then i would be able to bypass the google verify account. Ima go ahead and try it unless its a risk of bricking the tablet completely.
I also read somewhere that if i flash the cp part on odin that it will erase all data. Think that might be worth a shot? But what do i need to insert in the cp slott? I know BL goes to BL and AP to AP and CSC home goes in CSC. So what goes in the cp slot?
EDIT: So instead of putting csc home in the csc slot i put the other csc file in its place. I checked the re partition box. When i did this i got a new message on the tablet in the top left of tthe download mode that says FRP is enabled, ignore PIT download. Any idea what this means?
Hi. My cousin asked me to root his SM-G531F and flash custom ROM to it. So, I come to him and tired to flash TWRP, just like I did on my SM-G350. But there's a problem - flashing fails, and there's a message "Custom image (recovery) blocked by FRP lock" or something like that. We rebooted (by taking battery of) phone and checked "OEM unlock" in dev settings. Tired to flash again - same message. IDK what more can we do. I don't want to brick his phone.
Also, when I searched for "FRP lock" there were no problem like ours, but lots of devices in bootloop with this message AFTER sucessful flash of custom ROM... That make me think about this all the day. I NEVER eccountered problem like that, but I never had so new phone, only old and easy-flashable ones. Is FRP lock dangerous? Do I need to do something to not brick his phone?
I found two types of slimiar looking locks - FAP lock and FRP one. Mine is rather FRP, I think I can read. What they really are and how they differ?

FRP: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/frp/
FRP Just locks your phone if you alter the boot or recovery image and you had a google account registered. To unlock it you have to wipe data (factory reset) and reflash stock boot.img and recovery.img before using it again. If your cousin wants to flash my ROM (lineageos-13.0) he'd better not, its not stable and he will encouter random reboots and codecs bugs. The best thing to do is to remove FRP from his phone and flash Magisk (a root manager like SuperSU) and debloat it.
For more information, find the Grandprimevelte group on Telegram.
I think I'm having the exact same problem as OP, the thing is that when you flash twrp and the magisk on the phone with FRP disabled (no google account) it works just fine, but if you choose to add a google account to the device later you get a bootloop. If you try flashing with a google account logged in on the phone it doesn't let you (same as OP).
Is there any way to add a google account on the device after flashing twrp and magisk without enabling FRP lock? Thank you

Yes, you must install a boot.img without frp. Then you will be able to use a custom boot/recovery and root your phone without problem.
Hi,
I've bought a screen broken G935F and fixed the screen. Now, I want to make a factory reset and start using the phone. But when I try to flash TWRP via Odin, it says "custom binary blocked by frp lock". What should I do to use that phone? I've reached the guy I've purchased the phone but he doesn't remember the pattern.

This happens when oem unlock is turned off in developer options. You need to enable it for flashing any custom binary.
Try flashing matching binary stock rom in odin and then enabling oem unlock.
If it asks last google account after flashing stock rom, then just enter your google account details. And if you don't have them, well there are methods on youtube to bypass google account frp lock. I guess some of them should still work.
And if your phone's binary version is 6 or lower you can try using combination rom with matching binary too. Good luck
