Hey guys, I have the T-Mobile 6T, unlocked and rooted, worked perfect until today.
Today it took the 9.0.5 OTA, it downloaded, installed, rebooted and left me with
"<!> BUILD VERSION and HW VERSION IS NOT MATCH"
Any chance someone can help?
I can't get it into recovery or anything.
The MSM download tool will help you.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...t-mobile-oneplus-6t-msmdownloadtool-t3868916/
I had hoped that it would. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work..
it seems that the phone just keeps rebooting before the tool can actually do anything.
The most I get is "Start download firehose binary" and the the phone disconnects.
Next is "Sahara Communication Failed."
after a few dozen more tries, I got a bit more. Now it says "Images do not match the phone!"
Try restarting into qcom mode as well as plugging into diff USB ports. Mine was doing that as well and eventually was able to get it to work.
How do I get into qcom mode?

Hold Power, Vol up, and Vol down. Screen will be completely black but phone will be recognized in device manager and will give you a COM port.
Also make sure you're using the Tmobile MSM Download Tool and not the one for international version. See link above that I posted.
Looks like it was the usb cable.
but I'm still stuck at "Images do not match with the phone!"
This is the T-Mobile variant, flashed with the global rom.

That was it, thank you! I don't know where the hell I got the wrong copy from!
You really bailed me out, thank you very much.

No problem. There's two tools in the guides section and the threads have similar names so it's easy to get mixed up.
In the future if you're going to international 9.0.5 or 9.0.6 make sure to use the full rom and not just OTA.

Oh boy, look what I found right in the thread about the MSM tool! Please see attached screenshot.
I have this issue on the international variant of the phone (Yes mine truly is the international model, it has dual sim, although its refurbished so the refurbishers borked something)

I used the international version on mine (T-Mobile 6T) since was in software and hardware error. You don't have to come back to TMobile software mandatory.

I've tried the different tools to no avail. also holding power, vol up and down will only go into fastboot mode. I believe just holding vol up and down is the qcom mode and inserting the usb c cable after about 10 seconds of holding those two buttons. otherwise the device will just keep rebooting into fastboot

I need some serious help guys. Phone is stuck at boot logo and wont turn on. IT wont enter recovery mode. it wont hard reset. It wont enter download mode.
The phone was completely stock originally. So i rooted using towelroot and ran the 'AutoREC' program. That did its thing and restarted and got stuck in fastboot mode. couldnt get out of it. Eventually managed to reflash all the original stock ROM partitions and it started to boot again... only to get stuck at the LG logo. I need some serious help.
PC wont detect the phone at all and its as if there is no OS on the phone. I have the D802 variant 32gb.
which kdz variant did you flash.

same thing happened to a d802 of a friend of mine. but he flashed the d802h variant. will keep you posted if i find a way out.
I am in the same position. Except I tried to flashify stock recovery on d800 at&t variant. I wanted to install the stock update because I was still stock. Just root with twrp before...I had the sprint variant before the ls980 and it never screwed me over like this. I'll post if I figure anything out... I got to get ahold of shellnutt... He's the g2's god.

Have you tried both ways to enter recovery?
Push PWR + Vol Down till you see the LG Logo then release and press both again
Push PWR + Vol Down till you see the LG logo then release and press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons until reset screen appears.
If you can see the LG logo I think you are not Hard Bricked
I haven't tried that exactly. I'll give it a shot when I get a chance

You may want to check your internal hardware to be sure it's marked as a D802. Typically the feint white stamp in the lower center/left of the phone with rear cover removed is the true model number. It's also stamped on the board and on the ribbon cables going up eithe side. Your device is showing the signs of a false d802 which has become sadly common in recent months.
If it's legit d802 then flash aboot, boot, laf and power it off.
Then hold voume up and connect to pc while still holding volume up.
Make sure you have the drivers installed, fire up lg mobile support tool or the lg flash tool 2014 (you need your kdz file now - find it using your imei and lg-firmware site)
Okay so I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 to get it to come up as a device in Windows and Linux. And this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 I'm sure you read this but you need to do it after following the first guide. I already have a Linux installed and I'm going to try today. I'll update with a guide for you only if you need it and if I succeed. I just need to remind you. You CANNOT mess up on the second guide... Well as far I can tell. But if the first guides label is actually true then maybe I'm wrong.
ok so ive ordered some tools to open up the phone and check the internals. Hopefully its a legit G2. Meanwhile every single possible combination of the power and volume keys does absolutely nothing. If all else fails ill try shorting the capacitors as ive seen on a guide from here and hopefully that will be the end of it. Thanks for all the input guys. Ill keep you posted!

Plug it into a windows machine, open device manager and look for Qualcomm qhsusb_bulk. If you get that, you're already in bulk and don't need to worry about shorting capacitors. If it's not being recognized in any way, you may be forced into that as a last resort.

All you really need to open it up is a guitar pick. It pries apart make sure you take the sim card out. After that it's going to take a little swipe around the edge and it'll pop open no problem.

I checked that already. Not going into bulk mode. Seems like the capacitors are my last resort
so ive poped the phone open and guess what... its not a D802.. its a D800.. the at&t version... wtf.. no wonder i bricked it. gonna see if i can use the unbrickable method
did you checked the IMEI?
nope its says on the speaker grille after you remove the back cover. "D800"
how is that possible? did phone information apps showed your device as 802 aswell? did kernel info and phone info in system settings lied too?
Hi there, I've been browsing through the threads related to unbricking of the Nexus 6P stuck in qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 mode, really desperate to get my device working again if even possible however I've tried for about four days now different ways and files and I've had no luck.
My bootloader is locked and no ADB etc managed to get my device showing as the 9008 port so I think it's stuck in EDL.

Use a hairdryer to warm up the back of the phone.
Are you pulling my leg? Warm it up then reflash?
nah im not trying to make you destroy your phone, being rather serious with this method. i use it on a daily basis to solve phones that fail during restoring factory images. i wouldn't know how long to give it with a hair dryer as i have access to a heat gun/heat mats .
just think of it as a cheap mans re balling method

thank you so much that worked, it has said flash successful, first time I got a google logo but now nothing, what would be my next step please?
if the bootloader is unlocked then you can directly flash the firmware. but if its not google "nexus ota" and then on your phone jump into the recovery and check the firmware model number and download the same ota and adb sideload it.
im not 100% sure on the next step as I've never had a nexus 6p with a dead bootloader. but thats what id do.
---------- Post added at 04:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 PM ----------
but from my personal experience with having to heat a phone up to restore factory images, it kinda means the phone is nearing the end of its life and id start thinking about buying your next phone before it sh*ts the bed.

yeah can you access the bootloader at all ? does it say that the bootloader is locked ? from trying to restore LG's it sometimes has to be re heated a few times, but yeah if you need to re heat it to get further into the phone then its pretty much a lost cause. the only reason i do it is to remove the data so we can resell the device.

I can get into the andriod screen where you can select recovery and such, with the BL, Baseband product variation and such, where should I go from here?
Oh right, so even once restored to firmware, will it be useless do you think if I can even manage to?

Hello....
How did you manage to get in to EDL mode..? I'm really curious. With stock bootloader? Since you can't access recovery
Also what is exactly displayed in Windows device manager?
You are using an outdated QFil version... It is from 2014 àr 2015.
Do a google search with: QPST_2.7.453.0 . This version seem to be from 2016.
Use the first link from the result. I analysed the files with virustotal, those seem clean or malware...
Also when plugging your usb cord to your PC, does your phone vibrate? Or does the LED blink in red?
You may have to press power button when plugging the usb cord or press power button for a certain amount of time before you plug the usb cord. I'm not completly sure, but your phone may not be in the "proper" EDL state to accept the QFil flash.
Good luck... :good:
Is it possible to send me the guide you used? Thanks.

Hey there sorry for slow replies, will be back on my desktop in an hour I'll send you links for what I followed and such, I think the only reason my device was in EDL mode was due to a hardware fault? As my device is faulty indefinitely as I had to use a hairdryer to warm it up while flashing this then allowed it to enter firehose state which a lot of people seem to error with - after all my attempts and research I'm to velieve there's a fault with the phone itself the only way I could get it to even power up was applying heat to it after removing the back panel
As blackcell said deballing or something? Worked a treat!
Furthest I've managed to get now is into my boot loader however everything is locked - when I press enter recovery my handset just freezes ?

I wonder:
-Which is your phone model, as stated on the back of the phone?
-Which is the file that you used to downgrade?
-Which stock rom did you try to flash?
The fix is pretty simple but seeing how you borked three simple procedures I'd like to know everything and lay it out for you precisely. You have to have done something horribly wrong to softbrick a phone with the stock updater system...

Okay at first my phone model on the back of my device is, as i mentioned before, "zte a2017g" thats the european version of this phone, chinese is "a2017" and the us version is "2017u".
The file i used 2 downgrade was the stock rom from the official website of zte
it was the full edl file buildnumber b10.
and again i once sofbricked it, i know how 2 fix that, but now it hard bricked, well i think so at least, i cant get it to boot into bootloader, recovery or anything, when i hold the power button it shakes the device, and it shows the zte logo for about 2 seconds then it disappears, and nothing happens but my computer does recognize it as a connected device but i cant use miflash of something else because those programs dont see it.

all right. it's still freaking weird. Use my DFU unbrick guide but only do step 4 and 5 (but use the files on the top anyways)(you just have to hold Vol+ and Vol - and insert the cable instead of taking the phone apart and shorting pins). After that check the driver, if it is still Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 then flash with MiFlash, if not, tell me what appears

Sorry, I don't believe you for one second. Like litterally THOUSANDS of people here and here opening "bricked plz hlp" threads, you didn't even have the BASIC, LOWEST courtesy of writing more than 10 words of gibberish whining about your situation, without a single usefull element of context.
Proof of that in the NUMEROUS questions asked about ELEMENTARY elements about your situation. You're litterally the kind of person that would go to a car mechanic, drop the keys on the counter saying "my car is broken, fix it" and just leave without a single word added. That's RUDE and, yeah, I'm tired AF of people like you who can't READ THE DAMN XDA RULES and got NOT education whatsoever.

Okay, let's try two things:
First right click on it and uninstall the device, also delete driver software for the device (it will be a checkbix asking for that after you hit 'uninstall device'). After that, hold Volume up, Volume down, and Power until the Device manager refreshes. After that the driver should reinstall itself. If it still shows with the yellow triangle, right click it, click on Properties, and send me a screenshot (or translate me what it says on the status part)

if you can only get to dfu mode and nothing else, use thise guide, you'll have to dismantle your phone. Had to unbrick mine with this from a hardbrick, worked flawlessly

Hey, a couple of things: one, i've updated the guide, it's around, much simpler to use. just saying. Two, this guy has the right driver. Don't confuse him with DFU while at least for now it is not.

I tried with two different cables and reinstalled the drivers a few times now. No port in the device manager. Just the Android ADB Interface tha showed when I installed the leeco adb drivers. On the ports just appear the standard Comunication port and printer port. I tried everything, the volume bottons power, etc. The Flash One dont recognize the phone for QFIL.

I dont have hardware problems. I flashed the Pixel Experience rom in february with sucess but I didnt like it. It had too much battery drain. Then I wanned to try some other rom like AICP. But in the process of flashing something went wrong. I wasnt able to flash it, always gave me the error 7. Then it simply died. I was rebooting TWRP mode and it went dead. Now just vibrates when I try to turn on. I tried the QFIL process (both volumes + power) but I dont even know. How can we know that it in qfil mode? My pc wont recognize anything. Not in Flash One, Not in QPST, nothing. Am I doing something wrong? The phone vibrates so its charged. I installed the Qualcomm drivers properly, I thing, eventhow it doesnt appear the qualcomm 9008 port in the device manager. Its suppose to appear before the phone is pluged right? Thank you for the reply.
I've no idea how to help you... Sorry.

Instead of creating a new post why not just read the enormous unbrick forums that exists and have proven steps. Many, Many phones have been debricked using those steps.
Hint, read the last pages for updated links to the software tools needed.
Next, I just found this cable which will help immensely with unbricking your device: https://www.amazon.com/GPG-EDL-Cabl...r1&keywords=edl+cable+for+wall+qualcomm+usb+c

Your phone is probably fixable.
Based on what you stated above, it seems that you downloaded and attempted to install the wrong version of TWRP and now your phone has no recovery at all.
Here is partial instructions I posted in the unbricking forum : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76100899&postcount=121
Use those instructions along with is mentioned below. I have personally helped so many people unbrick their phone that I have lost track and this is the reason why the posts are so long and extensive. Because sometimes what works for one person does not work for the next. So I have essentially have taken everyone's great advice and updated the links, made the instructions steps a little more concise and easier to read, fixed some incorrect steps or added the needed skipped steps. Plus added my own research into what I believe is now a definitive guide for unbricking the Leeco variants X720 and X727. The point of not reposting the information here is to keep everything from becoming more fragmented.
Yes, it's possible that you have a hardware issue. But, its also possible that it can be fixed!
Remember that you will not see the port unless you are in EDL mode
Just press volume △ (+) and volume ▽ (–) buttons together while powering the phone on.
It should now be EDL mode. If you cannot get into EDO mode, you cannot do anything else.
If you get an error, press and hold the power button while at the same time hold vol up + and down simultaneously plug the usb cord into the back of the computer while holding the buttons.
Yes, It's a pain and this is why the deep flash cable is handy....it's a special cable ( so your extra cables will do nothing to help you) The deep flash cable will automatically put your phone into EDL mode and allow you to use Flash on.
Install the Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 driver: https://goo.gl/9E3bKq or the from links provided in the unbrick forum.
There are multiple versions or Qfil, some have issues. I posted the correct one that works.
FOR anything else go to that forum read my and everyone else's posts. Again, I keep all of my linked files are up to date, and many are located on my own drives.
You can make one of these cables. Here's a video that shows you how:
https://www.youtube.com/watch v=kSiGsYK66gM&lc=z220yhtqvwyyct21pacdp432sh2xjecek10dae1jen5w03c010c.1524884617336803
it will not be a quick fix.
There are 4 or 5 different unbricking options and it requires persistence and patience.
The good news is that your phone has a solution that may work.
So when your where flashing a rom you got error 7 and your phone went dead.
I had gotten that same error.
Error could mean two things 1) update recovery or update firmware.
My point is sounds nice like hardware issue.
These phones are known for just dieing.
Also getting into that mode you have to push power+volume+volume- at the same time.

The phone (AT&T version) failed installing the Fi Android 9 update (following the instructions for LGUP modded) and after that the phone is now stuck in fastboot mode and can't enter download mode with the volume up and power button combo.
Am I out of luck or is there a way back to a functional phone?
Need help

To gain download mode with my AT&T variant all I did was hold volume up while plugging in usb that was already attached to PC.
Hmmm.

Yep, that did work at first when I was able to attempt the first flash in LGUP, but after it crashed the phone was stuck in Fastboot and would default back to fastboot even when I held the buttons for download mode. And now, the phone is stuck in Firmware Update mode. :crying:
Update: Phone has been fixed, got in contact with (motogvasyag) from XDA who helped me get back up and running. $20 well spent.

Same fastboot loop problem for my V35 after LGUP flashing with Android Pie. Did you send your phone to that guy or was the phone fixed remotely?
Hi there, the phone was fixed remotely via Teamviewer. He just had me install Octoplus pro, USB Network Gate and then a patched version of LGUP.
Same issue
