does the firmware region affect the phone while flashing stock rom ?
i looked up this link and there are many firmware of same android version but different regions. i am not sure which to download , mine model is h870s, and i want to downgrade back to nougat version which the phone was originally launched.

After root and recovery(TWRP) make nandroid backup(backup whole your system)
You can go back to stock unrooted with kdz and lg flash tool, you just need to go to download mod and flash kdz through lg flash tool.

Did you try to write your IMEI to here? http://www.lgkdz.com/
If you still can't find lollipop kdz for your country you can flash EUR version. We are all in Europe lol.
Are there any working custom recovery modes/root for the phone and software version number in the title?
No. Downgrade using a kdz then you can.
Do you have any links to downgrade using KDZ and to the root/custom recovery process? I cant seem to find them.
Do you try kdz 13A?

To downgrade google vs995 firmware and grab the vs99512a that's the firmware that came with the phone new. Also grab lgup that's what you need to push the firmware on the phone.
Kdz link

While I was trying to downgrade from Open Beta 4, I accidentally flashed Indian firmware on my device. How does one change it back to European software?
MSM tool back to your actual firmware. It's in the guides section
Kindly How can I upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S5 to the latest version?
Use Odin to flash the latest firmware. You can find that firmware on Sammobile or use Frija to download it.
The latest factory firmware for the SM-S902L is Android 4.4.2.
The only option to run a newer version of Android is with a custom ROM. However, be aware that older devices may not be powerful enough to run newer Android versions.
